  1. Ok, so this eBay seller (who doesn't want to share his secrets oddly enough), says that his xbox's are the only ones available with 720p or 1080p. I know there's a way...I can't find it because I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for or more importantly how to search it. here are the links: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Modded-Original-XBOX-Highest-Quality-Build-25K-Games-1TB-Loaded-/162667846744?hash=item25dfc25c58:g:PzkAAOSw881ZtMKA http://www.ebay.com/itm/Modded-Original-XBOX-HDMI-1080p-Upscaled-Highest-Quality-Build-25K-Games-1TB/162649509954?_trkparms=aid%3D555019%26algo%3DPL.BANDIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D41376%26meid%3Dea9a9176c657443c9bdc4ce67dc63bab%26pid%3D100506%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26&_trksid=p2045573.c100506.m3226 Thanks in advance for your help! 2. Hello everyone, some may be familiar with the 720p patches thread on the Emuxtras website. I want to make a thread here as well so they won't be lost. Many patches have been made(by various contributors) with many (near) perfect conversions. Some games require a 128MB or even a CPU modded Xbox, like the ones made by N64 Freak. But many also run on the a standard 64MB Xbox. IPS patches are really small (just a few KB's) and only contain the modified hex values and on what position in the binary they should be modified. You will need an application that can apply IPS patches if you want to use them. You can use Lunar IPS https://fusoya.eludevisibility.org/lips/ but there are also others. Because the patches are only a few KB's this means it is also a good candidate to patch them directly on the Xbox in XBMC. This is also why I have named the patches after the game ID's and denoted the target Xbox (64MB, 128MB CPU) to facilitate this. There is a project called python-ips( https://pypi.org/project/python-ips/) which runs on python version 2.7 (supported on XBMC) which seems to apply the patches correctly and can create backups. I might look into creating a XBMC python script that incorporates python-ips. But unfortunately I probably won't have too much time to do it and since I am unfamiliar with the XBMC specific syntax it will take a while. However if someone wants to pick this up before me than that is fine. This also goes for other making additional patches. Some of the better games that seem to run amazingly were made by Silverrock see videos of Doom 3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZf3CqUc_hs) and Darkwatch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhOPzUNW7Bo) I will add the patches here soon. You can check them out on Emuxtras if you want them now. here are some screenshots of some of the games.
  3. Hi, I am unable to display in 720p thru component cable. Using modern 4K TV with component port 480p / 720p are enabled in MSdash, Unleash X and XBMC4Gamers (booting 4gamers by default) The cable is OEM xbox 360 repurposed to fit OGxbox. (mode 2 and 3 enabled) I have an open xenium with LCD that displays the current resolution. I tried to boot from different bios Ind.5004 and X3.5035 seems to be locked to 480i Ind.5004 and X3.5035 (forced480p) gives me 480p but nothing else. While I understand that not all games are compatible with progressive scan, the dashboard and apps should run at 720p or am I missing something? Thanks
  4. Hi I have a PAL 1.6 xbox that I've recently rebuilt the LPC, added a Aladdin xt+2 modchip to and upgraded the hard drive with a larger 2tb. the system runs fine in SD via the standard AV cable (RED/WHITE/YELLOW lead) once I switch the console over to NTSC video settings and reboot the console with a component lead it switches to 1080i or 720p fine but will randomly reboot. Has anybody come across this before and know a fix? Thanks in advance
  5. I'm trying to set my system start up in 720p. If I go to the MS dashboard from UnleashX menu, change the settings, do a soft reboot UnleashX will come back up in the display settings I've set. If I power off the system and power back on these settings don't save. The only settings that do stick are what I set in the UnleashX dashboard settings. The MS Dashboard reverts back. Any suggestions? Not sure if relevant but: -Using a Pound Technologies HDMI cable -Softmodded xbox using rocky5 migration to sata and upgraded ide cables -Just removed my clock capacitor.
  6. Hi all, I have finally loaded all my xbox games onto my 2tb hdd. I am booting right into xbmc4gamers. I have the settings set to 720p 16:9. But when I exit a game, after the splash screen xbmc4gamers reverts back to 480i resolution. When I go to settings it shows it is in 720P 16:9 but it is not. I have to go to the video calibration made and exit and then it goes to 720P. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
