Well, a few days ago one original xbox fell in my hands, it has lot of problems but I wanted to mod it to the max and so, I found this forum looking for help. Thank you all in advance!

Hello i just brought a Crystal Xbox and i need some help. I have been speaking to the guy who sold it to me, He knows nothing about modding but has been super helpful, He brought the xbox of his friend before him, But his friends got the xbox of someone else before that. What i need help with is distinguishing weather the Xbox that i have brought has a mod chip or not? He tells me when he turns on the Xbox an Evo x logo come up in the top left corner. He also says it is region free, and plays DVDs without the dvd add on. I asked for more detail and this is what he told me and this is all he knows. The seller. Ok I’ve checked and you need to hold the power button down to get the evo x logo to show. Holding down the eject button or just simply pressing the power button boots it to the xboxdashboard. So I’m guessing that it has the chip but the bios needs flashing by connecting to a pc. I don’t have a clue how to do that. I know nothing about Xbox modding at all. If i have brought a modded Xbox then i may need some advice, on stuff like How to flash a bios on it, What bios to use? I would want to replace the CD rom drive as he says it is sticky and upgrade the HDD so i can install games to the HDD My problems is that i know 0 about modding original Xboxes. But i have some technical background and i have modded previous consoles. Thank you! Sorry for my lack on knowledge on the subject. I also brought a USB Adaptor Cable Cord for Xbox (Original) So i can use a usb on the xbox if needed. He says the The manufacture date of console is 18/6/2004 as well.

Hi all, just found this site and looks like a good resource for original Xbox modding. I started modding Xboxes way back not long after they first came out. I had an original V1.0 box with an Xecuter X3 chip, which I was stupid and eventually sold. I'm back in the game now with another X3 modded box and another one I'm soft modding and going to do a TSOP flash. Looks like some good resources here.

I am looking for someone who is able to preform the following mods. X3IR mod and the internal Logitech controller dongle mod. Thank you.

I have an X3 modded console with the pro faceplate. I’ve seen videos online of people using dvd remotes to remotely power on the system. I have also seen videos of people using the Logitech wireless controllers with the dongles mounted inside the machine. I am wondering if this is something that can be/has been done, and if so are there any tutorials/ people willing to do the mod for $. Thank you.

hello im a newbe im trying to softmod my original xbox without a game or usb adapter i get as far as opening xplorer 360 and it doesnt detects the partions the drive is hotswaped into my pc and the computer management detects the drive but the xplorer360 doesnt please help its a 1.6 a version xbox

Preferably from belgium (because that would remove possible expensive shipping costs) but if its affordable to ship from somewhere else then its fine by me.

Hi everyone, i have an xbox with a strange issue. i soldered the tsop, one i had to do alternative soldering because the tin went of the 2 points. it boots once when the board doesnt have power for a while, then it freezes when loading hexen. sometimes it doesnt even turn on, it powers on, beeps, powers off, beeps and red and green lights pulse. i didnt even flash it yet. could removing the clock cap cause this issue?

Hi people! So i was walking pass a garbage dump waiting to be picked up by the trashmen that day, when this big bag caught my eye with some electronic gear in it. To my suprise it had loads of cables and controllers and this Xbox! That cool thing i wanted back then at the start of the millennium,.. but didn't had the money for it . Took it home, hooked it up and to my surprise it is working fine! (that attitude of people throwing working things away makes me quite angry ) I am in luck i guess. Looking up i found out it's best to mod it these days.. and found this: But it seems i can only get error 11 and not 12... i think thats why its not unlocking... as my computer can find it but Xplorer360 can't. I have Kernel 1.00.4034.01 and Dash 1.00.5960.01 ...so far my first steps into modding my xbox hope one of you know how to go further

Hello World Let's discuss about Linux on Xbox Original, and what is it good for? I've read people use it to browse the internet and even watch Youtube throught a special distributive of Mozilla. Can anyone confirm launching Linux ports of Windows games on XDSL, and which ones? Counter Strike port for Linux would be awesome, never tried that, but found a port of 1.4 or 1.5 on the web. Maybe anyone kept a website on Xbox, by using it as server? What I was most impressed of, is the posibility of running a cluster of Xbox-es, tried that few years ago, but the update links for that distro were all dead, hope somebody has an image of a Linux distributive with everything set up or maybe can point on how to fully install everything in 2018. Hi, All Xbox Mod Experts Currently the SpiderChip on my Xbox v1.1 doesn't work very stable (likely because of its solderless type). Hence, I am planning to TSOP with X2 5035. However, my Xbox's DVD is faulty and unable to read any CD/DVD (including original DVD). So I think I have to flash TSOP from HDD. All the tutorial I managed to find is to use HeXEn DVD. However, I noticed that in HeXEn TSOP tutorial, if the Xbox has WinBond TSOP, it will load and flash via Gentoox, For non-WinBond, it will flash through normal EvoxDashboard. Thus, for my Xbox (v1.1) with faulty DVDROM, instead of HeXEn DVD, can I flash the TSOP directly through either Evox Dashboard or Gentoox? and if it is possible, which method would be more safe and successful ? Does anyone have any original xbox controller that is pad hacked. I want to build arcade cabinet.

I'm a noob and I need a little help please. I have softmodded my Xbox with Unleash X and now I want to hard mod it. I have burned Hexen 2018 disc image file to a disc and now I am trying to figure out how to get Xbox Bios Checker either v4 or V5 onto a disc. I burn the files to the DVD R disc but the Xbox won't recognize it. What Files do I need to burn onto the disc? Should there be a disc image file? What am I doing wrong? Do I have to hardmod it first for this to work? I'm sorry but I have looked at so many videos and searched so many forums that now I'm lost in the forest. Please break out the crayons on this one to show me how to do this. Thank you.
