Hi everyone, I'm new here. Long story short. I'm trying to install MakeMhz XboxHD+ Hdmi Mod to my Xbox with 1.6v motherboard and 2TB HDD. I'm stuck with BIOS patching. Patched BIOS gives coma Console issue. All I get is steady green light on Xbox and black screen. All patching was done following official MakeMhz guide with EvTool 1.0.9 and correct ips file. Unpatched BIOS works just fine. I'm using Evox M8+ 16 Bios with OpenXenium modchip. Can't figure out what I'm missing. Tried different Bios'es. Also tried Using my old Aladdin Chip with same result. After patch is applied and flashed, I'm getting coma console. Also EvTool 1.0.9 won't recognize patched BIOS, gives me Unsupported kernel error. BIOS that I've tried to use, MD5 Checksum matches (as per MakeMhz website). Any help would be much appreciated. As I've been trying to work it out for two weeks now.

Hi I recently got back to the og after seeing the clock cap problem. I have a version 1.0 that has trace damage from the cap. It works boots fine and replaced the thermal paste on gpu & cpu with MX4. I dont think its a heating issue. When I play a game it shuts off. On the dash the temps seem to be at 45 degrees Celsius 1. I am looking to preseve this for the future, is it possible this is a capacitor replated problem ? 2. This is a list ive tried to piece together with information looking around. HELLO, Hey guys and gals. I have been a OG xbox owner since I kicked my PS2 to the side for real online gaming way back when. I never was much of a collector, just a gamer. As time has gone on I am now more of a collector and less of a gamer due to life and work always consuming the free time. Since I only ever owned a standard black console I have since started collecting for the now aging system, now I have a total of 12 OG xboxes. CIB JAP dead or alive system, a crystal clear system and a ton of the black ones to include an original Trusty mod console with an Xecuter 3 chip and the lovely front panel with screen and bank selection. I've also managed to snag a freshly built N64 Freak system direct from the source to round out the collection. What brings me here? Well all of these stock black consoles. I repair consoles and install mods for fun, started a small business to try and support my desire to tinker. I've done PC-Engine LT, Super CD-ROM, TurboGrafx, Turbo CD, Vectrex, Atari, etc rebuilds. HDMI mods for NES, Dreamcast, N64, OG Xbox, Saturn to name a few. Rebuild laseractives and many IPS screens to many handhelds, gameboys to lynx to wonder swans... At this point I've done most of the hardware stuff and I want and need to deep dive the software side to gain a better understanding. I've recapped, installed HDMI in most and added mod chips to most of the remaining black consoles and I want to upgrade the drives and make these things one stop shopping for gaming so I am here to learn. Hi all !I have an Xbox Original which is hard modded (i think is Aladdin mod but not sure, see picture). I have recently being adding stuff through FTP method, which had worked great until now. I tried to boot unleashx instead of EVO X which am currently using, but i accidentally renamed a file (i think it was unleashx.xbe) to something else and now it wont boot. it shows error 21 and the FTP method wont work anymore. Booting from disk also is not an option.Anyone knows how to fix this? i head that a hard modded xbox is easier to fix than a softmod. I just need to access the HDD to just rename the file back to how it was. I tried using explorer360 (run as admin etc.. ) but could identify the driver in any case.Any help would be appriciated, Thanks.

I tried softmodding my xbox using splinter cell and during the process I accidentally deleted the ms dashboard. now when I turn the system on it flashes red and green and it boots up to an error screen but with no error code. Please help!

Hi Guys So I wanted to share what I was recently able to do using xboxhdm23usb. So I softmodded my xbox, then what I did was null my hdd key. After that I backed up my eeprom and dropped it into the xboxhdm23usb folder. I then took out the hdd and connected it to an IDE to usb adapter and then used xboxhdm23usb to unlock the drive. (This was easy because I nulled the key). I then used a program called HDD raw copy tool and was able to make a complete image of the Xbox HDD. I then relocked the drive and put it back in the xbox (Working fine). I then connected up a spare drive and used HDD raw copy tool to clone the image i made back onto the new drive, then used xboxhdm23usb to lock it. I then popped that into the Xbox and it worked as well. I then used xbpartitioner to give the remaining space to the F Drive. The nice thing about this method, is that I now have an image back up of an xbox HDD with a nulled key. So I can easy clone it to a new drive and pop it into any xbox (Provided they nulled the key on that xbox as well). Let me know what you guys think.

I acquired a few Xbox's cheap recently that were broken one of which was throwing an Error 5 on boot. This Xbox turned out to be modded but the solderless LPC header wasn't installed properly, I removed it and soldered a header directly to the board (and wired D0). Now I'm able to boot to the chip but it halts on startup.https://imgur.com/a/GN13n82I Attempted to load Xenium OS 2.1 recovery CD but the menu never comes on the main screen. It did early on but went black and never loaded again. I have tested this drive on my 1.6 Xbox and know that it is functional.Also I installed my Aladdin XT modchip and the system will boot fine with that. Is there any way to recover this chip or is it dead?

Hi guys, I finally got another CRT setup and I'm about to softmod my regular xbox console and get some case mods and other goodies for it including RAM upgrades! To fund this, I want to sell an xbox debug unit I have. It comes with the debug specific AV cable with Svideo and Composite. It sounds loud, but the tray opens and closes and it boots up just fine. My V1.1 Xbox is triple fragging, this happened after I tried swapping out the 40 Pin IDE cable for a 80Pin one. I've done a bit of debugging and found that the LPC header pins 3 and 5 aren't reporting correct voltages both reading below 1v What I think has happened is when I installed the 80 Pin IDE cable I without knowing freed up one of the solder joints on the switch that's on the XeniumICE which switches it into recovery mode(I have resoldered the broken joint and it didn't change anything and yes the switch is in the correct position, though I've tried both positions and still a frag) and somehow that's caused something to get fried but I'm not sure what exactly Uploaded some pictures of my LPC header soldering and D0 point for shits and giggles I have done continuity tests to the alternate points and they're all reading with continuity https://imgur.com/a/rBbAdlR

Got this xbox with a couple of 360s and it puts the logo up and the Microsoft logo also pops up then nothing. Put Halo2 disc in and it booted up and showed the previous players save games so i assume the HDD is working at least. Now i thought it had been modded as when i looked underneath it had warranty stickers over the labels you have to cut to open the machine. Also the modder/repairer and also put hot glue in the torx screws (twat). Alas no hardware mod and i know next to nothing about softmods (my modding was always HW mods). Also i got this nice message when i took the lid off. Some suggestions would be appreciated as at the moment I'm thinking something may have happened to a softmod.

Ok so first off let me say this - I am the dumbest person in the world ...so hopefully I covered that upfront I bought a modded XBOX off eBay YEARS ago...I just finally got it out of storage and hooked it up It has Xenium on it - I don't remember if this is a hardware mod - but it might be Anyway - there are (or were) two dashboards to choose from One is MS DASHBOARD A - which doesn't really have anything And then there was the X Dashboard (I cannot remember the correct name) - that is wher everything was - to play a game from HDD or Disk, or from the laoded Emulators - everything...it basically was everything on the XBOX and the way I play games The XBOX came with a lot of games loaded on it, and I was trying to remove some of the games that were on it that I didn't want So under the two choses for Dashboard to go into is ADD a NEW Item and REMOVE an ITEM I was trying to remove games so I selected "REMOVE AN ITEM" and then selected the Xenium Dashboard - thinking that I would go INTO that area to remove the game... But I removed THE WHOLE DASHBOARD And I cannot figure out how to get it back.. I tried going into ADD a NEW ITEM but I cannot find it - its all files on various Hard drive partitions ... Can anyone please tell me how to fix this? I feel like I just totally ruined and deleted my entire Xbox...and I am freaking out Please please help me...I don't know what to do... I think this belongs here? Since I'm just trying to install XBMC4Gamers. But like the title says, Xbox Softmodding Tool Extras Disc will not boot when I try to boot it from the "Applications" section. I've followed the instructions on how to set up the files correctly, but when I click on XSTED, the screen goes black for a few seconds then it goes right back to the UnleashX dashboard. I thought maybe it's mounting it to the disk drive virtually? But even my disk drive won't boot a disk when there's a disk in it using the "Run CD in drive" button, no matter what's in the drive. I'm kinda at a loss, so I'm coming here for some help. Attached is how I have it setup on the drive. 1.4 that's been TSOP'd, if it matters

My Xbox is not modded and kind of wanted to keep it that way, I wanted to replace my hard drive, is it as easy as just putting a new drive in my xbox? because i heard about having to unlock and lock with eeprom key, is there a way i can do it without modding or unlocking and locking a hard drive? thankyou for your time everyone!

I have an OG Xbox that no longer works, I've tried a different power supply and replaced some capacitors that were bad no luck, my friend gave me a working Xbox same model. Is it possible to swap the drive from my dead one to the "new" one and retain all the data? Also if I can't do that would it be possible to transfer the save data and games to the new system?

I recently acquired and old Xbox 1.1 with a a hard drive and disk drive both dead. It came with Aladdin XT2, so i switched the old hard drive to a new 80GB one and managed to install a new dashboard using an old computer disk drive i had laying around. Everything seemed to work fine and the console booted with Unleash X, but almost all games i tried installing on it's hard drive won't work. Dashboard tries to launch them, but the console simply resets to it's main dashboard. Not all games failed thought, 4x4 Evolution 2 and AMF Extreme Bowling started and worked fine without problems, but this is more of an exception than rule. It's weird, cause all emulators worked, and i was able to play Quake 1, 2 and 3 homebrew ports with no problems at all. Can someone please help me? Thank you!

Week or so back I was doing some testing with various dashupdate.xbe files extracted from some early Xbox LIVE enabled games (Xbox LIVE enabled games were always shipped with a dashboard updater) and ended up finding quite a few different dashboard/online dashboard revisions that I haven't seen listed anywhere, which got me curious about how many dashboard revisions were actually pushed out (on disc, can't exactly know which were pushed over Xbox LIVE anymore) I was looking for a list of Xbox LIVE enabled games and was surprised that couldn't find one anywhere. Hello, Got a v1.1 Xbox today that i wanted to TSOP flash, but it has some issues, before doing anything the console was tested. The hard drive is making some loud whirring sound, but it manages to boot to dash, this will be replaced with a bigger drive. The DVD ROM was locked solid, so after opening the console and the DVD ROM, and giving it a good clean, that is now working again. But when i tested the DVD to see if it ejects, which it does, every eject press the console now appears to soft reboot, i mean it restarts but doesn't power cycle. Anyways i soldered the points on the mobo, and continued to flash which was successful, but the problem still remains with the eject. The console hadn't been opened before today, as far as i remember it didn't reboot on eject when i 1st turned it on to test and was trying to eject the tray. Have tried an alternate power/eject board but no change, also the console boots with no DVD drive connected also with no change, so i am out of ideas. Has anyone experienced this, or know of a fix ? any help is appreciated.

Started my Xbox for the firat time in ages. i heard bubblig noise and a strong small hit me. So i pulled out the power cord and opend the Xbox. Could only find some liqud that Smelled stron on the harddrive pleas help.

Can I ask the community for some help please: I’m trying to make a back-up of my WD Blue 1TB hard drive from my Xbox and can’t seem to get the duplicated drive to boot. My Xbox is modded with an Xecuter X3 chip and that is working fine; I have the X3 panel on the front which is lighting up blue and booting ok with my original drive – and it is booting to the X3 bios on my duplicate one. I’ve duplicated my original drive using HDD Raw Copy 1.10 (through two separate USB docking stations). Obviously I received read errors throughout the process; but it has reached 100% and finished. However, when I plugged in the back-up drive and booted up the Xbox, I got error code 16. When I switched banks and booted to the X3 bios it updated some settings; but when I boot to the bios bank that should be loading my XBMC Media Centre dashboard, I get error code 13. Basically my question is: am I missing something/doing something wrong? I wonder if I still need to “tell” the bios that this is a different drive somehow? Any advice gratefully received thanks.
