A couple of weeks ago I decided to do a removable LCD screen mod that plugs into the controller ports. I'm thinking of raffling this to help support the website. What are your thoughts?

Hey guys, Wyverino here I am fairly new to the xbox modding scene. My gf just gifted me an old premodded 1.1 for christmas and I love it so far. I just want to tweak it a little more to make it my hopefully favorite console! Wish all of you guys a happy new year!

So ive formated the drive via install disk. Every time i install new partition and shut down and put the xboz back on. The partition reset and go back as one. 1.8 tb. Please help. Ive tried xbox partiioner and and splitting them. Same problem as soon as i switch it off. Everything resets. Im using a 2.5 inch 2tb drive by the way

I have a backup of my entire softmod/og xbox hdd that i did when i did the softmod on it. It's in a .iso file. It contains everything on it from c,d,f partitions and has the backup of the eeprom in it. My evolutionx dash, skins, few programs like dvdtoxbox. I softmoded it with the sid 5.0 and game exploit, had Evolutionx dash. The hdd i upgraded to 360gb hdd. I must have made the backup before i started burning games to the drive. I have no clue what i did with the original drive, i probably chucked it as i had the backup. How do i take this backup .iso and put it on a new hdd to put in my xbox as there doesn't seem to be any tutorials on doing this specifically? So bit of background; I'm not a noob to softmodding og xbox's, but last time i did a softmod was before the rocky5 method existed. My xbox is stuck on and will only boot to the xbox dash after an error 21. This happened after i accidentally clicked on connect to xbox live on call of duty and it updateed. I read somewhere there are 2 files you need to delete once a game is copied to hd in order to prevent this, but i can't remember what they are? Any help there would be good to. I cannot ftp into the hdd anymore as ftp won't find the console. Also i tried burning the Hexen2018 to disk, but that won't boot, and have since learned you need softmod dash for it to boot so no luck there. Next i tried xboxhdm23usb beta3 as i have a few spare external 2.5 dives in external enclosures. Only thing i did here was put the eeprom in root folder and tried basic build as is first to see if it will work. But again no luck. It finds the hdd's, but keeps coming up with -h and -d errors when i choose option 5 or xboxhd program. Can anyone help?

everything's been solid for some time now save for a couple of games that simply refuse to work and im ignoring them....., so my wife created a new profile to use instead of using mine so she could set faves and such...seemed like a good idea....but now, no profile works...so im stumped "script error"script failed xbmc4gamers" then it pops up a message on the bottom left of the screen "error script is missing or taking to long to finish, please send me a copy of your xbmc.log file " i assume the log file thats needed is the /E/xbmc/system..if so..its attached. xbmc.log

Picked up another xbox that was sold for parts and untested. Noticed a switch hanging out of the bottom so took a chance. Xbox started up fine and booted up custom bios. Had to remove the motherboard to remove clock capacitor that has visibly failed. Does not appear to be any damage to the traces (version 1.4 or 1.5). Will reinstall the chip after cleaning up the xbox to see what I have. Already downloaded the install instruction that were on another thread.

Hi From France, I am a new comer. I am in love with retro gaming and i have many systems (SEGA, NINTENDO, ATARI, COMMODORE, MSX, THOMSON). Recently i decided to start to collect XBOX games (the original). I now have two PAL XBOX that seems to be 1.6 version. I have the project for hard modding there XBOX'S with a Aladdin chip + 2TB hard disk. Since i am new i am a bit lost and i would require your help for this project to have your advises. Firstly i am locked for downloading Hexen software, it looks like i am not allowed. Can you please help me to unlock the download section?

I completed my first softmod a few weeks ago and was not satisfied with the outcome so i ordered a couple of the aliddan xt chips. So far this looks like a great community for it. Any input would be helpfull. Happy to join Mattison

So I have a 1.0 with a dead HDD, I used PiPROM to recover the eeprom.bin so I can build a new drive. Is there a tutorial somewhere on adding a softmod directly to the new drive before I lock it?

Hello From The Uk..

I bought a new OLED65B9PTA tv but am having issues connecting the XBOX to it. I can hear audio but don't see any video. The tv has a 3.5mm socket labeled 'AV1' and an adapter cable that goes from white/red/yellow TCA sockets to a 3.5mm plug and that's what I've connected to. When digging for info I found https://www.cnet.com/reviews/lg-oled65b9pua-review/ which says 'Unlike many of Samsung's sets, this one actually has an analog video input for legacy (non-HDMI) devices, although it no longer supports analog component video.' I'm not very clued up on exactly what the different outputs are. Is the xbox output analog component video and that's why I'm not seeing anything? I double checked plugging into my old TV and the XBox itself definitely still works. I'll appreciate any tips you might have. Cheers, Pete

I've been modding xboxs for about four years now. I have killed three being stupid and shorting things out installing random mods. although 3/20 isn't horrible it also isn't great. I'm here to learn, and get some files. Xbox forever!

Hi, New member here and will hopefully be a first time xbox owner soon A friend is sending me a mod'd xbox to add to my collection, I have never owned or done any mods to one before so lots of learning on the horizon for me. This seemed a good place to come for info and help if required so here I am! My friend has done a bios mod to it, removed the clock cap which I understand are suicidal on these and replaced the Drive band so that saves me some work He has advised that I need to get a Hexen disc which I believe I can download from here somewhere and after that I guess there's not much to do until it gets here and I can start tinkering One thing I would like to do and maybe you guys can point me in the right direction is change the main PSU. The reason being its a US console and I am in the UK, Obviously I can run it through a transformer to reduce it to 120v but I was thinking if I could find one it may be worthwhile swapping out the entire PSU for a 240v one. Is that possible? Anyways see you on the boards

Yo, Inno here. 23, finally got an original Xbox after not having had it for, like, 16 years or so. It's nice being able to explore the library of the original Xbox after all this time. Hell, being able to hold the controller in my adult hands and actually play games with it is a neat experience. I'm not huge on forums, but we'll see if I finally have a forum that I can stick around in without losing interest. Here's hoping I poke back in here for as long as I play Xbox, which I anticipate is a long time to come.

i found the new xbox360 dvd belts are a perfect match for the samsung drives on these og xbox's but i haven't found a good one for the thompson. anyone know of one?

Hi there, Xbox owner since the latter days of the consoles life, still have my first owned box, shes a bit tired and needs some love, after running an old softmod for the longest time, I've decided to take the plunge and give it a refresh with some new software and a hardmod. I know I'm very late to the game but if I can breathe new life into my old machine I'll be happy! Just thought it would be good to pop my head up and say hey instead of being a serial lurker.

i was ftp'ing games onto my new hdd when filezila suddenly error'd. when i went to check my xbox the dashboard said i have 0mb left(i had over 2,000gb on this partition) on e drive and games management said i only have 3 games installed. i deleted the games and the dashboard was saying i only have 3,000+mb's free. long story short, i kept messing around with trying to reformat the hdd and put about 1024gb on 2 partitions but the dash board would only show that i had a little over 3,000mb on each partition even the partition wizard was saying i had 1024gb on each partition. what the heck is wrong with this thing? i'm currently erasing the hdd in my pc and writing all 0's to it. then i intend to try it again but i have no idea if this gonna fix it. btw, i have an aladdin chip(5004 f and g bios), 80 wire ide cable, and 3tb barrcuda seagate drive.
