Ah ha, XeniumOS v1.0 must have a different method to start up the XeniumOS than the 2.x versions. The 2.0 manual says to use Eject button. I'll have to try holding the white button on a used v1.6 console I bought that has a Xenium SP I.C.E. modchip installed. I'd first update to the latest version of the XeniumOS. Download XeniumOS v2.3.1 Update from HDD or DVD (disc) with the ISO version. If I'm not mistaken; however, READ the MANUAL for how to UPDATE the XeniumOS, you have to open the case and flip a switch on the Xenium modchip to flash the XeniumOS (recovery mode). Once the XeniumOS is updated, flip the switch back for normal operating mode.

You need to know which modchip (Update: forgot you said it was a Xenium modchip in the OP) or TSOP chip your console has on the motherboard. It may be Winbond or Sharp that requires a different menu option and/or soldering to enable flashing. Update: Power on the console with the Eject button to get into the Xenium OS menu and reflash it from there. Looking for the Xenium OS manual that I'll attach here once I find it. There are Xbox DLC installers for most if not all of the games that had any available. These DLC items are Xbox executable packages used to install the DLC content into the proper location on the E drive for their associated game. available at www.digiex.net For them to work, I think you have to already have played the game and there exists a game save on the HDD.

You may need to use an 80-wire 40-pin high-speed IDE cable instead of the stock slower speed 40-wire 40-pin cable.

There are light guns that work with the Xbox and newer LCD TVs. EMS Top Gun 3 I don't own one so I'm not sure if it will work with all Xbox light gun games. I've seen Floydzabarber use it to play the Chihiro game Virtual Cop 3 on a 128MB RAM upgraded ogXbox.

Is the HDD set to CS or MASTER? If CS, try changing it to MASTER and connecting it to the end of the IDE cable. How'd you connect the HDD to the DVD's connector? The IDE cable is so short to get it there.

From the content of the Makefile, it looks like the development environment to compile the code is Linux, not Windows.

Yes, not having the 80-wire 40-pin could cause it to not boot. However, I think most get a 07, HDD timeout, error screen displayed, not FRAGing.

You don't have to softmod your already TSOP hardmodded system to be able to reflash a different BIOS to it. Use Hexen 2018 disk and select the hard modded menu items for flashing a BIOS. There are BIOS's for v1.0-1.5 consoles and others for 1.6. You need to know the version of your Xbox to decide which BIOS to select. You can also upload XBlastOS XBE edition to the HDD and flash using it instead of needing to boot the HeXEN 2018 disc.

Error 13 is a dashboard startup error. It shouldn't have anything to do with the DVD not present.

I don't think there's any setting to change. The DVD check hack is always enabled.

Most prefer iND-BiOS 5004 I have an X3 modchip so use the X3 BIOS on my system. Many don't like the Evolution-X M8plus BIOS's purple Evo-X shield that gets displayed in the upper left-hand corner of the screen during the bootup animation.

If you are TSOP flashing, a 1.0 can use either a 256KB or 512KB sized BIOS. while a 1.4 you can only use a 256KB sized BIOS.

All depends what size bank your modchip uses. For 256KB banks: M8plus, iND-BiOS 5003 or the Feb-11-05 Beta (aka 5004) and 512KB bank: X2 5035 iND-BiOS and X2 5035 use a text configuration file that can be edited to disable the DVD check on bootup. Note: HeXEN 2018's M8plus BIOSes have already been configured to remove the DVD check. Use the one for your Xbox version. There are two one for v1.0-1.5 consoles or v1.6s.

The problem I see is that the RAM on the Xbox is shared between the CPU and the GPU. The mod you show is for a separate graphics card plugged into a slot on a PC motherboard. No memory shared between the CPU and GPU. Is the voltage level to power the GPU separate from the CPU of the Xbox? Also, I'm not sure that just changing the voltage level alone will change the GPU speed. Other settings in configuration registers of the GPU would have to be modified and or the clock circuitry that drives the GPU.

Try opening a cmd.exe window and try the following command line: smartctl --scan Does it show your USB connecteed HDD? You may have to add the path to the smartctl command or be in the folder that contains it and use: .\smartctl.exe --scan That's two dashes before "scan".

I think you need to add "-d sat" to every line that calls smartctl.exe found in the batch files in the XboxHD folder of XboxHDM23USB Beta 3.

What is the USB VendorID:ProductID for your adapter? Some adapters don't work without adding an additional option to all the smartctl.exe command lines in the XboxHD/[unlockhdd.bat, lockhdd.bat, checklockhdd.bat] files. XBlastOS is not a hacked BIOS to load Xbox disks. It is MS free code and doesn't run games I'm surprised the Xbox boots into the softmod with it. I've never tried to use it to boot into the MS dashboard as I thought since it is based on Cromwell (Linux) BIOS's it was only for flashing a different bank with a hacked BIOS or booting a linux distro for the Xbox and other testing built into it.

Oh well, not as extensive as @abazz009 mentioned. I'd not heard of such being displayed during gameplay but I won't say it's not possible.

Looks like Xored Trainer Launcher v2.1 by acidflash supports an LCD. From its configuration file there are lines to enable and set the type of LCD in use: # LCD Support "X3","SMARTXX","ALADIN4" are validLCD_Enable = "FALSE"LCD_TYPE = "X3" Maybe it's the trainer that shows the ammo, shield and health that @abazz009 mentioned before in Halo. Continues on into the Xored Mini Launcher v2.2 too.
