  1. Take a look at the all the information available through the Wayback Machine's captured content of teamxchanger.com's web site. Some content may be missing but there's a lot of useful content available. http://web.archive.org/web/20060106010757/http://www.teamxchanger.com/
  2. If that didn't fix it, a modchip may if in fact it is a BIOS problem. If the problem lies elsewhere most likely not. Chances of completely borked TSOP, possible. Reflash now, not likely. Remove the chip from the motherboard, flash it with an external programmer and reinstall it. I'd try a modchip just to make sure it is not a TSOP BIOS loading problem. The path to load the BIOS using the TSOP (parallel reading from the flash memory chip for v1.0-1.5 Xbox consoles) or a modchip (LPCbus) are different.
  3. Found these two pictures for v1.0-1.1 and v1.2-1.5 showing the traces to be connected to enable writing to the TSOP. Source: https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1822 or https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20-tsop-flash-guide/&do=findComment&comment=70 The OP at the xbmc4xbox.org.uk link above states that the creator was davicoro of Xbox-Scene.
  4. I think I figured out what request?25 was The source code to KernelBasher. It required Site Membership to download the file. Without an account on their site, you'd not have the correct permissions to download the file. Source: http://web.archive.org/web/20041204013142/http://www.kernelbase.com/news.php Not sure why they restricted downloads as it's to be GPL'd source code.
  5. Do you know which version of X-Changer modchip you have? I believe there's a version 2 and 2.5.
  6. Any modchip holds at the minimum a modified BIOS that removes several of the security checks made by a stock BIOS. Some modchips have their own OS that boots to allow the user to flash a BIOS to it, format a new hard drive making it ready to have files installed to it, FTP files to and from the Xbox's hard drive, backup the configuration EEPROM, etc., etc. IIRC, the X-Changer requires its own Windows flashing software to write new BIOS(es) to the many banks it can boot from. Unlike other modchip, you cannot use the Xbox and Evoxdash or other LPC flashing programs to write a BIOS to it. I'll gather together a few links to the Wayback Machine's captures of information on the X-Changer chip and post them soon.
  7. However, I do not have a copy of 3DS Max 4, 5 or 6 and Deep Exploration to try using these templates.
  8. Okay, I've been looking for this holy grail of Xbox BIOS modding files too - XBOX TEXT.3ds from x-projects.org without any luck. The Wayback Machine did not seem to archive it. However, today I was looking at the Wayback Machine's saved content from www.kernelbase.com and xfiles.kernelbase.com and happened to click on one of the links on the pages captured and low and behold some files downloaded that I'd not been able to locate there before. Wayback Machine downloads of captured content from www.kernelbase.com ================================================================================ http://www.kernelbase.com/request.php?N N = File to download 3DS Templates ================================================================================ 7 - 3ds4_template.zip -> 3DS Max 4 Template 8 - 3ds5_template.zip -> 3DS Max 5 Template 9 - 3ds6_template.zip -> 3DS Max 6 Template Video Tutorial ================================================================================ 10 - createx.zip -> How-to Create .X Files Video Tutorial Hex Workshop Templates ================================================================================ 11 - x2_4979_full.hbk 12 - x2_4981_full.hbk 13 - x2_4983_full.hbk 14 - m7_full.hbk Other ================================================================================ 15 - hex2txt.zip -> Hex 2 Text BIOS Editors ================================================================================ 16 - indbios_config_app_v0.4.25.rar 17 - kernelbasherv1.1.0.zip 18 - scene_tool.zip -> Scene Tool - BETA 0.01 DirectX Files (Download Listing shows 6; however, only 5 when entering section) ================================================================================ 19 - flame.zip -> Flame 20 - halo.zip -> Halo Text 21 - apv.zip -> Anti PoP Video 22 - atari.zip -> Atari 23 - autobots.zip -> Auto Bots Page [2] Entry --- Oh, here's the sixth file 24 - PIMP.zip --> not saved by WBM, it was on a second page. I created and attached one large archive file with all of the files that I was able to download: Wayback Machine Downloads from www.kernelbase.com.rar Note: The 3DS Template in the template archives is not named XBOX TEXT.3DS each version's file is a bit differently named but all end in dot max, not dot 3ds. The version 6 template file is named XBOXTEXT.max.
  9. Right, your Filename column is not wide enough to show the complete name. Widen it like you do in other Windows applications.
  10. Yeah, that's an FTP server bug showing itself when using Filezilla and UnleashX 0.39.0528A Build 584. If you revert back to a prior release of UnleashX - v0.39.0222A Build 572 the problem will go away or if you use @Rocky5's hex patched Build584. All you have to replace is the default.xbe file. However, to do so, you need to run a different replacement dashboard so you can overwrite UnleashX's default.xbe file safely.
  11. Use the built-in Downloader doesn't it have them available as well.
  12. There are several popular dashboards: UnleashX v0.39.0528A Build 584 XBMC4Xbox v3.5.3 And, two newer entries built upon XBMC4Xbox developed by @Rocky5: XBMC4Gamers XBMC-Emustation
  13. Create a Site Manager entry for your Xbox FTP settings. Set the maximum number of simultaneous connections to 1.
  14. It could be a symptom named "Xbox Coma Console". This FRAGing occurs when the 1MB TSOP flash memory chip holding the stock BIOS has corruption in one of the 256KB banks. The now defunct web site llamma.com has a tutorial for repair if it is a flash memory chip problem. Look at their post captured by the Wayback Machine titled: Coma Console Fix found
  15. xbox-scene.com's web page to pull up the exact installation tutorial for an X2.3lite used PHP to show the proper web page for many different X2.x Lite or Pro modchips and Xbox versions they were installed in. The Wayback Machine, as far as I've looked, doesn't seem to have all the specific web pages saved for all the various selections that could be made.
  16. Don't find installation instructions on that exact version. It seems to have had a short lifetime as the Wayback Machine's captured pages are for installation of the X2.3B Lite. Nothing easily found from the time teamxecuter's website went from Tutorials Coming Soon (12/31/2003) until X2.3B Lite Wire or Pin header installs (02/14/2004) or LitePlus tutorials were saved. There's a couple month gap where the Wayback Machine was not capturing new content of the teamxecuter.com website.
  17. Xecuter 2.3 Lite More pictures can be found of it here (Scroll down till you see the version you have).
  18. What's the IP address of your PC? It has to be on the same subnet as the Xbox for FTP to work. For example, 192.168.0.xxx (xxx: 1 to 254) for your PC with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 is not. The first 3 dotted decimal values have to match. One possible solution - change the replacement dashboard's network settings to use DHCP instead of a static IP address.
  19. Welcome to OGXbox.com. Mod it or lose it, KaosEngineer
  20. The Xbox 360 looking blades-style skin for older versions of XBMC is MC360. For newer XBMC4Xbox releases, take a look at JX720. I posted a file with my Top 10 UnleashX skin picks. Although there are hundreds if not 1000's I've not looked at or found a copy of to try. All the old Xbox skin web sites are offline.
  21. Do you still have that console and all the skins you made for UnleashX?
  22. Verify that both softmodding saves are present on the hard drive? One for the Game you are using and the second the softmod installer itself.
  23. How big is the original dot iso file. There are two formats out there on the Internet for the ogXbox: Redump-style archival dual-layer DVD disc images - requires XDVDMulleter to extract the XDVDFS portion of them to run on the Xbox. XISO disc images created from the file set of the game using Qwix, C-Xbox Tool or other XISO creation tool. The files/folders you see in a directory listing of the Xbox's D drive when a DVD is loaded into the tray. The confuse comes from the fact that both use dot iso (.iso) as their filename extension.
  24. Is the AV cable a component high-definition or standard definition cable? A high-definition (component) cable has 5 RCA jacks: 3 for Red, Green, and Blue component video output and 2 - Red and White for analog stereo audio out. A Standard definition cable has 3 RCA jacks: 1 - Yellow for composite video out and 2 - Red and White for analog stereo audio out.
  25. Yes you can use Qwix v1.0.1 or C-Xboxtool v2.0.7 to FTP the files to your Xbox directly from an XISO format dot iso file. Or, you can extract the file set to your PC's hard drive then upload all the files to a unique subfolder under one of the directories scanned by your replacement dashboard to add games it finds to the Games menu.
