  1. Flash only 256k bios on this chip. It may look ugly, but it works. The most important thing. To use all 5TB of HDD, you must format it with fatxplorer, otherwise only 2TB will be usable.
  2. CCI should be made only from full disk dump: DVD5 or DVD9. Is the reason why CCI is better, it retains original dvd5 or dvd9 formatting.
  3. Psychonauts should run fine, if any fix needed? You tested? Some games are hardcoded to be PAL or NTSC only, good example is HALO series, pal game engine is tailored to compensate 25fps. Other games differ just by how video files are encoded 25fps or 30fps, will not show videos and similar, the gameengine itself works identical both pal and ntsc. some few pal games that i tested to work fine in 480p mode: FIFA series, demo movies are differnet tailored to European market and splash screen is not soccer, but football. 007 nightfire, game will not show movies if you run pal game in 480p, fixes simply inject 30fps files to game folder. Desert storm 2, has also video files coded to specific region, but pal movies run fine in 480p.
  4. You may connect all 3 wires at the same time, maybe other colors do something. I may test 50i with only 1 wire on TV, to see if anything changes from jailbar perspective.
  5. check if it outputs have correct clocks, etc. funny how less advanced console had better pal/ntsc output. Less is more. And if you read more, xbox is a nightmare story, how it process ntsc/pal signals, simply makes from bad to worse. https://www.avforums.com/threads/xbox-flicker-filter-and-why-the-picture-is-soft-from-rgb-scart.196390/
  6. My pal console does the same with component cable when using interlaced PAL signal, it's universal thing for consoles with conexant chip. Everything fixes when using 480p mode. I don't have means to test with composite, i may test with original scart cable, but not sure where i put it. :\ Focus and xcalibur chips dont have this problem. Original xbox really had crappy video output compared to less complex, but reliable ps2 video output. Microsoft really failed at this.
  7. It's not dead. Just pic chip doesn't go low anymore. It means, you have to check voltage on the pick chip input pins. also, mesure voltage before resistorstor to check if you have VCC. And if you want to solder wire, solder for power - pink pink, and for eject is - cyan poin. Otherwise input will be float.
  8. For XBMC, you simply create Emulators folder in E: partition. Mostly it has default source path preconfigured. XBMC (dahsboard folder)/userdata/sources.xml path for emulators may look like this: <source> <name>Emulators</name> <path pathversion="1">E:\Emulators\</path> <path pathversion="1">F:\Emulators\</path> <path pathversion="1">G:\Emulators\</path> </source> In my case, all possible paritions were preconfigured, only emulators folder is required to be present in specified partition. Every dashboard uses different configs, so it's not universal, you may need to add path manually. So you make a Emulators folder, and for each dashboard you create path for that folder.
  9. How much resistance does it have? You tested voltage from both sides of the resistor?
  10. Could be bad resistor or capacitor.
  11. https://web.archive.org/web/20190221151211/http://diy.sickmods.net/Tutorials/Xbox1/Power-Eject_Pinouts/ could be bad resistor, i had one in 1.6. After replacing resistor, xbox wont turn on after plugged in. And for continuity, test from power button resistors to PIC chip. Because PIC chip doesn't detect voltage, so it thinks power button is pressed.
  12. those cheap works pretty well. but requires 80pin cable.
  13. You may be interested in this: to connect ps1 controller you will need to buy ps1\ps2 to ps3 type adapter. And to connect brook adapter, you will also need to buy usb to XBOX adapter. ps1 to usb adapter>brooks adapter>usb to xbox adapter.
  14. Because with XISO i get two times longer soft reset, compared to soft reboot with no xiso "mounted". :\
  15. Do i need to dismount CCI after every launch? How much of a time penalty for soft reboot with mounted games?
  16. You have 80pin data cable? Link for this adapter?
  17. You don't even need to do anything in the first place. Never meant to be replaced, it's not thermal paste. It's ok for CPU if you break the bond.
  18. Is not as bad as PC, but still has many bugs shared with pc version. https://gamemodding.com/en/gta-san-andreas/maps/90598-pre-lighting-fixes-pack.html fixes lighting bugs. Better PS2 Models: exterior uses - gta3.img, interior - gta.int.img. Rest files are for gta3.img, found in models folder. https://gamemodding.com/en/gta-san-andreas/graphic/84673-map-textures-fix-v34.html fixes textures, transparencies, etc. https://libertycity.net/files/gta-san-andreas/158446-gta-sa-cutscenes-fix.html fixes cutscenes. GTA San Andreas\anim\cuts.img https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=17269 img editor to inject fixed files.
  19. 3.7, huge leap from 3.5.3. Can't wait.
  20. Probably was plugged in the wrong way, this is what i did, and actel chip got REKT. My chip heats up as well. Possible solution would be to replace actel chip, since you have working one. I bet there is a way to dump data from working chip if needed, not sure.
  21. https://github.com/antonic901/xbmc4xbox-weather Try it!
  22. When XISO is attached, soft reboot time is significantly longer - 2 times longer, about 14 seconds. Yes, i double tested it, its about 2 seconds penalty, not a big deal, but with xiso attached is evident. If you mean autorun media, yes i tried to uncheck it, but i did not notice any improvement. Since xiso is always attached, unless detach .xbe is run.
  23. You may need to enabled G drive in the dashboard. Also current bios version you using may be patched to see only F drive. Also, games can't show up if you don't have a correct path in dashboard. Does file manager recognizes both partitions?
  24. Whats wrong with the drive? Tried to clean it? Of course FTP those games.
  25. found a solution, replaced window command with this below: <onclick>XBMC.RunXBE(E:\Apps\detach\default.xbe)</onclick> But XISO are not that dandy as i thought. Slower reset speed, require to reset again when using detach.xbe to detach XISO file. Using this method for all games IMO is not that optimal. Maybe use only with those games with long file names.
