  1. Did you read the "COMPILATION README.txt" that was included in that archive?
  2. I just use a StarTech 18" 80-wire with a StarTech IDE to SATA adapter.
  3. 256 Mb IND-BIOS 5004.67 (Typo!)
  4. I'm still stuck in the past. For some reason, I just love to hardmod. Maybe I just don't know enough about the softmod scene to trust that method.
  5. For those wondering what I did next, once the modchip was working, I placed the HeXEn 2019 DVD in and UnleashX took over for the HDD prep. I immediately re-flashed the chip with a 256 Mb IND-BIOS 5004.76 (through EvolutionX dashboard), ran XBpartitioner 1.3 (about 3 million times in a row until it fully worked on my 2 Tb WD Blue 5400 RPM HDD), rebooted and then used FTP to set everything else up.
  6. So, I just installed an Aladdin XT Plus2 in a rev 1.0 and rev 1.1 Xbox yesterday. Instant FRAG on both consoles. I thought to myself, "what kind of garbage did I just buy?" and "how could it be that I am so very lucky to have performed so many mods with various Xecuter chips and now I have a problem?" My instant reaction was to Google about this chip and, low and behold, I discovered that so many people have experienced the same problem. Lots of logical solutions were provided like "re-flow the soldering points", "hot swapping the chips", "maybe you've got a bad chip", etc. After re-flowing the solder points and having no luck I decided to remove the D0 wire from the chip side and solder it directly to a ground on the motherboard. Bammo! Instant success. I don't know what it is with this chip but soldering D0 directly to ground was the way that it worked for me.
  7. To be honest, I don't think I could do any more mods unless I use at least six relays for it. This one has only five. LOL! I have stock for this so I will definitely be trying something once my OGX360 arrives. Thank you so much, @Anarchy42085. I know you love doing up these drawings and I can see that you put your heart into it. I think we are in an exciting time again with the OG Xbox. (BTW, I just ordered a bunch of RAM so I'm going to be doing that upgrade shortly too.)
  8. That looks great, @Anarchy42085. What about a DPDT to also power off the OGX360 at the same time?
  9. Or forego the option of using the new USB port with a relay and just add a switch (one side for front controller ports and the other for powering up the OGX360, which then disables the four controller ports).
  10. I'm thinking about doing an internal mod with an additional panel-mounted USB port added to the Xbox with a relay. If the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver is plugged into this USB port then all four front panel controller ports are disabled and the OGX360 takes over. @Anarchy42085 @Ryzee119 Your thoughts?
  11. Looks like people have had a hard time using Windows to program the chip. Here's a great resource:
  12. Looks like a very interesting board. Did you Xbox come with the external board? Do you see DIP switches anywhere? Lots of room for experimentation on that board. https://www.reddit.com/r/originalxbox/wiki/modchips/xbit I'd try to flash it with the HeXEn disc or with EvolutionX dash (using IND-BIOS 5004.67). But, move right into cleaning the Xbox, removing the clock cap, replacing the thermal paste.
  13. I put a glob of hot glue in one corner for this very reason.
  14. There are lots of features/files that you can download right from in the XBMC4Gamers dashboard and the artwork download alone is huge. Definitely install the dashboard onto the F (or G). (Though I do use F for the main dashboard, I also add a small dash (i.e. UnleashX) onto my C for redundancy.)
  15. Do you have any instructional material for this mod? I'm interested in attempting it. Thank you. (Maybe create a new thread about it so that this one stays cleaner for Ryzee119's topic.)
  16. Your code is very easy to read, @Ryzee119. I like how you have added the #ifdef inside the switch statements too. I have never see that done before, probably because I never needed to worry about writing efficient code. LOL.
  17. @Ryzee119, not only are you as smart as f*ck, you are a team player. Thank you very much for your contribution to the OG Xbox legacy.
  18. @Ryzee119 Is your source code for the Arduino open source? If not, would you consider it? Thank you.
  19. In the video, it says that someone did an internal mod of this. Does anyone have any info on that?
  20. Everything seems to work everywhere except the back button on the remote doesn't work on the Synopsis screen. If I knew what XBMC calls the Synopsis screen internally then maybe I could include the back button keymapping under that section in the remote.xml as in this example for the context menu where the mapping of the "title" button is changed to go "back": <ContextMenu> <remote> <title>Back</title> </remote> </ContextMenu>
  21. Has anyone tried to get the XBox Remote working with XBMC4Gamers?
