  1. The delay and the flicker may be two separate things. The delay could be caused by the BIOS selected. It could be caused by the IDE to SATA adapter (if you have one installed). If could be a problem with the HDD and/or how the HDD was setup (in XBpartitioner 1.3). This flicker could be challenging to fix. So, the official composite cables work fine and it is only a component issue... With the same cables/setup, your other Xbox works perfectly. So, there is definitely something "unique" happening in this problematic Xbox. Try cleaning the grounding pads underneath the motherboard and the shielding beneath the motherboard where it makes contact. There are more things to explore but we'll need more info from you. What BIOS did you use? What HDD and IDE to SATA adapter (if any)? What exactly are the Xbox versions? Does the problem persist after the dash has loaded? What version of the dash are you using? Have you tried other dashboards? Are you forcing 480 and 720p in the dashboard? Are you using an 80-wire 40-pin IDE cable?
  2. No. Move the focus to another partition again.
  3. You can still go there to check - it won't make any changes.
  4. After you did all that, what does XBpartitioner say? If it says "ER" then you still have a problem.
  5. Sounds like it is preventing it from happening for a very valid reason...
  6. OK... Now we can see the problem. Go back up to that row. Cycle A button until it reads the same details for that partition. Press Start button. Once complete, press White button until it says just Format at the top. Press Start button. Press White button until it says just Write Table. Press Start button. Then, press Back button to exit. Reboot. Go back into XBpartitioner 1.3 and keep doing this until it no longer says ER.
  7. I did a guide to show the method that I used. It builds on the hard work that @N64 freak started. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1I7o4DrZ-teWgESYZbgaM_PwoXsAhv1Z0?usp=sharing
  8. Sounds like there is a market again for it. I'm sure there will be a future 3D printed one, especially once @Ryzee119 creates an interface for use with an LCD but without a modchip.
  9. Just did this mod on a rev 1.4 today. Wonderful addition!
  10. @N64 freak, you included a capacitor for the rev 1.0-1.1 boards. Where does that go?
  11. My fear is that once I "pass away" no one will understand how valuable my Xboxes are.
  12. Welcome to the site! I'm curious as to why you would like to keep one stock? Is it a limited edition?
  13. Welcome! I just did my first TSOP yesterday. Very easy and there are some good videos on YouTube and of course, some really experienced and helpful people here.
  14. Welcome! Glad to have you here with us.
  15. Thank you: @KaosEngineer, @sidocious and @Ging3rguy. You're combined efforts and assistance pushed me into this current era and I am no longer a TSOP-ing virgin. One of the reasons why I decided to move forward with flashing the TSOP is because every once in a while, with the Aladdin XT Plus2, my Xbox had no video output. It was frustrating. (I never ever had a problem with an X3 chip! They are so amazing!) I looked up the process for building an EEPROM reader and I ordered some components. Well, I couldn't wait for the boat to arrive with those supplies so I moved in a different direction. I found another old PATA HDD and I used it in the process which led to flashing the TSOP. (As you know, I had gotten rid of all the old stock HDDs because I wanted to use a modchip with them.) With the Aladdin modchip installed, I put the Hexen 2019 DVD-R into the drive and rebooted. Right off the bat, UnleashX started up and I went through the quick process of setting up the HDD. Once complete, I locked the HDD, installed a softmod (from the menu option), turned off the Xbox and then disconnected the Aladden fully. Upon reboot, the softmod magically started and the dashboard booted as expected. (I did that last step just to ensure that everything was fine to this point.) After disconnecting the motherboard from the case, I soldered a bridge between two pads. With the Hexen 2019 disc in, I booted and went to the TSOP option to write a 256kb 5004.67 BIOS to the TSOP (as it is a beautiful rev 1.4 board). Once the Xbox turned off, I booted the Xbox without the disc. The ind-bios splash screen appeared and then the dashboard loaded. Success! (I then unlocked the HDD in ConfigMagic.) Now, I will move on to all the other motherboards that are not using an X3 modchip and TSOP flash them with this same procedure. Thank you again, everyone.
  16. Move the focus off of the partition 6 (F) line and take another photo please. The v16 might have something to do with rev 1.6 compatibility.
  17. Can you take a photo of XBpartitioner 1.3 immediately after you launch the app? Ensure that the focus is moved off the F drive so that we can fully see the what the F partition is indicating.
  18. This is what you wanted though, right? So, when you set it to that, write the table and then reboot, what is the outcome now?
  19. You didn't say anything about the cable but you want some of the original cable still attached? I'm confused.
  20. I don't know if this is a good idea unless you are using a very high quality shielded cable in your mod (which would kind of be a huge waste, like converting a Lamborghini into an ATV). Normally people are doing this mod with a cheap unshielded cable or an OEM MS cable with just the three connections (yellow, red, white). If you are not using a high quality shielded cable then the mod may not produce the best results.
  21. It's possible to cut an opening in the case for the Xbox connection. (This is not my photo. I found it floating on the net.)
