  1. You need to repair that trace 1st. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  2. I would think there is a 137gb on the current bios files The Xbit chip is a 2mb chip And you need to compile a 2mb bios file that is flashed to the chip via the software. You can have different bios files or make them all the same it's up to you. This should give you the idea. If it's fitted in a 1.6 then you really only have two options the 1.6 version of the EvoxM8 or the 1.6 version of the X2 5035.67 If the board is below a 1.6 then you can have any bios. Here is the program you will need https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qEoovoubMnAuQH39y1hXP-W3xFvGa1-S/view?usp=sharing When you are using the program you select from one of the 6 options then add the bios files to the banks then you Erase the chip before you can Write the new file to it. 3. In my view the only 2 pluses for the X3 chip are the bios selection is via switches ( the Xenium is menu controlled) and the LCD is driven direct from the mod chip(The Xenium needs a interface board) Other than that the Xenium/Open Xenium with the X2 5035.67 bios and the correct config file on the hard drive is just as good. You just have to use the Torrent from the same site. When I downloaded it 3 years ago it took a bit over a month. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  7. You probably have cold/dry solder joint In all the wii2hdmi I always add extra ground link from the HDMI socket though the holes on the adaptor board to the main board ground as well. That wire is soldered to both adaptor board and the main board along with the HDMI shield. Can you post some pics of your work? 8. I think you will find that yes CoinOpps and the others will run better as will xbmc4gamers. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  9. No not really as Kaos has explained make a copy of the EEprom and save it some where. The worst is you can make a eeprom reader to extract the eeprom data or better yet is fit a mod chip. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  10. Probably not at the bios from when you installed the chip probably won't support a 2tb HDD. Is it Xbit 1.0 or a 1.5 modchip? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  11. Unlikely When you boot the Xbox are you seeing the Evox logo on the top left of the screen? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  12. Sound like either it's loading a 1.0-1.4 bios bank or it has some solder joints that have failed. Try using the other bank on the mod chip. Can you post some pics of the mod chip install? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  13. A disk like OXbox 2021 installer, HeXen 2021. It's a disk that contains everything that's need to make new hard drive on you Xbox. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  14. The process of nulling the HDD key is just making it all zeros or all ones and the HDD is still locked. The only reason to null the HDD key is to make the key known figure like all zeros. The HDD key on both drives is the same key as the seller would have cloned/copied the stock drive to the new drive, So if the seller gave you the original drive you can connect that and it will work. As long as you have a copy of the eeprom data saved on your PC or somewhere else besides the Xbox you can make a new hard drive. 15. Where you had the wire for D0 was correct. Did you cut this trace? or is it dirt? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  16. I think the world wide chip shortage has put hold on this project. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  17. The bottom left is a little bit suspect but put the Xbox drives back in and what happens will it boot from the HDD and will it cold boot (have the disk in the DVD drive and power off and on the Xbox) a install disk? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  18. It sound like the chip is working correctly. The orange led is when the write protection is turned off so you can update the bios if need be. If the D0 from the board was connected to the mod chip D0 point instead of been grounded then powering on with the eject button would cause it to load the original bios and that way you could use Xbox live without getting banned as the Xbox would appaired to be un-modded. I would give a test for day or two of normal power on off cycles, but it sounds like it's fixed. Edit: As you have the D0 linked direct to ground the chip is always active so that's fixed the original question. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  19. On closer inspection some (yellow squares) of the solder joints look suspect. I would resolder all the joints in the black box Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  20. That fine. If you add some fresh 60/40 solder and flux then you should be able to remove the leg and the use solder wick to remove the solder from the holes not that it's going to matter it's just for looks. The solder joints don't look up to scratch partially the ones in red. Add some flux then reheat each joint and it should flow better They look like a cold joint with insufficient wetting and the bottom left has too much solder. As for the traces they look good. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  21. It looks like the clock cap may still be there?? as I can see the legs of the cap (Red circle) Can you upload a close up of the yellow box and the solder work on the LPC port? Also can you test the BT on the mod chip and it should be around 3 volt until you press the power button and if you hold the power button it should be around 0 volt and stay at 3 volt if you power on with the Eject button. I would also resolder at least the spots marked as they look a bit suspect. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  22. What happens if you try and boot the Xbox with the HDD disconnect? does it go straight to a error screen? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  23. Can you post a hires pic of the bottom of the main board. I am thinking possible trace damage from the clock cap. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  24. The red marks look like they could be shorting and the orange looks like it's a dry/cold solder joint Try adding some more flux and reheat the joints and also remove approx 30% of the solder. I don't think it a capacitor problem and if it was the transistor problem it would not power on at all When you burned the DVD I hope you burnt it as slow as possible on a quality DVD-r disk ( I use Verbatim DVD-r). Have you tried the OGXbox 2021 v 1.5.4 installer disk? https://1fichier.com/dir/mX1kipIz It looks like you have cut the LFrame trace and that's what I do and when you have cut that trace you don't need the D0 wire connected to ground or the modchip. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
