  1. No but I do recommend you practice a couple of time with the power disconnected and I find it easier to have the Xbox on a slight tilt so you can see the LPC pins easier. This zip file has the Xenium tools and a 2meg flash.bin file that's a download from one of my Open Xeniums https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BpzYT4Dy4ZoZI8idvinyd40Voh3BO_ox/view?usp=share_link Once it's finished it should look like this if you power on with the Eject button and it's set to load the UDMA4 bios if you power on with the power button It has the OS 2.3.1 and the vertical lines ( stripes ) are because this pic was taken on a version 1.6 board Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  2. Capacitor C7G6 (22UF 25volt) is missing. Was it removed by mistake? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  3. I have cerbios 2.2.1 beta in use on 2 Version 1.6's one has a startech sata2ide using the UDMA5 and the other is a cheap sata2ide using the UDMA4 The one with the cheap sata2ide was using the EvoxM8 and I noticed a quicker boot with the cerbios. 4. I haven't had that happen but I think the easiest to try would be hot swap the mod chip Boot from any modchip then connect the open xenium and load the xeniumtools to re-flash the open xenium I can send a link to the backup of my open xenium to flash to your using xeniumtools if you need it. 5. I can't justify paying over a $100Aud a month for a 75Mb/s link and there is no guarantee I would get that speed 24/7 even $80 a month for a 50MB/s is bad enough but on the plus side it's unlimited data and I get 52MB/s 24/7. They are starting to roll out fibre to the premises but that's years away for my location Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  6. This would keep every one happy as not every one has unlimited data or fast download speed. I live in a 1st world country and we have 3rd world internet Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  7. Glad to help and thanks for letting us know you have got it sorted.. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  8. I have seen trace damage from a leaking clock capacitor damage the traces for the game ports. Can you post a picture on the bottom of the board. If you upload a high quality pic to a share site then add a link here. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  9. To format the SSD on your PC you don't need to FTP anything. Based on the age of the mod chip you will need to update the bios on the mod chip so you can get to use the full size of the new HDD as the old bios will have a 138gb limit but in order to flash the mod chip you need a working hard drive that boots to a dash board or a external eeprom reader/writer. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  10. It sounds like the 128gb drive is dead Is the 1tb drive setup as a Xbox drive or have you just fitted a new unformatted hard drive? Connect the new HDD/SSD to your PC and use Fatxplorer v 3.0 beta to format and install a dash. Here is a tutorial https://www.hazeno.com/og-xbox-hdd-upgrade And here is a link to the latest Fatxplorer https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/2023/03/11/fatxplorer-3-0-beta-25-major-usb-and-hdd-patch-update/ With the new HDD/SSD you will need to update the bios as it will only support a hard drive of about 140gb Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  11. Haven't had time to test it yet Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  12. Have a look here https://modchips.co.nz/xbox-modding-tools Or here https://modzvilleusa.com/products/xbox-xblast-aladdin-xt-plus-2-w-1mb-cpld-upgraded-chip-for-ogxbox Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  13. That transistor can fail for no apparent reason and I have had 1.6 supply's that if that transistor is not working the PSU shuts down completely. Check the 5 volt standby supply while you are connecting the mains to the Xbox, Have the Xbox unplugged for about 5 minutes and in that time connect your test leads to the standby power and ground then connect the mains. Also is the clock cap still in the board? you could try butting another cap across the clock cap as a test. 14. There is a small smd transistor need the clock cap that fails. This topic has been covered here https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7810-xbox-16-dead-no-power/ Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

  16. I don't think so.. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  17. If you look in the cerbios.ini there is this line. ; Boot Animation path (always falls back to \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\BootAnims\Xbox\bootanim.xbe) BootAnimPath = \Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\BootAnims\Xbox\BootAnim.xbe Partition 2 is C drive Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  18. I would start looking for another mother board and you can reuse the DVD drive, PSU and case, If you get another version 1.6 it will drop in. Unfortunately unless you have a backup of you eeprom data from the old MB re-using the hard drive is a bit more involved. If you have the eeprom data file you can unlock the hard drive using Fatxploer v3.0 beta and then relock with the eeprom file from the new mother board, The other option is to swap the eeprom from the old MB to the new MB. I think it's time to bite the bullet and start looking for another Mother Board Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  19. Sounds like a lack of caffeine caused the issue. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  20. I would say it's beyond economical repair 5 volt in too components that are normally supposed to run less than 2 volt is not good There is a really slim chance it's just that transistor that shorted and stopping the Xbox from working. A test would be to lift the leg with the yellow arrow and do a résistance test from ground to where the leg was. You should get reading that starts from around 30-50ohm and increases the longer you keep the meter connected. If that happens then you could try and replace that transistor, But in saying that I don't think you have the experience or soldering equipment to perform that sort of job. Was this Xbox modded? 21. Are the caps next to the heat sink the same direction as in the pic I posted? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  22. Is that reading after you have pressed the power button? and did you change the 3 caps next to the heat sink? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  23. Ok it's just I saw your reply just below mine. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  24. Can you test this part. The red arrow should be 5volt and the yellow should be 1.7volt Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
  25. I have a couple of these black PCB's it was made to fit directly to the back of the LCD display by Sean Youdis from FaceSook Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
