  1. Use the TSOP flashing tool. In the OP I explain how I use the tool to flash the latest version of Cerbios. Edit: You can use the "Xblast Only" version near the bottom which will make this MUCH simpler for you. Just run the exploit and it will immediately run XBlast. Then you can net flash Cerbios from your PC over the network. As for the latest version of Cerbios: That is the one we're all using these days.
  2. Okay. I have some Xerc2's, actually so I may do that.
  3. Speak of the Devil. Integrated Elpis HD and Xblast Aladdin/Jafar Support... as well as efficient HDD unlocking. I want to try buying some HDD lots and seeing if I can find any gold. Open-source is proving to be quite competitive for not making anybody any money. "Life... Will find a way..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PrometheOS, the trailblazing custom operating system for Xenium/OpenXenium and Aladdin Chips, has just unveiled its latest version, V1.2.0. This release heralds a significant expansion in compatibility and features, setting a new benchmark in the modding community's capabilities. What's New in V1.2.0: Expanded Modchip Support: Now includes support for XBlast Aladdin/Jaffar-based modchips, specifically targeting 1MB 49LF080(A) flash chips. 4. That's true! Yeah, the mappings would have to be specified, for sure, but would that would be very, very cool to try to implement! Just pop it in and use your favorite controller!
  5. Well what I'm referring to is PC USB adapters for genuine controllers: N64, Genesis, SNES, etc. Basically, picking a USB adapter for each type of controller in good supply and porting over driver support so that emulators can be used with their actual controllers. Obviously a solution would have to be found to do Xbox-Controllery things to navigate the menus to get the ROM to load (maybe using P2, 3 or 4 ports), but I've wanted to see that for a VERY long time... Using an Xbox controller to play Sonic works, but it's nothing like the real thing.
  6. See if this can help you. You can Jerry rig something to help you boot into the backup bios with this information, or, I can try to print up the gerber and help find parts to build you an adapter board. If I can find the parts I can build it in 5 minutes. Do you have any of the cables from that adapter board? If not, I would have to source them or have them made... Of course, you could always wire up some on/off switches and just rig something up to get into the backup bank long enough to recover your X3 bios.
  7. Just wanted to show off the newly printed X3 Bank Select Buttons without starting a new topic. They look much better than the resin I was using and I think they look better than the stock white buttons, honestly.
  8. Finally figured out supports with FDM.
  9. This could probably be used with well known, in-stock usb adapters to run emulators with their respective native controllers, yes?
  10. You can. With Cerbios and the dash set to update time and date through internet it should sync every time. Without a connection it will lose the date and time at every power-off. Only 1.6 versions cannot function without a clock cap.
  11. I see references to mouse use in XBMC, so it MUST be possible to use one, however, I have never gotten it to work.
  12. I DID see that this morning. My understanding is basic, but it uses an exploit in the dashboard that requires no games. It's been looked for since people have begun hacking the xbox. Even though its application is still experimental, I have no doubt that people like @Rocky5 and @sweetdarkdestinywill end up finding creative ways for people to use it to mod their consoles or maybe run the TSOP flasher. I have seen that using multiple assets cannot be done at present, but I have faith that it will become possible in time.
  13. The ES is so god damned clear, it looks like Native HDMI. It is SOLID. ZERO interference and just a perfect picture. You would never guess that it goes through an analog stage by looking at the output. The p0und is good for a 20 dollar adapter, if a little dark. However, it HAS declined in quality of output. The interference is getting worse, even with the USB power. They really do try to provide the best adapter they can on the cheap and the owners seem like cool guys, but it just has problems, unfortunately.
  14. I'm glad you're improving your skills! When it comes to TSOP flashing, I've had VERY mixed success with soldering the points and flashing. It seems to work about half the time for whatever reason. I started using the trace pen for that and it works EVERY TIME. I now use it to flash TSOPs.
  15. Exactly... This is basically a crystal xbox with a decal on it.
  16. I actually just printed a perfect case with resin. Let me try to print another one for you. It took a while for me to find a way to do it satisfactorily. Sure.
  17. Flash Cerbios and then make sure the HDD Cerbios files are present on C (like cerbios.ini). The cerbios.ini should have legacy mode enabled by default which allows you to boot with no DVD-ROM drive. Keep your stock DVD drive just unplugged (as long as you are not going to use it). Your Xbox should just load the dashboard and boot normally.
  18. Also, since you are not using the yellow cable at all, there is no way for the system to get any "Drive ready" signal after inserting a disc. In order for a disc to be read, you will have to insert it, restart, and then navigate to it or let it load automatically, depending on how your bios/dash is set up.
  19. Bump: I tried programming another freshly built chip and the programmer started to fail verification immediately. No count at all. Instant failure. I restarted the programmer and all of a sudden I started getting a verification count before verification would fail at 50-60%. There's no way these chips have faults 2 in a roy. My forst 3 were fine. Something is wrong with this programmer, I'm sure of it. @dtomcat
  20. So you could use it in place of XBlast on an XBlast Aladdin, for example? That would be AMAZING...
  21. No damage. 1.0 boards have the LPC vias filled in when stock. They either need to be evacuated with a desoldering gun, or drained with desoldering braid and a shitload of flux... any other means would require forcing the pins through when melting the solder, and I don't recommend that. However, to your original point, no, this is absolutely normal. Don't stress.
  22. What I have always wanted for years, is a DVD to Divx encoder, or maybe a format less CPU/RAM intensive. I'm actually surprised that this has not been done in all these years. If I could code instead of post bullcrap all the time I would have done so. It's something I very much want, rather than having to convert with a PC application and then move the encoded file over. I mean, I know how to use the main .IFO file, just like the OP, but it would be cool to see Not everybody knows how to navigate raw DVD video disc contents. I dunno if it's that Rocky doesn't WANT to, but rather he was focused on what was in demand. XBMC4Gamers is what the demand turned out. I will say that "Media Center" is a bit of a misnomer, but it is obviously based on XBMC original, is all. I do however concur that it would be cool to focus on the media center aspects of XBMC, as I think they have been largely abandoned. Maybe developers felt like they accomplished all there was to accomplish with the media that could be supported by the console/platform?
  23. I agree. This looks unique, rather than simulating an XCM case. Not saying you shouldn't, but that's my two cents. It looks like something MS did. I think It's pretty rad! Very nice work. @GaminGuys
