Pal games running at 480p

HI guys

Just a question regarding pal games, I have a modded Xbox set to ntsc to run 480p and higher.

My question is Pal games, is the 480p feature completely removed from the games? Or will it run at 480p in my modded ntsc console?

The vast majority of PAL games will run at 480p in NTSC. I know a couple that don't but it is possible to patch games that won't work provided you're running them off the HDD of course.

Another thing to note is a small handful of PAL games wont display picture when in NTSC mode. I've only found two so far that behave this way (Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and Timesplitters 2) but i'm sure there are a few more out there.

I've about 60 Xbox PAL games installed on my primary Xbox and apart from Timesplitters 2 they all support NTSC/480p etc. I subbed in an 'acquired' NTSC "default.xbe" for use with PAL TS2 and that works fine in 480p. 

I am still peeved that PAL Xbox users have to resort to modding and patching simply because MS effectively decided to or at least tried to prevent us accessing the ED/HD options most PAL games do actually include and the console was perfectly capable of displaying.
