Hi everyone!

I have a 1.4 with trace issues, upon plugging in the power it starts automatically and when it's off, will occasionally boot at random.

I managed to repair one trace as a preventative but not the 3 needed to ensure it's not an issue anymore, I found them too hard to work on

I did the equivalent of the white wire and blue, is there another place to solder the other green/purple equivalent connections? It would be on the other side of the board I assume.

If you can solder to the little surface mounted resistors then you can do the holes, If you have the thin kynar wire then the holes arent too bad as you can use the hole for a guide, scratch the surface of the hole a little with a sharp blade and flux the wire and hole, then with the wire poking in the hole put a small amount of solder on the iron and it should flow when you touch the connection.  im not the best at soldering myself but thats how i do these little holes and it works for me (i also invested in a cheap pair of 1.5 reading glasses!).  you can practice on any old circuit board that has those holes.

It has literally been over 10 years since I've played it. One of the bootup screens says "Xecutor2" at the bottom, so that tells me that much at least.
My main question is the three (3) dip switches on the front of the console. Someone else installed it for me, and I forget what each of them does.
I think that the left-most one controls whether or not the modchip is active; you wanted to toggle that one off if you ever went onto XBox Live, I think.
      Can anyone help?

A friend gave this modded Xbox but didn't know much about it.  I've had soft modded ones. but don't know much about the hard ones myself either.
It has a larger hard drive.  When you turn it on it gives the 09 error and ring flashes red and yellow.  Someone told me that button should be held on the controller when you turn on the Xbox but isn't sure which ones.  Would that cause the 09 error?
      Thanks for any help.

In the Build v1.1.8\Extras Disc\Documents folder their is a txt file that says:
You can run the "Xbox Softmodding Tool Extras Disc.iso" from the Xbox HDD.
What happens if I run the virtual image and wish to restore xbox to factory using that image.  Will it corrupt the drive as the image is being read off the same drive?  Or being a virtual image it is stored in a temporary location and once the xbox is restored it is deleted and won't interfere when restoring.
