Help me identify this Modchip

Can someone help me identify this Modchip, and what is that "chip"  betwen the wiring. The box is a v1.1

That's a new one, seeing it hooked up to that capacitor like that.

What modchip it is, is literally written oon the PCB. See pic 1 : LPC Mod v2.0. It belongs to the family of cheap mods.

You have any idea what this whole capacitor getup is? Also the wire hooked up to the resistor... They're both hooked up to this unknown device in the middle of the wire. This some kind of fucked up D0?

Presumably to activate and deactivate the chip with the power button. Previously because of Xbox Live back then.

If thats the case can i remove it and make the modchip permanent? Because sometimes my Xbox isn't booting up it gives me a hdd error code. (maybe because i somehow turn of the modchip, and my hdd isn't locked)

Remove the red wire from the modchip. Then remove the rest and put it aside or in the bin. 

Then take a look at the pic below. Solder a SMALL wire to the D0 point on the bottom and solder the other end to GND. The chip is then always on. 

About your HDD. if your HDD error is a " HDD timeout" it's probably on the way to pass out.

I would go even further, remove the chip and flash the TSOP. After all, it's a 1.0 Xbox. You can put the chip aside. if a 1.6 is added.

@HyPeRcOoLeR Or keep it, put a switch in the D0 loop to enable and disable, and put an alternative bios on the TSOP. Then you have 2 banks!
