Faulty Philips DVD drive.

I'm trying to check my Philips drive for faults. Confirmed that it's the drive itself as this problem occurs across 4 other XBOX's with the same

symptoms. Drive refuses to eject and stops the XBOX's from booting.

I'd like to test for blown fuses first....can anyone tell me where they are on the PCB?

It stops the Xbox from booting? Does the tray even attempt to open?

Failed caps on the DVD PCP and the resistor banks can also have open circuit resistors.

I have also noticed with cerbios UDMA5 and a Philips DVD it boots to safe mode.

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

DVD-ROM drives seem to mess with bus speeds like crazy...
