UltimateMe
Someone gave me an Xbox with an Xecuter2 modchip and the Avalaunch dashboard. It uses Px HD Loader for playing games. I searched around and couldn`t find how to get my iso's / xiso's working (converted) for use with Px HD Loader. The DVD drive isn`t working and the only option in the dashboard seems to be loading / converting from CD / DVD. The Xbox contains and 200GB IDE drive, so I can`t hook it up to my PC, wipe the stuff with Fatxplorer and start over. Any suggestions how to convert? Then I can upload my xiso's through FTP and then convert them on the Xbox.

Qwix 1.01 or C-Xbox Tool 2.0.6 can extract the content from XISO-format disc images and upload them to the Xbox. Qwix can do on-the-fly extraction and upload the content via an FTP connection without storing the extracted files on your PC. They go directly to your Xbox. You don't have to use PX HD Loader to play the games. Create a Games folder on the E, F and/or G drives and upload the game's content to a game named subfolder. Reboot after installing/uploading a new game. Avalaunch should add them to the Games menu.

Same here There's also the option of using a BIOS patcher to add mounting XISO disc images or one that supports mounting XISO disc images (Cerbios) to play the game stored in the file. Edit: XBMC4Gamers includes the XISO to HDD Installer script which moves the dot iso file from the Games folder into a game-named subfolder and creates a default.xbe file (attach app) needed to play the XISO-format disc image game. Which modified Xbox BIOS are you using? Some BIOSes can be patched to add the support using the hardmod version of Rocky5's Dashloader application or the CDROM Modchip replacement dashboard chain-loader application. Smellord
I've gained some knowledge since then and i moved to cerbios. Currently i had to unpack games and load them in the hard drive via FTP, i was frustrated at how complicated this is, compared to a ps2 for instance, that SMB-loads ISO files without even a modchip. I was too spoiled maybe... I use XISO loading only when ftp transfer fails because of too long path, so i had to create a xbe file and then split the iso. I gave up on direct iso launching because of the size disadvantage, extracted games are very convenient in terms of size compared to XISO files, especially splitted ones. We are talking 7~ GB vs sometimes from 1 up to 4,5~GB for the big games. This is hard to understate. FTP-Transfer speed is still very annoying but once you've copied the games once it's done so i guess it's an OK compromise. I am currently looking into a solution to emulate the DVD drive with a RasPi, that would solve basically every problem the xbox has, i just have to make it work first... FTP-Transfer speed is still very annoying Repackinator trims and splits redump style iso's, while creating the attach xbe in the process. Heres the official list of games and sizes, hash, etc. Most are only a few GB. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/e/2PACX-1vSewa5ynfmFC6Dg9FeF9nBF511dGgHc6VwtmR5AH3yyba-bqXO2OAvR-_xxPSLk84xCiM8LxntTYzHX/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true If not using Cerbios or want to stay as XISO, heres that list. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vTsVPLdUJvc0R8oYXbx5xVSEBHW98VH2xM5XkvODvC01Sbcj9b3I2laWD3ZxN-Yklm4qJR2jF4nXuiu/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true I only use the Extracted format for games that have issues with Cerbios, which are listed on the first link. Thousands of files for a single game is just not worth it, when XISO/CCI's can be split to circumvent the FatX file system limitations. I get about 180MB/s in FatXplorer using CCI/XISO, but drops to near zero on the extracted ones.
