  1. Hello everyone, for the past week i've been thinking on changing XBMC4Gamers to the UnleashX dashboard. Can I just upgrade it with the rocky5 softmod disk and will it remove XBMC4Gamers automatically or do I have to do it? And is there something I have to keep an eye on while changing it??
  2. Ok so I recently soft modded my Xbox with the latest Rocky5 build and installed chimp via the extras disc. I then hooked up my 1tb lockable sata hard drive with a star tech ide adapter and also a 80 pin cable. This was set to slave with the og hardrive set to master. Everything seemed to be ok whilst rubbing chimp. The process took around an hour and half with speeds of around 3MiB’s per second to transfer the 5gb of content stored on the Xbox. I then fully installed my 1tb whilst set to master but I got error 7/6 on boot. I tried to re do the process but now when I launch chimp it states that my slave drive is locked and I can’t unlock it even though I’ve tried all of the unlock options. I’ve also tried 2 other compatible drives but as soon as I launch chimp it states that they are locked even though they wasn’t before. Even when I try them back in my pc they are now password locked at the bios screen and can not be unlocked. For these drives I haven’t even ran any processes within chimp for it to lock them in the first place. Anyone have any ideas?
  3. Repaired a v.1.6 modchip installation that used DUOX2 - likely flashed with the wrong data and the other bank didn't work for the 1.6 either (did on a 1.0 - which was the way it was fixed). Is it possible to add a larger hardrive to store the games I have (from discs to the HDD) - and still be able to use the original (starting without chip) function - if needed. I have the impression you can't just swap HDD:s and be done with it.
  4. I have an old Xbox that has an Xecuter 2 chip installed, it still has the stock HDD so i'd like to upgrade it to a 500GB SATA. Weirdly I cannot physically see any chip soldered to the board, I can see some yellow wires going out the front of the console so i'm not sure if this is where the chip is located? (see pic). In any case I have downloaded the HeXen 2018 installation disc, and I have the necessary parts required to convert from IDE to SATA. Is this disc capable of setting up a HDD with this chip? I took a couple of pics showing my kernel and the fact my current HDD is locked:
  5. I am attempting to upgrade my HDD on my hard modded 1.0 but my system won't load truhexen from the DVD. It worked on the original drive so I believe I burned everything well enough but I keep getting error code 13 on the new drive. The cable has been replaced with an 80 pin. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
  6. Trying to upgrade my HDD to 1TB on a 1.4 soft modded Xbox. The 1TB drive is 2.5" when I clone the drive with chimp should I plug in the molex splitter to power the adapter or can I simply just use he adapter without a y molex splitter. Just tried to clone with chimp without the y molex splitter and said couldn't lock the hdd
  7. I know some upgrades can make games near unplayable by making them run at absurd speeds, but is there a hardware upgrade thats just all round good?
  8. Guys, I need to know if you can transfer saves with no issues after you upgrade your HDD, is this possible? I want to upgrade my HDD using Chimp (but I have to wait for my Sata to IDE adaptor to arrive). I have access to FTP the files over ethernet, so that is no problem for me, but, would the saves work on the new HDD?? My eeprom.bin has been nulled already by following Mr. Marios tutorial on Youtube by the way. Please let me know what you guys know please! Thank you all!
  9. Hello, ive just done HDD upgrade using this tutorial and xbox only see 120gb out of 500gb from my new hdd, what is wrong? funny enough HeXEn shows me the proper status of 450gb+ free space on F drive, the same with Xpartitioner (but only when im using this app from HeXEn disc). When im entering Xpartitioner on dashboard then i got Warning ... "!!!! WARNING !!!!! LB448 info not found! Custom Partitions will not work with this BIOS! Update your BIOS to one which supports at least LBA48 version 2. Press Y to continue or any other button to abort." There you have system info ...
  10. I've got a 1.6 that is already softmodded and hdd upgraded using JCRocky5s softmod and Chimp. I've got an Aladdin XT on the way and I want to upgrade as painlessly as possible. I'd like to keep my F&G partitions and my Dash/Saves/DLC. Can I just flash the bios and manually delete the softmod files or do I have to back stuff up, install and then reload the backups? Thanks.
