Just decided i should get on the forums since i am gathering the required materials to tsop a 1.0 og xbox. i have posted on the facebook page a couple of times. i am an old school gamer that got started with system modding back in about 04 unfortunately not on anything xbox related. Been seeing a lot of xbox related mod stuff lately and i am going to be getting into it as a hobby or for personal interests.

I figured that I would introduce myself here! Recently picked up a Halo Edition xbox and got the modding bug again. Back in the day, I was really into creating new maps for the original Halo to play with others on XBconnect (RIP). I'm looking forward to getting back into all of it and being a new member to the forum! HiddenSSID

Not sure if anyone has had trouble finding xboxes for sale but check out Goodwill auctions online and there a ton of xboxes listed.

As usual, they gouge you if you try to buy a rubber belt for the original Xbox if they actually call it a belt for the original Xbox. But I heard you could use 23mm or so rubber O rings from the plumber's section of a store. Since I loathe the idea of spending $3.00+ for 1 "official" OGXbox drive belt, what are the exact size measurements (or close to) for the actual OGXbox drive belts so I can attempt an approximation with a 10 for a buck O ring? I want to resurrect my Xbox's troublesome disc drive that refuses to come out of it's shell, like a shy turtle.

I bought a couple of softmodded xboxes off eBay last week and started tinkering with them. Wanted something to run emulators and xbox games to go along with my RGH xbox 360. It's been pretty fun so far trying out the different dashboards and skins.

I'm thinking the Ind Bios 5003-5004 as they also have support for 128mb ram

Anyone know how? It's been 3 years since I did xbox work and I honestly forgot how or even IF you can stick the factory bios back on. I already googled this for an hour.

Hey, I'm Nick. Started lurking on the Facebook group about a month ago. Used Xbox-Scene waay back in the day to softmod my original Xbox. It was sold along with alot of my collection when the Xbox 360 came out. I recently picked up my current box for $40 with two controllers and 17 games (mainly sports titles :/) Working on the soft mod now but still have to take it apart because it reads discs poorly and I need to remove the clock capacitor. Fun stuff!

More curious than want to put into practice but after I load a game from disk onto the Xbox Hard Drive, it might be nice to create an ISO as a backup if the game disk fails. I was thinking some kind of program on a PC connected via the network to the Xbox.
