About Me

  1. Hi, I'm trying to help out a long-distance friend to get their untouched xbox working again. Absolutely no reaction to power on, probably faulty power board, power cable, or maybe the clock capacitor problem. As the xbox is untouched, there's no backup of the HDD and save files are important for nostalgic reasons as well as the ability to replace the HDD in case of failure. The most efficient way is a softmod and backup of eeprom.bin and copying the save files. To get there, you have to go through quite some steps to softmod and access your xbox through FTP. (Doable, probably even easier than what I'm trying to suggest) If modding is not going to happen any time soon, I was wondering if it's possible to make a clone of the HDD by using GhostImage or some other imaging tool to backup the enitre HDD. Would rewriting this image to a new HDD (possibly bigger) make the new HDD work directly as intended? I don't think his PC can host IDE drives anyway, but I was just wondering if this would work.
  2. I have very badly scratched games and want to create backup disks. It took me quite some time to repaid Colin Macree 04 to work on DVD2XBOX - finally after using magic eraser I managed to get the xbox to read the disk and extract the ISO using DVD2XBOX - however - when I went to copy the ISO to my pc - it turns out there is an ISO just over 4GB and another ISO just over 2GB - any idea why there is 2 ISOs? Thanks
  3. Just wondering... as title says, what is the procedure you use and/or prefer to transfer your ISO games to HDD? I see "Qwix" does this, but I also read something about "C-Xbox". Both seem to do basically the same things more or less. What's your experience about this matter? Do you know any other software for this purpose? My OSs are mostly linux based, I have no windows machines, so if something for linux exists I'm happy to hear. However, I can use windows virtual machines. Thank you, have a good day. Sceriffo

  5. please help me i have an error 13 on my xbox and i was wondering if can use a halo 2 iso burnt on a DVD to fix it
  6. Hi! Is there an app for windows that allows extracting multiple ISO redumps for og Xbox? Note that I mean ISO, not xiso, regular extracting apps doesn't work bc those ISO files have more than one layer. I've only managed to extract single file at once, I have a lot of those redumps and it takes a lot of time to extract them.
  7. I just wanted to let you know of this program I found on my search to extract some ISOs that were exact copies of discs rather than xISO. Difference is that in an exact replica, the video layer is also included. These ISOs are the ones that are referenced through Redump. Unfortunately, it is only in French, but it's simple enough to not need any text. Found it here: https://digiex.net/threads/gx-xgd-extract-v00-10-10-xbox-and-xbox-360-iso-extractor-ftp-uploader.11885/ Included it in this post in case the link goes down GX.XGD.Extract.00.10.10.zip
  8. Hi does anyone know how to use this or where i can get the latest cxbox tool from i have to make 3 post to download send me links to [email protected] or here im new lol extract-xiso-2.7.1.tar.gz
  9. I had a copy of the collection of 97 emulators for the xbox from isozone, but my machine died and now isozone is gone:( Am I completely screwed or is there another place to get them again anywhere?
  10. I came across this skin a little while ago and I really like the look of it, but I was hoping someone could help me with the video previews. I have them working, if you move over and click on the game preview, but in the thread below there is come code that enables you to view the previews by just pressing down on the dpad. However I have absolutely no idea where the provided code goes. Can anyone help me out please? https://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3039&start=20
  11. More curious than want to put into practice but after I load a game from disk onto the Xbox Hard Drive, it might be nice to create an ISO as a backup if the game disk fails. I was thinking some kind of program on a PC connected via the network to the Xbox.
