I'm trying to learn this dash, and watched the old youtube tutorials by Team Kodi, but can't figure it out, they use SMB instead of the xbox hdd. I installed Red Vs Blue S01E01 and Game of Thrones S01E01, but neither show up in TV Shows. I downsampled both with ffmpeg, and they play great when manually selected in File Manager. This is what my folders look like. When adding the TV Shows source folder, I selected TV Shows, and a tv show scrubber populated, so I feel that part is correct. I'd like to not have to rely on the database scrubbing, and just manually install all that stuff, if possible. If the xbox ever loses internet, I want it to be the same experience with full synopsis and thumbnails.

I've been working on an xbox maintenance installer in my language (italian) for a couple of years now and to improve it i'd like to make uleashx xbe files read specific xml configuration files instead of the classic config.xml (like in the Cerbios disc, like on Hexen and like on Rocky5's softmodding tool). I've searched a lot online but i couldn't find any information about it. does anyone know how to make this possible? thanks a lot to whoever can help me

Hey there, I have an Xbox rev 1.0. With a cheapmod based modchip (SST49LF020), with BIOS Evo.XD6 EjectFix. I want to replace the current 120GB HDD with a bigger one. But the issue is that, I'm not able to flash with another custom BIOS.

Is it possible to have XeniumRGB and a SPI2Par installed at the same time with OpenXenium; there's only one JST port on the chip.

Many years ago, I'd snapped off a dip switch on my X3 mod, now I'm stuck as 1mb bioses that I can select from the bank selection. As you can see bank 4 is broken, I've tried moving it with a sharp knife but I can't get it across. Therefore I can only boot with 1mb bioses, in the position I'm in now is the only one my Xbox fires up, all other banks are empty, I flashed Cbios to the main bank which I assume is bank 1 with the 256mb bios seeing it was an empty bank and it doesn't work, just makes the Xbox not power on, however if I go into the X3's live menu system holding my white button down and boot it as a 256k bank cerbios works, I just can't select it from the dip switches so it sounds like my ideal solution would be a 1mb Cerbios so I can flash it to the main bank. I'm very limited as to my dip switches positions with dip switch 4 stuck to off, I can't use a 256kb bios. "256k Bank Bank 1: on on on on Bank 2: off on on on Bank 3: on off on on Bank 4: off off on on Bank 5: on on off on Bank 6: off on off on Bank 7: on off off on Bank 8: off off off on 512k Bank Bank 12: on on on off Bank 34: off on on off Bank 56: on off on off Bank 78: off off on off 1MB Bank Bank 1234: on on off off (Set to this when flashing first time with FlashBIOS) Bank 5678: off on off off 2MB Bank Bank 12345678: off off off off"

Is there an official tool to convert bin/cue xbox images to iso? I tried renaming a bin file to iso, and it worked, Mulleter even loads the iso as a disc with no errors. Just wondering if this method works, what do I do with the cue file, they're all only 1KB. The game plays fine when renamed. Would there be any consequences when renaming instead of converting? I just tried ISObuster 5.4.1, but it produced a file with the exact same size and hash as renaming, is this even needed?

FIXED SEE BOTTOM OF POST Hi peeps, I have just added a blue LED halo to my Xenium modded crystal. Its looks great, the ONLY issue is that its a bit too bright... Its a 12v halo for car headlights. Here's the link to the exact one I bought. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07G59CHT3?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Here is what it currently looks like on my console.... And the view from above.... Its so bright that it leaves rings in your vision for a good 10 mins if you look at the console LOL I'm thinking that I should be able to add a resistor or similar to reduce the voltage a bit. It does have a little box half way along the wires which I think is to help with fluctuating voltage on a car. See pic below FIXED with the below.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MFH9J2D?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Can be dimmed right down, made bright as fuck or set to epilepsy mode

https://cyrix.ca/n-comm-w-modern-controller-on-ogxbox Went through the effort of testing this out as I know there are plenty of people wanting to play on Insignia, want to use a modern controller, but also want to be able to use in-game chat. This setup works and should give people a guide on how to get their own setup going.

I've been scratching my head at this for a few days trying to get this to work with no avail. I've been using this library https://github.com/brentdc-nz/libSDL2x/tree/master but it's not very complete, so I tried using Lantus's libSDLx library (SDL 1.2) and I couldn't get it to set up properly. I'm on physical hardware running Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit. libSDL2x wouldn't work because it would break at SDL_RenderPresent() and spit out an error about memory allocation?

I have 2 XBOXes v1.2 and v1.6 with Rocky5 softmod v1.1.6. I was messing around with the NKPatcher and nulled the HDD drive key on one of them before backing up the EEPROM and now it boots up to error 05. It seems I need to format it using the hotswap method, xboxhdm v1.9 and a backup of the Dashboard from the C partition, which I don't have. Can I use the files from the other XBOX? EDIT: I'm probably looking at it fro the wrong angle... when using the hotswap, won't I get access to the backed up EEPROM in the E partition? Can it be used to restore the HDD?Or is it better to just format it and start from scratch? This subject is still pretty new to me.

Fuck the wires and shrinkwrap. That's retarded. I wire up the negative so I can anchor the LED in place with the resistor. MUCH easier to anchor from one hard point instead of between two hard points. I make sure it all fits under and within the metal shielding.

This thread will demonstrate how the xbox jewel can be removed, and in a pair of follow-up posts how a hole for it can be made on the xbox cover, all in a very low-tech manner. I'm not confident enough to call these tutorials, but they may be helpful. First: removing the jewel. I grab a couple feet of dental floss and stuff it under the edge of the jewel with a card or what have you. Then I dribble some rubbing alcohol down there, because in my experience rubbing alcohol acts as a mild solvent on the adhesive pad thingy underneath. Whatever helps. By the way it was another modder, not me, who invented the floss method. I start flossing while keeping the arms of the floss in that letter U shape. I'm going to add more alcohol in a minute and re-position the floss at the other side of the jewel then continue working it. After a while the floss approaches the middle of the jewel and it starts to bind, that's when I add some mineral oil to lubricate everything. Pretty much any type of oil will do though. The whole mess starts to look like this... Getting farther in, the floss wants to bind again despite the oil. I don't want it to snap. I lift one of its arms to a 90 degree angle and slowly work the floss back into action. Eventually the jewel is off. This took maybe 10 minutes.

Hello, I have had a1.4 xbox with a duox modchip (v1) and I'm a little confused about how I can flash it. I bought this xbox pre chipped 15+ years ago and I've never touched anything past keeping exox dashboard updated. I took it out of storage after a good few years, I would guess I've not used it bar the odd nostalgic game session (It's part of a setup in my living room with an OG xbox a 360 and a series x on shelves) in around 10 years so I have no idea what the latest best things are. Also the xbox came with an 80GB hard drive installed. I have purchased a xbox-HDMI adapter (powered by usb) because my TV has 3 hdmi ports and that's it. literally nothing else. This works. I have an issue with my dvd drive in that the band need replacing, can't get more for a another 2 weeks. In the meantime is it possible to flash the chip without a disc? some places seem to say I must have a dvd and others allude to not needing a disk. I've been researching this for hours and just decided to ask on here. it works ok but I didn't flash the bios so I have never done it before. I was looking at increasing the capacity further but may need a bios flash. in avox settings the BIOS is unknown. So in short, what is the "goto" Bios and dashboard nowadays? Is it possible to do without a DVD drive? Could I do it by stripping the xbox DVD drive putting a disk in and reassemble? If I desperately need to? Bit drastic but I can't do anything for a few weeks. A bit of a bonus question. I had a game of FIFA 2003 last night and it played strange. Like it was sped up. Best description is like an emulator running at 1.5-2x speed. Some games don't boot. I don't know where to start with testing it. If anyone has an idea I'd appreciate it. EDIT: So I've backed up using evox. FTPd it to my PC. I noticed a bios folder. It has 3 files "EvolutionX M7 Bios.nfo" "EvoxM7_ef.bin" and "EvoxM7.bin" I can guess which previous version was. Can I just replace them and flash latest bios from evox launcher then?

I've got a 1.6 with good traces that won't power on. If I hold the power button in I can hear the HDD spinning but nothing else happens, no video output, the led's don't light up, nothing.. Before I go about ordering the replacement transistor for the mb, I'd like to test the psu to make sure it's working, and I don't have any other 1.6's around to try it out in. I've been looking around online for 45 mins and can't find anything specific to testing the psu for correct voltage (it's a Delta if that matters, and everything looks flawless on it, no obvious problems.) If anyone can help me out with this, or has another idea of what may be the problem, I'd appreciate it immensely (and yes I have a multimeter handy :P) Cheers, Jim

I've been in the process of preserving my entire DVD movie collection in ISO format. Coincidentally, I stopped growing my collection about the same time the OG Xbox reached the end of its lifecycle - circa 2006. I realize this approach probably isn't going to be for everybody, as many have moved on to MKVs and Plex, etc. For me, however.. I'm still chasing that vision I had almost 20 years ago, of having all those movies accessible from a beautiful carousel menu, complete with artwork and synopsis - exactly like we have our games in XBMC4Gamers today! I'm able to play these movies perfectly from the File Manager already, but I need help understanding how to make them show up in XBMC4Gamers menu, just like if they were game discs. I think I need to create custom XBEs that link to the DVDs main IFO? Maybe there is even a script I can tweak to automate the process? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm hoping to leverage some of the current Kodi scripts to help pull in all the artwork and other data. In case that doesn't work out, I'm prepared to do it all by hand. If anyone is already working on something similar and would like to collaborate, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be doing about 800 movies myself, and I'm happy to share a complete pack with all the artwork and everything when it's done.

I want to change the hdd of my xbox with an ssd, because the optical drive is not working, but I know that I need the EEPROM to trick the xbox into thinking that the ssd is its original drive, but I dont really know how to do it without installing a custom firmware on the hdd and then be able to use an FTP to get it (the stock firmware doesn't allow the xbox to connect to a pc via ethernet). Then the only other way to do that is "hotswapping" but it requires an old computer with IDE connections but it's a bit difficult to find one. so if there is another way of doing this, let me know to try it Thank you in advance

Hello, I have a chipped Xbox with all the goodies: FTP access, 2TB hard drive, XBOX4gamers as default, etc... I'm the original owner and I never connected it to Xbox Live! I would like to connect it to Insignia but I believe that my dashboard needs an update... My dashboard version is 4817 How can I install V2 Xbox Live for Insignia? I already have an Insignia registration! THANK YOU! and have a good weekend! Also, my XBOX4gamers version is 1.2.122 and I can FTP to it but when I click the URL downloader updater is says no network access but I'm sure that it's connected to the internet! I just want to update the game trainers! any way to do that manually? Thanks again!

There is a bundle of files and I don't know what to do with them. I have the 007 game for the exploit. Can someone please let me know what I have to do to just make this thing work? And to have bioses of different sizes so that I can flash different sized chips? I would like to flash my overclocked version of Cerbios to any console from a 1.0 to a 1.4... or 1.5 if you think the world is flat. So from one megabyte to 256 kilobytes. @SS_Dave @KaosEngineer @sweetdarkdestiny

Someone gave me an Xbox with an Xecuter2 modchip and the Avalaunch dashboard. It uses Px HD Loader for playing games. I searched around and couldn`t find how to get my iso's / xiso's working (converted) for use with Px HD Loader. The DVD drive isn`t working and the only option in the dashboard seems to be loading / converting from CD / DVD. The Xbox contains and 200GB IDE drive, so I can`t hook it up to my PC, wipe the stuff with Fatxplorer and start over. Any suggestions how to convert? Then I can upload my xiso's through FTP and then convert them on the Xbox.
