So i recently bought these two controllers from a man in singapore, he said he used to work for microsoft back in the day and even recieved a launch team edition xbox for working there. I saw he had these two controllers and decided to buy them. I would like help in identifying what they are and if they are prototype controllers or rare unreleased versions. I dont believe they are custom controllers though given the stickers on the back.

Well if someone has asked this question, I can't find it. I have a V1.2, non-chipped XBOX. Was wondering if the EVOX M8+ bios found on Hexen 2018 disc will work for a 2 Terabyte drive? Anybody else got any more suggestions? Thanks

I hope this is the correct forum, apologies if not! I'm totally new to xbox modding and have watched videos and read as much as possible, but I've managed to screw up anyway unfortunately. I bought a hardmodded xbox with Xenium chip but stock hdd and so I used Hexen 2018 to install a 320Gb. I followed instructions, used Xb partitioner so that drive f used the rest of the available space etc. Once done and xbox rebooted, I'm only getting 123Gb available space on drive f! I was advised on another forum to redo it from scratch with Slayer's instead. Again once completed, it went back to only 123Gb available. I tried running xb partitioner again, go an error message 'LB48 not found' (I didn't get this error message the first time). I've tried re-doing it from scratch with Hexen 2018 again, same result even when I tried another hhd that's 250Gb, still only getting 123Gb. Any way to fix this, or should I give up and accept only getting 123Gb to use as at least it's still working now but if I mess about with it I may end up bricking it? (I softmodded my daughters xbox last week, that's working no probs. I'm awaiting a 500Gb hdd in the post, that I was planning to use Chimp to clone to and install, but now I'm anxious that I may have the same prob with that one as well!)

Now i know there is no picture for it but this is the best i could do since i had to use wayback machine . It was a skin from Treya87 called Oblivion Nights. I have softmoded several Xbox's using SID 5.11 but It's old and I want something newer. I donwloaded Rocky5 v1.1.5 and am having some trouble. The video that is referenced is not the same version and I think has some stuff missing. I am using Splinter Cell and have located the folders 5553000C and 21585554. But shouldn't there be another program like SID 5.11 to go along with theses? I see no mention of this and honestly a little lost. If someone could give me a hand I would appreciate it. Would someone explain where to FTP Chimp 26812 to. I have watched all three video files and am still confused. I am having trouble understanding the accent. The E Partition folder has three files in it. 2 Folders name Chimp and XPB Table Writer and install instructions.. I take it I am supposed to put these files on the root of E Partition? But what about all the other stuff. Most of it looks unnecessary except maybe the Source File folder. Am I supposed to put it in a chimp folder in Applications? Tearing what little hair i have left out. Thanks

Hi guys, I am new in the modding scene and after my first attempt i got the bug so bought another second hand xbox but when i loaded it up it had a mod load screen. after further inspection and opening the xbox i discovered a pre installed mod chip but i am very unsure on what it is. Please could someone shed some light on this? also am i able to flash the chip to the newer 1.2 version of bios using the hexen disc? I have added a picture of the mod chip i found installed. i currently have an xbox that has never been modded but is missing the original hard drive. is there anything i can do to put in a new hard drive so i can soft mod the machine in order to tsop it? all help is appreciated.

Hello, My friend gave me his OG Xbox but he doesn't know if it's modded or no ( I have no idea about modding etc, but when I boot the console I see a sign says EVO X on the left corner of the screen ) problem is that after the XBOX startup screen , I get an error 08 and sometimes 09, and the eject button is flashing red and green. Any help guys is really appreciated!!! Thanks

Trying to mod an xbox, I believe it is version 1,4 0r 1.5 . has winbond tsop. already soldered jumper points, it will not read a burnt copy of hexen. do I need to softmod it first?

had this upgraded back in the early 00's I want to start using it again , wanted to know whats the native format for the games is it just an upscale in the box to 1080i ? as I want to use an external scalar, whats the software I need to run now and can I easily transfer games and what is the limit on hd if I fit a new one , is there a site for roms if any one can help id appreciate it im looking for the ultimate setup once again

Hi I have been helping my friend fix his xbox and we discovered his xbox he thought was stock, has a modchip. The modchip is a AppleX-III. If the power button is held down, xbox turns on normal. If xbox is turned on normal, it acts normal. If xbox is turned on by eject button. I'm reading all of this (http://coinops.ninja/readme-ninja.html ) to see if I can figure it out but thought I would ask anyway. How do I add the vison packs so they show in Ninja? I would assume copy everything over except for these items as stated in the read me : "Vision Packs are supported in NINJA. But you need to swap the 3 MyVideo.xml files located in \skin\Default\720p\ \skin\Wheel\720p\ \skin\Wheel Fade\720p\ with the corresponding one from \- Help and ShortCuts\- Common Reconfig Helpers\Full Animation Skins\skin\ ... \720p\MyVideo.xml. This enables all art possible in NINJA, Premium & Vision alike. You need to reboot NINJA however" Will try once I get home but thouht someone might have done it before and could shed some light. The packs I'm transferring are the ps1 shump packs, adults only pack and mario pack. I would assume it wouldnt be that hard just by looking at the other ps games I have in there and basically "mirror" what I already have working. Just have to follow directions on http://coinops.ninja/readme-ninja.html lots to read but its all there. Did a couple of tests and it turned out ok but to add xbox games still have to get the "resources" to make it look professional/good which isn't easy if you have hundreds of games will probably only put the "good ones" in there. And I have to learn how to use gimp or some other editing tools to add the background with the cutout for the xmv preview......

I have a 1.0 xbox that was working perfectly up until the sound output quit. I have tried different cables, different TVs but...nothing. I'm thinking hardware issue...does anybody have suggestions for where on the motherboard I should start looking? Thanks.

Hello All I have a x3 modded v1.2 xbox that i have upgraded with a 2tb drive. I am trying to ftp games to it but after a while it will stop and give me errors like file not found using flashfxp or filezilla. I have tried with static ip and dchp also with router and direct using (crossover cable) from my pc and a laptop. The process gets to a certain point then errors, i've been trying for days with no luck. any suggestions more than welcome. Thanks

So I recently put an xbox into a PC case, and now its fragging. I have some questions. Does every single mobo hole need to be secured for grounding reasons? I have 6 in and its very sturdy. the pads on the bottom of the PSU are also contacting the same metal as the mobo like in the xbox. Its possible one broke in the procedure but I was very gentle. Any info will help, thanks

Hello everybody I am new here and new with Xbox at all i just get xbox crystall ( belive its 1.5 or 1.6 have no idea how to check it without opening) and i thought that i wana softmoded it (for a start) my colegue said i gona find help here so i try can annybody give me some clues how to check is my xbox 1.5 or 1.6 or 1.6b how to start ( i found that i need a special cable for usb stick and splinter cell game for special save) is that the only one way to soft mod? it so many diferent videos (i am not a lazy i star reading about it seen some video but hope maybe sb here give me a helpfull hand) Thanks.

Hello, Just wondering if anybody else has encountered something similar. My hard drive is 250 gigabytes, xbox sees it as 23o gig but my issue is that my f drive where Ninja Premium (all packs 70ish gigs) and games (18 are 1-2 gigs, some are only 500megs) only occupy 12oish gigs, I see this by trying to delete it and then it shows me the size before confirming. I had f occupy all the leftover space with the partition tool when I copied my original drive but it just doesn't seem correct. I'd hate to redo everything, since ftp'ing takes forever. Are there any "hidden" files I should be looking for? If I do "start over" should I just do the regular formatting ie: f,g drives etc....? Thanks !!!!!!! EDIT: Realized I posted in Hardware Mods. Hey lads, I'm having a bit of an issue here. Recently softmodded my xbox and cloned a 2TB Hard Drive over. It has been working fine, I Ftp'd over some stuff and they run fine on the drive. So here's the problem. When I started my xbox today, my DVD Drive was working fine. Albeit I didn't stress test my Hitachi-LG, it immediately booted MechAssault which was in the tray. I've always had a sticky disk tray issue, so I keep a disk in tray so it will open. I Ftp'd over my stuff, moved to the new dashboard. The game also booted fine there. Then I booted DVD2Xbox, and this is where everything stopped working. I tried to rip the game and it failed, about 5 files in, said it had failed to copy over 100 files. I tried to see if maybe the App was just acting up. So I went back to my dashboard and tried to boot MechAssault. It went to a black screen, and then rebooted the dashboard. So... I kept going. I went back to Rocky's softmod dashboard, and when the disc tray initialized, it read MechAssault as the title in the softmod. Hit "Launch Disc", and... no dice, it boots back to the dashboard. A friend suggested maybe clearing the cache, so I did. After clearing the cache, I got the game to load, but first it went to a red patchy screen, and loaded 15 seconds after. I played a round of Grinder, but when I quit grinder... black screen, went back to dashboard. I can't stress this enough, it only stopped working the moment I ran DVD2Xbox. My fear is that I'll probably need to clean the laser, and if it doesn't work, it may mean I need to get a new drive. I couldn't unplug its power cable when I was softmodding [I was desperately careful], so I put it carefully on the table, It flopped over once, and I'm afraid that may be what has killed the drive. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Hi. Recently bought an OG Xbox running CoinOps 8 premium/massive/ninja and UnleashX. I've FTP'd Time Splitters 2 to f:/games/Time Splitters 2 and refreshed 'Games' in Unleash X. Game is seen and works fine. What I can't figure out is how to add a shortcut pointing to the default.xbe file to make the game show up in the CoinOps front end under Console Systems/Xbox. I have the shortcut maker and I've read loads of tuts and forum posts but I'm completely confused now. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers!
