Hi All, I have a long holiday coming up and to fill the time and challenge my self I bought some broken mainboards from eBay. As you can see from the photo, this boards is butchered! I was wondering if I can use the 1.6 upgrade method to add the missing memory ic?

Have an Xecuter 3 system that is running Avalaunch as the primary boot dashboard. I messed up with the XBE shortcut tool and have my system trying to boot up a bad file / folder path. Now when I boot up my system it remains stuck at the Xbox logo with “Microsoft” at the bottom of the screen (see attached). How can I fix this issue? I do not have any blank DVD/CD-R’s. Thanks

So i booted my old Xbox OG and it boots with AV and startup logo and gives me error 07. You also hear the HDD clicking and assume that the HDD has given up. I searched a couple of topic's how to get a new HDD working and i am not sure how to do it with the Aladdin modchip. So the Aladdin boots in 2 states (short power btn press) green logo normal boot and (long power btn press) Aladdin boot red logo. I read that installing a new HDD requires EEPROM that is needed for the new HDD to be able to recognizable for the Xbox. Retrieving could be done with a RaspBerry Pi, that i have. Not sure if the Aladdin modchip makes it easier to retrieve the EEPROM, also saw that some people boot HeXen is that maybe a possibility? Don't really need the normal boot, the Aladdin boot would be enough as long it can start the games and maybe FTP file transfer. If someone could point me in a direction which option might be best i can search how to do it. Sorry for my noob question.

I have a Crtystal panel but unfortunately over the years the write protect button has fallen off and is now missing Is there anyone out there who has one that i can buy from them for a reasonable price??? Or even someone who has a 3d printer that can print a replacement button??? I know its a long shot but i hope theres someone out there who can make my xbox look perfect again

After atleast two months of issues with an HDD swap, I decided to try and TSOP flash my console (1.0 US) While my skills were shoddy at best, I don't think I soldered any pads that weren't the R7D3 or R7R3, and the system seems to boot fine (no error LEDS), but my controller no longer works. I've bought an aftermarket/3rd party controller, and that one didn't work either. There doesn't seem to be any problems on the daughterboard, and all the cables are plugged in right... Any idea what could've happened, and how I might be able to fix this?

Hey there gang. I have an xbox 1.6 that is completely shot. I have done everything possible to get it to power on but no luck. I wanted to know if there was a way of getting the game saves off the HDD. The Xbox was not modded.

Hi, So just the other day, i got a new 2TB Hard installed into my Modded Xbox and I was about to start copying games to my xbox but was having issues with the DVD Drive not recognising any disks any more. While this was happening I decided to play around with the Skin on my installation of DVD2Xbox. I ended up choosing Windows XP Skin. Now the Application starts up with the application splash screen and then goes to a black screen. I am assuming that the skin isn't installed or is broken, so I am getting a black screen. Is there a way to find and fix a config file for dvd2xbox via FTP? and if so how?

Ok I admit I am not a pro modder. Really only started learning stuff. I purchased an already modded OG xbox. Works great but i really wanted to use a wheel and arcade joysticks with soo many games. Found the OGx360 device and bought the 4 controller capable one. Plugged it in with a usb 4 port hub into the ogx360 and viola i had: an xbox 360 corded controller, a race wheel with pedals, and an arcade joystick 2 player board. I was able to turn off which controller i didnt need using the hub. Was soo happy! It worked for about a day... Some reason the controllers all stopped being seen by the xbox. Troubleshooting Tried just 360 corded controller plugged into the ogx360 and it blinks one time does not show the lit up for player number. Which it did do before. Tried switching which micro usb goes where but no effect. An Og xbox controller works so ports on xbox are good. And 360 controller works on a PC or 360 still. Same with wheel and arcade joysticks. So just the Ogx360 is fried? Reached out to seller and got replacement. Yay! But it worked again for about 2 days.... Now i see most people seem to just use a wireless adapter in the ogx360. Is using the 4 port usb hub what is causing my ogx360 to like short out? The devices i want to use are all corded so i dont need the wireless function just multiple USB.

Hi! I opened my xbox controller s to clean it with 95% alcohol and eventually cleaned the black part (where A,B,X,Y,black, white buttons are) with it. I didn't know it was touch digitizer ;-; After i assembled and tested it, the A and X buttons weren't working propertly. The X needed a lot of pressure to work and the A didn't worked at all. After 2 days the X button worked, but it still needs little pressure to work, but the A is like stone dead. Any suggestions? Are there any pins to short so i can simulate button push and eventually to add normal button to work as A.

Hi all I was playing Black earlier (great game) and left it for a while, came back and it was frozen. Not too surprised. So a couple of restarts later and it's just getting worse. To the point where I can only get into XBMC for a minute or two, but can't launch a game without it freezing. At this point I can still hold the white button and get into the X3 boot menu. The power supply looks in a bad way, and I have an identical model lying around, so I swap it out and - no dice, pretty much the same thing as before. Try changing the hard drive: Acts up a lot, get one or two boots out of it before i'm back to square one again. Notice I can still boot into that blue screen where you can flash stuff, I figured maybe my BIOS had gone bad with all the freezes and restarts. Drop a new bios into a folder named C:/BIOS. Load back into the blue screen and manage to start flashing, gets about 3/4s of the way through and it just freezes again. At this point it's completely fucked, just fragging, occasionally it gets to the "X" BIOS screen. Absolutely heartbroken at this, it belonged to a friend of a friend who died in 2005 in a motorcycle accident. If anyone has any idea what could be up with it i'm all open to ideas or paying for repairs (UK) if someone really knows what they're doing. I really don't get it, I pretty much ruled out the HDD, i don't THINK it's the PSU since i replaced it and same again. Just don't know what's up with it. Won't boot into a Hexen 2019 disc I made either. Please help!!!!

Hi Team, So i picked up a XBOX, but sadly the DVD drive is destroyed and so is the HDD. The mother board its self works fine. Is there anyway to get this up and running?

Hello World So I've finally found a Xblast Modchip but... broken one, before buying it, would be happy to hear any advices from the techy folks regarding this situation and what can be done. So seems like the guy who sells it, somehow succeded to crack that U4 chip, and cut a few legs on the Xilinx CPLD, which looks like - they can not be repopulated. The questions are: 1, What chip is U4? 2. Will the new replacement Xilinx XC9572XL CPLD need any firmware? (did not found anything on the xblast repository) 3. Will the SVF from Aladdin Xblast Mod work in this case? (as I know, to launch XBlast bios on Aladdin Modchip, the PLCC32 must have the bios itself, then CPLD also should be written with something) This is how the SVF for Aladdin CPLD LC4032V-XXT44 starts: ! So last night I tried to install JCrockys softmod using Splinter Cell but I think I installed it over the top of my current softmod... So originally I softmodded my xbox with JCrockys softmod but I upgraded my HDD... I used heXEn 2018 disc to format and install my new drive which all worked but I wanted to put JCrockys back on because he seems to be keeping all his stuff up to date and when I did the dashboard was failing to load and I could only boot from a disc. Is there a way I can wipe and clean install JCrockys sofmod, if so, how? And will I need to copy over some things to my computer before I continue? FYI its a 1.4 Halo Special Edition Xbox which has been TSOP flashed with EvoX M8+ Custom Bios. I'm completely new to Xbox modding and I don't completely understand the foundations on how all this stuff works yet so I apologize if this is a very easy fix

Each controller has its own separate issue. Wireless has power issue, buggered solder job. no breakaways majority are chewed wiring issues. Top right is 360 with cord issue 30 CAD + shipping.
