  1. In the instructions it mentions the entire LPC is used minus pins 4/16. This install has missing pins 3/5/12. The chip works flawless in this way just not sure how.
  2. v1.0 I found your link before but the chip install link HTTP is dead. I believe the link posted is supposed to be the reference and just wanted to make sure. team-xecuter.com vs teamxecuter.com the - is the difference
  3. Came across a X3 box with LCD ad BIOS bank switches. The problem is the clock Cap leaked. I want to move it to a known good motherboard but the LPC wiring to the chip differs from this link. https://team-xecuter.com/x3/tutorials/x3pin1015.htm Is this the most up to date install manual for a X3 chip ?
  4. I have a bad batch I got off Ebay , said they worked. Shipping was rough and a lot of the large caps got knocked off. 6-8 units I need them gone PM me if interested I will make you a deal.
  5. This is all the DLC I could find not sure if it contains what you need. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1lG4BVfnB-Wa3vuaEPseebrZdxWgrNonH
  6. Dig around in this maybe you will find what you need. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Q780xtv7sClNLm-QAQ1O9k7c_J-D8fXv
  7. Modern Vintage Gamer covers the leaks and is a little bit of a bummer.
  8. I know it probably doesn't work but I was going to try anyway. I just like messing with hardware. I believe this is due to the GeForce 3 only having directx 8.0 support and retail NV2A has 8.1 AIT at the time released the Radeon 8500 with 8.1 and resulted in a quick move to the GeForce4. In all reality maybe shortening the lifecycle of the xbox due to chip production Nvidia did not want to make anymore.
  9. I got mine working after a GFX bios flash. Let me know if you need reference VC820 BIOS setting or any other information on my system.
  10. After a lot of searching found the known good slot configurations. https://xboxdevwiki.net/Development_Kits#Posible_solutions_on_fixing_a_.28franken.29_alpha.282.29 Also a link on BIOS flashing for the GeForce 3 /Page 5 https://assemblergames.org/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=59747&hilit=Franken+Alpha&start=40 I believe card revision A03 and above is needed on retail cards and most of the Ti variants shipped with the update.
  11. I would first check the condition and type of network cable in use. Crossover cable for box to box and patch cable for network. I used to run 3 PS3 systems for GT5 on 3 screens and this came up often. I had to use a network switch first and then output to the router.
  12. Also in the works is a BETA for the Xbox Live servers to be brought back on line.
  13. Page 19 under section 1.4 states FSB is auto set to 100 Mhz Or 133 Mhz depending on the processor selection. Also I have provided an image of my processor markings. Intel VC820 Manual.pdf
  14. I would have to look into it again but I think the jumper was for Pentium 2 FSB setting . If changing to a Pentium 3 it needed to be changed. I will look at my board and report the setting. VC820 I have a 800 MHz P3 and a Nvidia GeForce 3 not the Ti variant. The system posts fine but hangs on the blinking courser booting from DVD February 2001. N64 freak notes some causes in Troubleshooting. I lost a good post on the PCI slot configuration from assemblergamers. I'm still trying to find it again.
  15. This will help thank you. I am waiting on some new RDRAM as mine was 512 MB not 128 MB. When it comes in will give it another try.
  16. I see you did a little work with a 360 and Xbox neighborhood. Did you ever get that working the way you wanted ?
  17. Does anyone have the May 2001 ISO as mentioned in the directions ? The forum download only has December 2000 and February 2001.
  18. I'm glad somebody form the forum obtained it. I watched it until the end just to see how high it would go. Are you going to put a sweet 1.4ghz in it ?
  19. I have heard off your board. The pictures show the stock plastic retention but look to have pins in the PCB holding down the heatsink. Was this an issue that made you go to the StarTech ? Also the DreamX Has this pin setup too but missing the mounts. I ask because I do not have my 1.4ghz board yet. Since you own a close setup, do you think the Arctic with its screw mounts would cool better due to its size or choke due to its top intake fan close to the lid ?
  20. As many people do not have stock clock speeds, has anyone tried a socket A (AMD) or socket 370 (Intel) retention clips for attachment. I came across the arctic cooling copper silent 3 and a few Star Tech options on Youtube. Cooling section covered at 6:52 Any thoughts or experience would be nice. https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/copper-silent-3.html Arctic https://www.startech.com/Computer-Parts/Fans/6cm-Copper-CPU-HeatsinkFan-for-1U-Servers~FAN3701U StarTech https://www.newegg.com/p/0VE-013Y-00DG9 Antec Twister https://www.startech.com/Computer-Parts/Fans/PentiumCeleron-CPU-Cooler-Fan-Socket-7370-w-3-lead-TX3-connector~FANP1003LD StarTec I do not use a the HDD mount, as i use a IDE to SD card replacement so I have space for these options or larger.
  21. The damage to R7R8 and other traces in the photos, I believe with the iron you have repair is unimaginable. I am sorry, unfortunately I have no useful information required for this repair.
  22. As far as I know v1.6 motherboards do not have clock capacitors. I am lost on the question you have at the moment. What I understand is you damaged the LPC PCB through solder joint trace. If so I question what that would even do given a trace is likely cut for POST operation. A fiberglass pen to expose a good section of the trace with new wire should correct the issue.
  23. Maybe this will help. https://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt3419.html
  24. Xbox Original XCM Console Shell Blue https://www.ebay.com/itm/Xbox-Original-XCM-Console-Shell-Blue/184234723435?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Too rich for me as I do not like the looks of XMC shells.
  25. I had no idea this was somewhat easy. Do you still have a sound card for sale ?
