  1. It's always nice to have more than one solution, at least in my opinion. And i thank both of you SakisTheDrifter, Dave for yours. I guess i will try both of them and see which works better for me or better, for the project i'm on right now.
EDIT Just told him that it was a little joke about that 3 x 2TB and that 2TB are enought to fit 95% of all xbox games on that one HDD. And i also wrote that this baby was made in a time where 80gb wasn't still not that cheap and now days is totaly unnecessary but still cool.
  3. I was a little confused to see some write in german here but hey at least one german mate here (except from n64freak). How ever, it's a nice "little" gadget (which ofc dosn't make to much sense now days). Anyway, hope he will post some pictures of it when hes done. May he use 3 times 2 TB drives in it to make the overkill perfect.
  4. It's a nice idea but i will light up a cleared jewel with one or maybe two red LED's (depends on how it looks) when the xbox is off. But if you have some more infomations about that i may would use that on my crstal xbox. :) Ok, thats a language me as a hi skilled non professional electrician understand. ;) Like Dave already worte on the 1.6, which i use here, all of the yellow wires are always 5v. Which seams to make things easyer. I have use conrad (german electric store) for research about a relay and, if i guess right, this one would do the job. It's a "Omron G5V-1 5DC Printrelais 5 V/DC 1 A 1" (There is also a version with pcb : https://www.conrad.de/de/p/tru-components-relaisplatine-bestueckt-1-st-rel-pcb4-1-1-wechsler-5-v-dc-1570052.html which maybe is a little overkill). SO i will get one of these and try my luck. :) Thanks for your help SakisTheDrifter.
  5. Einmal auf Google " xbox xtender " eingegeben und Eintrag no.5 bringt dir die Einbauanleitung https://goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/xbox/xtinstall.htm - For the record: Just told him that google shows the "manual" on entry no.5 (linked above). Viel spaß beim umbauen.
  6. I think nothing because it's not my schematic. I found that but can't remeber where. Otherwise is would search in that topic for a more non electrician explanation how to wire that up. But because i can't remember from where i found that schematic and a google search dosn't delivered anything about standby LED on classic xboxes, i decidet to open a topic because it's maybe interesting for others too.
  7. I plan to light up a clear jewel when the xbox is in stand by with one or two led's. I searched the web, found a pic (some weeks ago and forgot where i found it) which say nothing to me. So maybe some could help me out here with a simple drawing or a picture for non electricians?
  8. You can made much cheaper and in my opinion easyer without spending more than 20 cents. If you need those for just one time it's perfect and i prefere the needle over the 30 bucks Lamptron tools which i also own. Just get some big long needles from a drugstore/pharmacy and flaten both of them them with pliers and cut one down a bit (not that much you see in my pic) and voila. You may need the pliers here and there to push them in a bit but they will do the job just fine and kost next to nothing. I have made a lot of sleeving with them and like i wrote i prefere them over the Lamptron which i bearly use at all. So you can save, how much(?) 5 to 10 bucks for a one time use. Maybe others find that "hack" useful as well... Kind regards. :)
  9. Come on, they aren't that bad. I have two of them and they work like Maya the Bee on spring.
  10. I have downloaded all of them and the first thing i can say that round about 40% of them are girls pictures like already known from EvoX. 10%-15% are Anime/Fantasy stuff. Then a lot of Cars, HipHop and Game themes. Some of them are twice in the pack and some missing the config.ini. When i find some time and feel bored i will sort the best of them out (No girls, anime, hiphop, cars blablabla themes (i guess i'm to old for that sort of themes)). About the MS Dash copies i have to agree. They are mostly not that nice. The best i have seen is the one frome the Hexen DVD, at least in my opinion. The Project Mayhem is a realy nice one but not realy what i like to use every day. Right now i use the System9 because i "write" my config file on that theme. It's a nice clean theme with all i need. I guess thats why i mainly didn't use something like XBMC with the realy nice Origin theme or XBMC4Gamers which is also a fabulous theme (if you can say so). But i also have to admit that i'm in general not a huge fan of the XBMC even when i have to agree that the XBMC (in all of it's flavors) is a nice piece of software. But it's much more as i need. And as someone who didn't can't code or doing gfx that good, UX is something i can deal with (more or less :D ). If you want you can take a look at my "in work" config i have attached but be warned, it's in german so better don't use it. :D And a screen of the theme (Blackbox Jezz Mark3 true blue) i plan to use for it when i found out how to display the videos in the upper right box. The lower right is then for the system info. config.xml
  11. Well here are 1700 more skins (found on reddit) https://archive.org/details/XBUXSkins
  12. Oh come on Shadow. There are two or three other nice out there if you tweak them here and there a bit. The VisTux is simple but pretty nice skin. Or the Blackbox Jezz Mark3 of which im working right now (black/blue and black/green (default) and maybe a white/iceblue version) to get it work with video previews. I also work on the iND config file to integrate all apps and games ect.. When, and damn, it's a big when (considering how much lines of games i still have to add (apps are done ), i'm done i think i will share it here. In case someone will halp adding blocks of games, you're welcome. But i also have to admit, that i use the system9 skin as well since i'm back. Btw. : @ OGAdmin (Boss, Master) - Something like a hide or expand button would be nice.
  13. Here you have a unleashx skin pack and i'm pretty sure there are 2 or 3 inside in blue and green. https://1fichier.com/?g3gjsg319vtqcgzji501&af=3160491
  14. So exactly what i wrote first in post #6 what you should do first.
  15. Got that from here and after that the guy was able to flash his chip (german forum btw. (so google translator will help out here) but Warlock is very well known for his good work). https://htmh.de/forum/index.php?thread/41-sst-49lf020a-49lf002b-flashen/&postID=122
  16. That needs to be in the evox.ini in case you want to flash it with evox.ini Or you use : SundayFlash v1.2 for SST49LF004B (atteched) or Option three you use : eurasia pro generic flash disc v1.3 ( DL : https://1fichier.com/?tgnf6tx60ab81ssqem2d&af=3160491 ) XFlash & co will not work on A/B chips. SundayFlash_v1.2_for_SST49LF004B.rar EDIT : You can also disable the write proction by bridging bt with l1 on the chip (But mainly you should not need to do that!). ! -> And if you press to long on power the write poction is ON.
  17. If you have another xbox on hand with an aladdin or LPC2 ect., try to hot flash the 49lf020 in another xbox. I had a same issue with an 49lf020 (on a LPC2 Mod Chip) and after i hot flashed the chip it works fine now and can be flashed in the other box. EDIT: Which 49lf020 you have - 49lf020 / 49lf020A / 49lf020B?
  18. Nice. Found one for 5 bucks on ebay. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/dell-dimension-3000-desktop-rechner/1442902889-228-7522 EDIT. Ok laptop is running XP without problems but the chip didn't respond on flashing, formating or erasing. When i hit flash, format or erase the LED goes out and the tool didn't respond until i reconnect. Bad luck i guess but worth the try.
  19. The guy who wrote the xbit linux flasher has used this board so it will work even it's an nvidia chipset like he wrote in the readme. Atm im fighting with my laptop. Windows xp installs almost fine but when it comes to register (at the end of the installation) it fails. Funny part is, the laptop boots up fine after that and it also detect the xbit board right (USB works fine). But i can't run any exe file at all. No rights for anything. So i try it with another cd right now. Maybe the self made installer srew that up some where. will see. And if i fail again, i guess i will buy that 20,- bucks old school which i found on ebay (Ofc i will bring the xbit when i buy it and buy it only if it works). EDIT: And i have a USB 1.0 PCI card which i could try.
  20. That was alsmost what i had thought but, the funny part is, that the chip shows up in the software. That makes me wonder a little bit. But i also read this topic here and i didn't have my hopes up to high. So at least you're right i guess, it must be an I/O problem. I have windows xp here somewhere and one of those bootable xp systems on dvd. I think, i will give that a try on my pc and my laptop. If that doesen't work i try to install xp on the laptop. Maybe that works. One of the mainboards that should work is the MSI GF615M-P33 V2(MS-7597). That was used with that linux tool i linked on page 1, which i would give a try but my linux skills almost not exist.
  21. Maybe Gig3rguy should offer a flashing service for the xbit.
  22. Let me bring up this topic again. I got a X-Bit 1.0 today (without doughter board) and i managed to wire it up with an dip switch and so far the xbit seams to work. The software for the xbit 1.0 runs, after a little troubleshooting, on windows 7 x64 but it seams i can't access it (no read or wirte options). The chip comes up with a lot of errors about that. So i tried a windows xp vm. All fine, chip shows up but then also no luck on read / write / status or format. So anybody has found another solution except an real windows xp mashine to get that old chip up and running? EDIT : Found a tool for the XBIT 1.0 for linux (maybe useful for one or the other ... (which didn`t include me for real cuz there is no gui)) https://github.com/tuxuser/xbit_flasher-xbox
  23. Well, since nothing realy happens here i have dig arround a bit and how it looks i found "something". First of there seams to be a pretty old hack of tHc (XboxDash-Hacked 10027100 v1.1-THC) which seams to work only with 10027100 and 1012a700 xbox dashboards and i'm not to sure if there are files missing but at least i want to share it DL : https://1fichier.com/?tukvduixhu4p89lpi8tn ) And there is a tHc lite and also a modded version of it which i ripped from an spanish installer called "ZXBInstaller". DL for ZXBtHc LITE Mod : https://1fichier.com/?yhtpzok37umyoly6wfay DL for tHc LITE : https://1fichier.com/?ip3lp9hcozwqcrpoudnb All these seams just to work when you put them on the c drive but my 1.4 TSOP box endet always up with a reboot and then it got a kernel panic (poor little thing). When i'm in the right mood i will burn the DVD, put another hdd in the box and see if i can install it to see if it works or not. Anyway, maybe someone like to play arround with it so here you go. EDIT : All in one : https://1fichier.com/?1t1tsalrnq6bx7ra6qxo
  24. Thanks. Green isn't everyone's favorite thats true but most ppl. do blue LED's, blue jewels ... So i decided to keep things simple and go with green LED's and keep it from the outside as stock looking as possible (if you can say that on a slim). Main point for me was the inside and get rid of anything which don't have a use (and well one thing that had one but it's gone too) and to add the HDMI on the inside. Second goal was to keep it as cool and quiet as possible which turns out pretty well (I expected it to be louder with the three fans but it's pretty quietly.) Finaly i have learned something and i'm ok with how she turns out. But maybe you like white more? I atteched a pic of one of my other xboxes which is just black with white LED's. It's so totaly not special (from the outside). :D
  25. Welcome and it's a pretty bad idea to spam the board just for a download. Maybe it makes more seens to ask for something. But hey, that are just my 2 cents.
