  1. Not anymore. Since I have fixed TruHeXEn it boots very fast. How erver, it sounds to me like there is a WD green in the xbox. Very typical to sit on the X Logo screen when head parking is enabled.
  2. Realy? Was it my spelling - again? ( I knew it was "that" insead of "which". Damn it. ) :D
  3. It's not your eyes. It's the parts which getting smaller.
  4. Pic of the traces for the LPC : https://imgur.com/a/jj8AONv It might come handy.
  5. I need to guess here and say it's just bad development and some ppl. say that the Devs (DMS) didn't care about the problems. The 1.5 at release was already more or less dead so I think it wasn't worth the hassle for them just for a hand full of user.
  6. Yeah, ppl. have a lot of problems because of modern hardware. What I found out is that the intel 8/9 chipset works no problem using windows 98 and 2k (Tested on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 which I got for 10 Euros). It should also work with XP but that thats untested on my side (Need an extra HDD to test that which I don't have atm.). But another user here used a Dell Dimension 3000 with XP and worked for him (Also Intel 9 chipset (915 if I'm not total wrong)). So I'm take a huge guess that all older Dell Dimension will work with the XBit as long as they have an Intel CPU inside (The AMD versions use a NVidea chipset which I assume are not working). And there is an Linux tool for it which works with modern PC but most ppl. don't use linux and they also don't like the bash (because the tool didn't has a GUI) or can compile code so it's not for everyone. So the only thing which is needed is someone with enough skill and some spare time to write a flasher for windows with a basic gui.
  7. The XBit is a nice modchip when you have the right old hardware on hand to flash it. You basicly just need a PC/Laptop with Intel 8 or 9 chipset and you will have no problems flashing it. And with XBlastOS and a 1.6 EvoX (For softmodding) and 1.0-1.4 EvoX (For TSOP Flashing) on it it's also a great tool because of the pogo pins. How ever, I like both of my XBits (1.0 & 1.5).
  8. There should be a torrent on AP. And it takes a long time to download. And as far as I know there isn't another source for it but I can be wrong here. And better go with XBMC4Gamers and get the "things we don't talk about" on archive.org.
  9. You Aladdin has a Lattice. His and the one I modded for the dude the other day had a no lattice cotroller chip. Maybe thats the problem. Cheap knock off.
  10. That ain't work Dave. He tried that and me tried that also. BT to point 2 on the Aladdin and alt DO to GND = no boot. And DO to Aladdin results also in a non booting console.
  11. I don't have the answer for it but I ran into the same issue like you 2 days ago with the same modchip (Tagget as Super Aladdin, installed in 2005 like the owner told me). I ended up to leave L1 & BT atteched because everthing I tried ended up in a not booting console. Just for security I also flashed the TSOP on that console. NOw he has a multi bios coinsle. So maybe TSOP flashing the XBox and removing the chip is a thing you should consider.
  12. That is very weird. For usual that trick works for error 16. Yes the ISO should be burend with IMGBurn and on a DVD-R (Best choice are Verbertim). RW media most like don't work. What media do you use? Is tehre anything else you ever burned on the media you use right now that works? (So that we can confim it's not the DVD it self?). One last trick. Download this pack :https://1fichier.com/?kinvner9q3c4dy7yiobz Copy the folder C to your C partition and E to E and see if your XBox boots up.
  13. To fix error 16 just format the HDD on your PC with FatXplorer. After that put it back in your xbox and the error 16 should be gone and you can boot the installer.
  14. There is your problem. Use non RW media like "Verbatim DVD-R".
  15. You can't run this disk or better the content of this disk of your HDD. It's made to run from disk and it searches there for files. How do you burn the ISO? (Best is to use ImgBurn). Have you downloaded the right file (OGXBox Installer 2021 - v1.5.4.rar - for the most users)?
  16. 0xbf52,"SST 49LF020A",0x40000; 0xbf57,"SST 49LF002A / 49LF002B",0x40000 0xbf61,"SST 49LF020",0x40000 Stupid question. Which HeXEn version you have?
  17. Maybe to long file names or forbidden signs. Both is possible. There are some games out there which can't copied to HDD because of that. Problem soved. Not always. Sometimes you need to patch the game using DVD2XBox. And some games didn't work at all (not much). That depends. If DVD2XBox isn't able to fix the error I would try to use the game as XISO using an iND XISO Bios + XBMC4Gamers
  18. Finaly I found the solution to read and WRITE the Winbond W49F020T-90B correctly. So grab the " M29F002BT " like Daefledar mentioned. Then select " ADD IC BY USE " and use the M29F002BT as reference. Add your own name " W49F020T-90B " and add manufactor " Winbond ". Device ID as usual " DA C8 ". (See screen shot) : https://imgur.com/a/wsiJ2d4 Now you can read and write the TSOP using the addoed profile without any problem. I did that now 3 times to check. I also checked the written/dumped bios (EvoX) with EvTool and damn, it works! Btw. The " Check ID " box needs to be disabled. Here is a video how it works and the proof that it work : https://youtu.be/3Sj6634y8yQ EDIT : And btw. a new update for the programmer is out (11.71) : https://www.mediafire.com/folder/hfg5kfj7euw5j/xgecu
  19. The noDVD Bios disables the DVD check when you power on your xbox. It's useful in case your DVD stop working. It basicly prevents you to get an DVD error massage on boot.
  20. This is an option to install an additional dashboard after you has setup the HDD using set up HDD. Nothing more. So you have one option to keep you games and get it up and working. Set up C+E only to keep your games. Default dashboard after that will be unleashx. Then you can either flash a bios wich points strait to X4G or you flash an cec/cee bios which boots C:\evoxdash.xbe or E:\evoxdash.xbe. After that use the switch dashboard option to copy the shortcuts. EDIT. BTW. it looks like you use a super old bios (LBA48 info not found) which maybe search for something which is not there and also didn't support extended partitons.
  21. First of, what you have there is an X-Chip (Plans, firmaware etc. download : https://1fichier.com/?feoloeoptc392wugj385 ) The doughter board is the programmer port which is usaly extern because of easyer programming. I have downloaded your pictures and cant see any obvious singn of damage. Also the caps are looking good which doesn't mean they are. The caps in front of the CPU are notorious to fail even you didn't used your xbox. So what I would do is, even they look good, I would replace em and see if that fixes the problem.
  22. Check the caps in front of the CPU.
  23. Do you use a 80 wire cable or the old 40 wire? What type/brand is your new HDD (WD Green)?
  24. This was the one I ordered : https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B071RWPBGG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8 These are the ones I use : https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07SJZL6W3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8 Maybe it is possible that the slims are working with a SSD, didn't tested that. How ever, I would not recommend the slim adapter.
  25. The 0xdab0 is for SST49LF020A and the W49V002A also because, they are the same chips according to Warlocks post in his form : https://htmh.de/forum/thread/41-sst-49lf020a-49lf002b-flashen/?postID=1690 (Maybe he's wrong) HeXEn states : Flash = 0xdab0,"Winbond W49V002A",0x40000 and Warlock names the same value for SST49LF020A. And I found that : https://mechaman999.proboards.com/thread/101/type-aladdin-chip The MAYBE only chance to flash those FAKES with the xbox is (I guess (HUGE GUESS!)) if some with the right skill could rewrite/change Sunday flasher or xflash (source code available) for example or raincoat FAKE CHIPS SUCKz
