  2. That's a DVT3, nice. Don't use it for anything. Literally.
  3. Today
  4. Honestly, if I could find someone local that understood how rare it is and would give me a decent price I'd sell it in minute. My kid wants me to trade it for a PS5 Personally I'm torn. I've owned just about every game console ever made and wished I'd kept them all, so I'm fine just leaving this on a shelf to look at, but we have an original XBox that we will actually play and if someone else that's REALLY into collecting wants it then I'd be happy to let it go. Last thing I want to do is deal with random people on the internet though.
  5. Give it to me, so I can finally stop procrastinating and start making Homebrew. This will be a good motivator. /s
  6. We were working on some tools to support game development and was given this by Microsoft, but never ended up needing it. Guess they never asked for it back, dev group no longer exists, and it was put in a pile of old desks, filing cabinets, and computers. We were sorting everything and this was about to be put in a pile of old PC's that we were literally going to pay a company to properly e-waste but I pulled it out. I paid about $100 for a few things including this in an employee auction. I think we put everything we raised towards a charity, which was cool, but it's just been sitting in a box for I don't know how long now.
  7. I was saying to discord that all we need now is a 3D printed case for it!
  8. That is so incredibly badass. Are you kidding? Where did you get it?
  9. I tested the startech case and it does work fine. I hadn't tried it yet and somebody I sold one to claimed that the board did not fit. It does, so never mind.
  10. Depending on the price, I'm sure some ppl here would interested in buying. Myself included. No point in keeping it tucked away if you're not into it. It really all depends on what YOU want to do with it.
  11. Don't think it was ever used. The drive/card packaging was never opened, don't think the DVD's have ever been taken out of their cases. Did plug it in and it fires up, but haven't done anything else with it. I also have an old modded XBox that has been sitting in a closet for many years, recently pulled it out to play with my kids and we started reading online about replacing the cap's in them. It still works but we'll do that soon, but then I remembered we have this thing just sitting in a box. What would you do? Sell it and let a buyer open it up and fix...open it up ourselves ASAP before those cap's kill it...do nothing? Only thing I don't think we'll do is send it back to Microsoft
  12. It is. Just have to be patient for now.
  13. I've fixed a couple of 1.6 consoles with this method
  14. Hi I bought on ebay a cheap "1.0 MainBoard" XBOX but turns out the guy put in a 1.6 and forgot to snip the screwpost. Can it be brought back to life or ist it gone for good? Gruß
  15. Is the HDMI Mod going to be released? Would love to be able to purchase one.
  16. Anyone going to build these? Id buy one with a nice 3d printed case
  17. I haven’t seen these but I definitely want one. I also tire of having to do the same!
  18. Sorry, I was referring to the Startech Case.

  21. Fitment issues with thw motherboard holder? This is the first I've seen one of them and now of course I want one. I'm so tired of putting random things under the boards to get them level under the microscope.
  22. I print and am selling these, however somebody recently told me that there are some fitment issues with the model. There does not appear to be accommodations for some of the hardware on the adapter. I'm looking into it.
  23. Thanks! I'll take a look. Really not that big of a deal. I can still play games and it reads just fine.
  24. @Ryzee119 you are a wonderful person! thank you.
  25. You might want to run through some of the guide here and see if removing and realigning your tray might help. You can also take a look (with the tray removed) and see if anything looks broken or otherwise askew. Glad the squeaking was resolved at least! http://web.archive.org/web/20050305101328/http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/Samsung_DVD_Complete_Disassembly.htm Edit: I want to say when I had this issue before on a Samsung it was because the gear right beneath the tray near the front (sticks up higher than the rest and actually moves the tray in and out) was broken and therefore loose. I can’t remember for sure though. It’s been a while since that one came around.
