Hello, I purchased this chip a while back and decided to install it in my TSOP modded Xbox so I could add another LCD unit to my collection. the pin header section was removed by the previous owner, which I do not think is a problem because I seen a video of someone using the same chip with the wire install using the solder pads as I did. Every time I press power or eject It frags, but if I remove the DO it boots my TSOP fine. I tried all the button presses to try to get the OS to load, but no go. I have been searching online now for a few hours to no avail, not much info on this chip left out there now.
I am hoping someone here has experience with this chip. I see there are 3 spots labeled JP1, JP2 and JP3. it appears they are for adding switches for hard selecting a bios on the chip but I'm just not sure.
I think someone flashed it incorrectly, is there a way to rescue the chip? I keep seeing posts about there being a backup on the chip to rescue it.
I am using a generic IDE to SATA( I have had it forever- cant find any identifiers) & a WD black 2tb. I am getting super slow boot times & random partition corruptions. I have followed the tutorials as far a using xbpart 1.0 to make a 230mb partition, then 1.1 to make it 927.78 w 64k clusters. I feel that I am doing it all right, but G never shows up & F is never the right size in other apps (eolution x - unleash x - XBMC) Also sometimes C or E will just end up 0mb after a reboot. Just gone. I am also getting super slow boot times & am running Yoshihiro-m8-1.6B-Memory-Fixe-Beta4.bin for a bios flashed into the main bank. Any Ideas?
I'm reading all of this (Please login or register to see this link. ) to see if I can figure it out but thought I would ask anyway. How do I add the vison packs so they show in Ninja? I would assume copy everything over except for these items as stated in the read me :
"Vision Packs are supported in NINJA. But you need to swap the 3 MyVideo.xml files located in
with the corresponding one from \- Help and ShortCuts\- Common Reconfig Helpers\Full Animation Skins\skin\ ... \720p\MyVideo.xml.
This enables all art possible in NINJA, Premium & Vision alike. You need to reboot NINJA however"
Will try once I get home but thouht someone might have done it before and could shed some light. The packs I'm transferring are the ps1 shump packs, adults only pack and mario pack. I would assume it wouldnt be that hard just by looking at the other ps games I have in there and basically "mirror" what I already have working. I've also posted in the Back-ups.me , and the Coinops forum.
EDIT: Figured it out, sort of. Just have to follow directions on Please login or register to see this link.
lots to read but its all there. Did a couple of tests and it turned out ok but to add xbox games still have to get the "resources" to make it look professional/good which isn't easy if you have hundreds of games will probably only put the "good ones" in there. And I have to learn how to use gimp or some other editing tools to add the background with the cutout for the xmv preview......
