Andrew smith
I have a v1.1 that was modded when i bought it, i added an open xenium mod chip and did the 128mb upgrade with xblast on my open xenium. chips are all successful and xblast loads fine, when i add a new bios to my chip and try to boot that bios i get either flashing green light or solid green with no video with every bios other than xblast bios. Xblast boots no issue from ox menu but no other bios will. it either solid green led or flashing green with no video on screen . I have replaced almost every cap on the board and it still does the same thing. any help would be appreciated wont boot stock hdd either booting perfectly to ox menu and xblast but no other is a very weird issue in my experience and this isnt my first mod
SS_Dave
A solid green led with no display is normally a soft modded hard drive. Have you tried to load a install DVD. What BIOS are you putting on the chip? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. Andrew smith
i have tried cerbios, evo m8, indi. the hdd i am using is my unlocked drive i have used on every xbox i have ever had. its odd that xblast loads no problem but no other bios will load. and cerb was working at first then i installed my lcd and all bioses accept for xblast stopped loading. i removed lcd and still same nothing will load other than xblast. i went over mb with magnifying glass to see if any traces were damaged and cleaned with alcohol and same result and i quickly built a hdd to accomadate cerbios and still same result. solid green led no video

SS_Dave
Are you getting any sound? What happens with the drives ( DVD and HDD ) disconnected? With Cerbios what happens if you power on with the eject button ( Safe Mode )? Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. SS_Dave
I would load Xblast and check the video setting and make sure the 480 and 720 is enabled. It sounds like only 1080 is enabled Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. No. As a mod chip over rides the onboard BIOS Your using a Open Xenium chip? Is the D0 point on the Xbox connected to the mod chip or to ground? SS_Dave
What happens if you power on the Xbox without any mod chip connected? The D0 point on the mod chip is not important as long as the D0 point on the Mother Board is grounded Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing

trencherfield
You either have a small bridge and/or a fault on one or more of your ram chips. The fact that Xblast loads and passes the ram is not an infallible result. This has happened before to people. This is the reason why Xblast and only Xblast loads up for you. It is designed as such so it can individually test each ram chip. It may be very hard to see a bridge, it may be residing under the arch of the pins or it may simply be a damaged/faulty ram module. My bet is if you remove all the ram and hand solder fresh ram on, then it will boot. Also, make sure you are testing the board within it's metal shield enclosure and the board ground tabs are clean and to the PSU as well. I have a 1.0 board that exhibits that behaviour out of its case/shield.
