Implementing Retro Achievements?

I was honestly just curious if anyone has tried to get any of the emulators working with RetroAchievements? Or if it was even possible. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Would I do it? Yes. 

Do I know how to do it? No.

AFAIK the functionality needs to be added to the emulators at source. Its not something that will just work. 

I would say that @madmab over on EmuXtras would be the ideal person to answer this question.

He has been asked this before, numerous times. He says he doesn't have the time & energy for it. Which I don't blame him for as he's been in the scene for almost two decades now.

Dont blame him either to be fair, the amount of work involved must far outweigh the amount of people that would actually use it.

HCF over at EmuXtras started to add these to the MadMab Emus

I was aware of this one already, I woudl of thought that if it was anywhere near as simple as porting over the work to the other emus then HCF or someone else would of done it by now seeing as the Atari 2600 one was released almost a year ago.

The atari 2600 one HCF did has been fun, I've gotten all of the achievements on asteroids and most on galaxian. Maybe reply on the thread over at emuxtras, show there's some more interest? Maybe he'll do some more systems.

Thanks for all the responses. I love getting achievements on old games and Google wasn't pulling much. Would be a truly great addition. Didn't know about the Atari one!!
