Anywhoo im curious as to if there is a way to unlock said drive without the eeprom..i still have the board but no power supply for it as i abandoned it and went to work on my 1.6 but i do still have the mobo and associated sister boards. Is my only hope resurrecting the 1.4 board or can i pull the eeprom without power to it? I have an Aladdin chip if i need to go that route...any help would be appreciated. dtomcat Posted March 8 Report Share Posted March 8 There is a way… do you have another working Xbox? If not… do you have an old PC with IDE ports? edit: yes… a 1.6 (reread post). Easiest would be an openxenium… but I believe promethOS is working on different chips now (believe Aladdin is one). so load prometheOS onto Aladdin… plug drive as is into your 1.6 and tell prometheOS to grab password and unlock Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
