Hey all, This might be a foolish thought, but would it be possible to create an av cable that does both component out and vga out at the same time? I ask because if it were possible, it would be a very cheap an effective way to capture gameplay from an original xbox while playing. I was looking at this diagram for av pinouts and saw how similar they already were: https://imgur.com/odRIA8b I guess the only potential issue is that pins 9 and 10 are shorted for when its VGA and are not shorted when its component? Would be curious to hear from people more knowledgeable than myself.

Hi everyone I bought a new monitor for my pc-ps2-xbox setup and it has HDMI and VGA input. I am using a little composite to HDMI converter but the quality is just horrible, so I was thinking about making a component to VGA cable (hoping my monitor supports sync on green) since I have some spare cables laying around. I couldn't really find anyone doing this kind of thing (except coupl of viedos) but saw some being sold online, so I assume it vould work. Anyone knows how to wire such a cable? Do you suggest to try it out or to buy an RGB to HDMI converter? Thank you!

Access to RGB and HV signals on the motherboard - YES. Output voltage correction/boost - Can be made. Bios - what bios to use? Since all custom bios are fake VGA mode. Talking about REAL VGA, bypassing encoding chip and directly tapping into nvidia chip.

Hi guys, Looking for some feedback here. I have seen a VGA cable that is detected as component by the Xbox. Seller states its similar to the Frosty VGA cable. I have UnleashX on an Aladdin XT2 with Xromwell running on a v1.2 Conexant Xbox. My TV handles YPRPB component signal through its VGA input. Anyone got experience here, Ive seen old posts about certain BIOS for VGA but cannot really follow whats being said due to my inexperience. Do you guys reckon the cable will work with my configuration? Heres the cable... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-Xbox-VGA-Cable/143347461008?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D4e45587c267d4ab7a06d54be3c0b2a20%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D143330087113%26itm%3D143347461008%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A1dd926d6-f65e-11e9-b466-74dbd180baa1|parentrq%3Afdd9c30a16d0a4b7fd020259fff76961|iid%3A1

Hi everyone, I just introduced myself in the "new members" section. And now I have a bunch of questions covering different topics. I have a softmodded XBOX that I modded like ten years ago. I do not remember what softmod, what exploit, did I tsop-flash...? My setup is as follows: XBOX 1.2-1.5, 2.5"Sata-hdd, laptop-dvd-drive, VGA-connector on the back with a DIP-switch to choose vga-video-mode (so obviously i did a tsop-flash?), and usb-connectors on port 3 and 4. Everything is running again after some major issues. The box is booting to xbmc 3.0 and I can watch movies and play games from HDD (I can not find my game-dvds). But since I can not remember what softmod is installed, or what bios is flashed I want to start over. I only want to keep my games from the HDD. My plans are as follows: backup games via FTP, backup eeprom, install a new softmod, NULL the hdd-code, ( I may want to upgrade the 160GB hdd at some point), rebuild the HDD from scratch, install the latest XBMC is this the best order? what are the best methods for doing so? what software do I need (Tool-DVDs ?)

I got a couple of VGA CRT monitors from a friend, and want to know what is the cheapest, an easiest option for VGA output on the Xbox? I know there exist tutorials for modifying an HDTV pack, but I am not very good with soldering, nor ready schematics. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
