  1. Has anyone else ever encountered a save file only working on one console? I have a Rayman 3 save that only seems to work on the 1GHz CPU, 128MB RAM console I got from N64freak, and I have no idea what's going on. I originally played the game on a softmodded 1.6, then ended up transferring the save to the upgraded 1.0 to continue playing on that console. After the PSU failed in the 1.0 and I managed to fix it, I wanted to back up the save in case it ever fails again on me. To my surprise, the save file doesn't want to work on either of the 3 Xboxes I tried it on, it only works on the 1.0, nothing else. When I try load the save from another console, I see this and it won't load: However, when I use the 1.0, it works as it should: I even tried copying the entire TDATA and UDATA folders from the 1.0 aside from the music, but I still got the same result. I have no idea what's going on. My only means of transferring saves is via FTP, but that worked when I transferred it to the 1.0, and works for all other games.
  2. Will pay good money for one let me know ok thanks
  3. Hi, I have just finished transferring the complete (or as close as possible, all NTSC and most PAL games) Xbox game collection to my 2TB X3 Xbox. I say complete but i am missing the "Club Football" games as there is about 20 of them and they are petty much all identical..... I will pick one club and put both of their games on but i haven't decided yet. I have about 26Gb of space left on my G drive which i am planning to use to go through the few Jap exclusives and add any that are actually playable without knowing Japanese Its taken me the best part of a week to FTP it all across doing as much as possible each evening, had a few issues along the way, such as overheating a couple of times and even had a catastrophic hardware failure which resulted in me having to butcher another xbox for its motherboard to get my beloved x3cp xbox back up and running!! I managed to fit all these games in to 2TB by using a combination of extracted folder games and ISO's. I used ISO for those games that have 1000's of files as all those small files dont play well with a 64k cluster size. The ISO's do actually take less space on the hard drive!! Im running the excellent XBMC4Gamers as my dash (Thanks Rocky5) This is a fantastic dash and has provided everything from full artwork for EVERY game, to being able to patch a BFM bios to play the ISO file games. This has bought my xbox back from being unused and stuffed away in the loft to sitting under the TV in the front room where it deserves to be.
  4. Hi All It took a bit but it's working the way I wanted. All hidden inside the case. I wanted to be able to retain the Original controller or plug in a wireless adapter for the Xbox360 wirless controller. Using Ryzee119's adapter and some switching and making use of the light gun wire I got it working. At this stage it is just the 1st port with the other ports untouched. The only small issue is the 5 second delay before the 360 controller will work after that the there doesn't appear to be any lag between the 2. The video clip should give you the idea of what I wanted. https://youtu.be/rVq23B0gLdU Cheers SS Dave
  5. I bought 10 used xboxes and I would love to resurrect them. Maybe you could help out as the most sites are down that contain proper information about the OGXBOX. First one tries to boot 2 times, the red/orange flashing. I soldered a Aladdin XT on it, the Modchip flashes red as well, but no change in behaviour ... Any ideas ?
  6. To be honest I'm just not sure If I should swap my softmoded MB to the halo edition or softmod them both. I honestly want to sell the MB but I donk know how to show its a Halo Edition on the /MB. ANY ideas ?
  7. I just softmodded my second Xbox but I’m having an interesting issue I didn't experience on the first. None of my demo discs will work. I tried a handful of Official Xbox Magazine demo discs. I also tried the “Exhibition Demo Disc”. My copy of Sega GT 2002/Jet Set Radio Future (which basically functions like a glorified demo disc) also appears to be affected. Trying to play any of these either directly from the DVD drive or from a ripped copy on the HDD causes XBCM to restart. It’ll act like it’s going to load for a few seconds and then it just reboots. I’ve tried dozens of other games in my collection and so far have had no issues. The problem seems to be isolated to my demo discs and copy of GT 2002/JSRF. I have used these problematic discs in my first softmodded Xbox with no issues. In fact, I have many hours logged in JSRF on my first Xbox. I should also mention that I used a different method for softmodding this time around. My first Xbox was softmodded a few years ago using SID. For my second Xbox (the problematic one), I used Rocky5's Xbox Softmodding Tool. The problematic console has a 1.4 motherboard. The working Xbox has a 1.0. I don't know if these points really matter, but I figure more information can't hurt. Any help is appreciated!

  12. Hi everybody, first time here in SO long. I've had a modded Xbox since 2003 which I just turned back on after I heard out about the clock capacitor problem. Mine was ok (I was able to remove it and clean up alright) but having it back on I've found the hard drive to be quite loud and maybe not running so great. I wanted to replace the hard drive but I'm not sure if my old Chameleon modchip throws a wrench into the tutorials I've been looking at. If possible the method of hotswapping the DVD drive with the new HDD and cloning the original drive seems easiest. Any suggestions before I start fumbling through this are very much appreciated! And I have all the stats on my current setup if needed. Thanks so much for the help!!
