Hi guys. I am proud to release first version of my app for streaming movies and tv shows on Original Xbox. How this started, how this works and all informations you can find on attached file in this post or there Stream Movies & TV Shows. In attached file you also have in-detail tutorial how to setup everything. Currently you have basic funcionalities, but I have a plan throughout a year to implement much more but I don't make any promises. There are three main tasks that I have to do before anything else, and that would be: Implement support for Subtitles. By that I mean building addon/script for OpenSubtitles API After implementing subtitles, a HUGE code refactoring and organization need to be done because currently this is a MESS that somehow works, especially frontend of PC API And after code refactoring, I need to implement better algorithm for searching Movies and TV Shows For TV Shows most newer series don't have problem, but old series (ex. from 2010) are packed in one torrent file which represents one season, and my current algorithm only search querys im format "name s0xe0x" which for old series return no results or return episode which have only couple seeders For Movies search works good, but sometimes it gives wrong result. I will fix this in same way that Elementum addon for Kodi does. Find resulsts by name, name + year, tmdb id and imdb id, remove duplicates and sort by seeders. This seems easy but it's not. And after everything said above is done then I will slowly try do add new funcionalities to the fronted (i.e. all HTTP comands of XBMC4Xbox) GITHUB From here you can download and find newer releases IMAGES Indroduction_Setup_Guide.pdf

Xbox2HDMI - Seamless HDMI Output for the Original Xbox!
electron-shepherd posted a topic in For Sale
Hello! After months of focusing primarily on the Nintendo Wii, the Electron Shepherd team has just released a new product that we are thrilled to share: the Xbox2HDMI module! This tiny, power-packed module takes in the Component video and digital audio output from the Original Xbox and outputs an HDMI signal with embedded Dolby Digital Surround Sound (if that audio setting is enabled in your Xbox’s settings). This module utilizes a fully custom PCB with a higher quality, next generation IC compared to what is typically used on the widely available Wii2HDMI and VGA2HDMI modules that are readily available online. If you are not happy with those modules, then you will absolutely be happy with these. This module efficiently supports the 480i, 720p, and 1080i resolutions that are default to the original Xbox. These units can be bought with ease on our store located here: https://electron-shepherd.com/xbox2hdmi/ Please let use know if you have any questions about this or any other product we currently offer! - Shane from Electron Shepherd LLC https://twitter.com/ElectronShep -

I believe I seen a Reddit post couple days ago by KaosEngineer touching on this topic the post was sometime back, I'm wondering if it's practical today to even attempt or even flash an pc optical drive. I am aware that you can of course get parts from other consoles.. I asked this out of curiosity as I lack the information and experience on the topic.

Hello guys. I'm happy to release new YouTube plugin for Original Xbox. Yes, it's now again possible to watch YouTube on this dated hardware. I'm using Invidious for fetching data from YouTube. Here is a video that shows this plugin in action. Some features of this plugin are: Trending Videos Popular Videos Searching Channel view Channel searching Subscribtions Import subscriptions from local YouTube account Suggested channels Suggested videos Limitations: Videos length - currently I don't understand how adaptive streams works and how to use them on Xbox. Because of that I'm using formated streams which means that whole video must be loaded in RAM memory. Because of that on Xboxes with 64MB RAM you can watch video of max 1 hour lenght and on 128MB RAM Xboxes videos of max 3 hours length. I hope I will fix this in the next release. Used of Gateway - OpenSSL 0.9.8 which is latest for our Xbox doesn't support newer versions of TLS encyption. Because there is no public Invidious instance that support older versions of TLS we must use simpe PC application that acts as a gateway between Xbox and Invidious. When I get time, I'll try to host my own Invidious instance that support older versions of TLS or even unencrypted HTTP. Keeping that in mind, when I host my own Invidious instance or someday someone host public instance that support older versions of TLS only one line in plugin code needs to be changed to remove dependence of PC Gateway. If you encouter any issues please open Issue at GitHub page. Video Preview Download Link Github Setup_Guide.pdf

I bought this Xbox new and rarely played it. It is not modded. I pulled it out a month or so ago and it wouldn't play. I had the drive professionally replaced. It worked for a while. Now it will not power up. I just want to see what I can get for it. Also included are two like-new controllers, power cable, composite cable, standard component cable, and upgraded TKS Custom component cable. The TKS cable is a huge upgrade! I'll take $95 (OBO) shipped in the lower 48 US states for all of it. It will be packed well and shipped UPS ground. PayPal only. Thanks guys. Like new controllers: TKS Custom component cable: Standard composite and component cables:

Took me 2 days to get all the wiring right. for the wii2hdmi for og xbox modd ... using a wii2hdmi device ordered off eBay you can also find an Alibaba and other places like this. Very inexpensive around 5 Canadian dollars. You're also going to need some sort of a donor Xbox RCA wires or component wires in order to pull this off. There is 11 connections total five of which are ground I do not suggest not adding all the ground cuz could cause interference. Had pretty good luck I made to both of them are crystal clear with no interference. I tested on version 1.0 as well as version 1.4 turned out very good. I tried to look up and down online for some sort of schematic nothing appeared. There was one picture that was in Spanish but it was misleading I tried to look into it to find out who the original inventor was found the person at XB Classics a Brazilian site. After conversating with him he told me that he had better pictures but he would not share. Then I noticed a site that they has linked where they were selling these to the equivalent of 40 US dollars a piece so that is the reason the images that they uploaded are just there to confuse people. So that they cannot make it. Does not include audio left or right. And apparently La stands for 5 V? Don't ask me but that's what the guy told me makes no sense at all. I spent two days getting the wiring correct. I documented everything and put it on a YouTube video (link2come) was trying to figure out the best way to make this readily available for everybody in the world any Xbox Enthusiast should have a low cost HDMI adapter solution available to them this is where these schematics come in. Again I didn't notice any interference at all. Just a little bit in the Bios when only running 480 but there's not much you can do unless you re Flash the BIOS to force. I've noticed people in the group posting pictures not even having soldering skills and getting very good results from this method. In theory you can use this exact same adapter in order to have an internal HDMI solution. These images are water marked because these are going to be the only good images that are online and I seen the way XB classic does their water mark and it really bugs me that they did that so I wanted to make sure that everyone knows where it came from. That being said I'm Mister James Reid really helped me out with this he volunteered his services in order to take my hard copy drawings that were on paper and make it look something presentable. Which he did and he did a great job thank you very much James I did in fact alter the images to have the watermark across them. Sorry about that but I figured since I put in the work I deserve to have my name on it. If you have any questions please do not hesitate I do not check this site every day but I do come in from time to time. Thanks again and I hope people online can use this receive money from the big corporations like pounds and hyperkin charging ridiculous amounts of money for something so cheap... I've also got a lot of questions recently about people asking if this is any better than component. It uses the component wires in order to transfer the signal into HDMI. I'm not too technical with that end but when looking up the chip number on the actual board for the Wii to HDMI adapter I did notice in there schematics and their breakdown for the actual board they did mention that the video board that does the decoding actually does video on hand splint what kind of video enhancement I have no idea. But it should be an enhancement over component if they are speaking the truth. Anyway gentleman without further delay here are the schematics. I hope this hope somebody somewhere. Thank you very much Frank

I seen very little of it floating around out there very curious if anyone has any information how to obtain one.... yes yes I know completely unnecessary but very fun to mess with. I've even toyed with the idea of taking the journey down the path of constructing my own.

A few of us at Steel Battalion Online OG Xbox community have put something together just in time for Insignia's beta launch. A relatively simple & cheap method to use modern gaming headsets with the OG Xbox Voice Chat Comm's. No hard mods necessary just a couple adapters from Amazon and you will be Golden. We've tested and with your modern headset you will get game audio, voice chat and microphone compatability all in the one headset like it should be. Full Guide can be found here with links to required hardware. https://www.reddit.com/r/steelbattaliononline/comments/yr9d7u/a_few_of_us_steel_battalion_players_have_figured/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Hello all! I've been tinkering around with my X3 OG Xbox to get it ready for Insignia, and the main issue I'm having is that every time I try to access the original MS Dashboard - I can hear the astronaut/space background sound, so I know it's *there*, but it's a black screen. I believe this has SOMETHING to do with the resolution my xbox is running in: I am using an XOSVP/component cable and the xbox is set to 480p/720p+1080i disabled. IIRC the MS Dashboard is... 480i? Could that be why I only get a black screen when trying to access the Xbox Live account settings? I managed to get it to appear after messing around with a bunch of settings and hauling a scart TV out and connecting it via a scart connector, but as this is a huge hassle, is there some way to access this dashboard without screwing up all my resolution settings? I see a "Modded Microsoft Dashboard 5960" available for download via XBMC4GAMERS but I'm afraid to download that in case it screws up xbmc4gamers. Anyone able to help please?

Hey all, I just got my own xbox original, and fixed a couple things including FRAG 50% Green 50% Red, and getting rid of the clock capacitors. The issue I'm running into now, is that the xbox will freeze in both the menu and while in-game. I opened up the motherboard, and found that the black wire for the gpu cooling fan is cut. Would this be the main issue for the freezing? EDIT: I disconnected the wire to see if there would be another FRAG, but nothing happened. EDIT 2: This is an unmodded, stock components, Rev 1.1 xbox original

Thank you everyone in advance for all the help. I was given an Xbox and it doens't work, showed error code 07, I assumed dead hard drive so I wanted to do a hard mod. I have an early revision Xbox, just installed the Aladdin XT hard mod with EvoX BIOS, the install was a success and I get the logo in the top left on boot, followed by an error code 07. I have tried a few different things as I know that is the result of a hard drive time out. I've tried multiple IDE hard drives, known good IDE cable, known good DVD drive, I've unplugged the hard drive data cable and it still shows error code 07. I have a Hexen 2020 disc at the ready burned using Windows built in tool. I have ordered a few things; IDE to SATA converter to test with a known good SATA drive, and 80 wire IDE cable. Please let me know what I should try next. I am starting to believe the hard drive is actually fine, because when I unplugged the data cable it did not switch to an error code 8. Thank you!

Hi, I currently own a complete in box original Xbox that is missing the foam. Everything else is still sealed in their small bags such as the cords and remote. All I'm looking for is the inner styrofoam that is used in the box. Thanks!

In theory it is possible that the OG Xbox supports more than 128MB of RAM ? As for example 4 chips of 500 MB would already be a total of 2GB of RAM

original xbox is 1080i or 1080p? because I've already tested photos in 1080p and used it as a screen saver until today, I've also tested 1080p video in .xmv format and opened it without crashing, apart from that when the 1080i resolution is activated it doesn't appear to be Interlaced and yes Progressive

Hi, I'm trying to repair my xbox v1.6 with a Delta 220v PSU because it doesn't power on at all(even the fan isn't spinning). Backstory: the xbox stopped working all of a sudden(it worked just the day before even with the leaked/bulging caps), so thinking that maybe the power and eject buttons got broken, I tried to turn it on by shorting the SW1 Eject or SW2 Power(I can't remember which) to GND according to this diagram of the front panel connector. I don't think this was a good idea since the xbox didn't turn on and I heard a small spark but I'm not totally sure. Now from the PSU, not plugged into the motherboard(so in stand-by I guess), I get a ~5v reading from the orange wires but 0.1v from the blue wire(which should be 3.3v even on stand-by according to this table) and ~0 volts from the other 3.3v and 12v rail as it should be. Moving on to the motherboard, after removing all the bad capacitors, I still get a short between the 5v rail and ground(measuring the pins of psu connector on the motherboard). I also tried measuring the caps under the CPU(starting from C2P1 to C2P17) and they're all shorted to ground. The caps C2E2 and C1E1 too. Also, measuring the VRM(?) FAN5059M I'm getting a short on the pins(apart from GND) 2_SW, 6_VID2, 8_VID0, 20_VFP. All this leds me to believe that the CPU is fried but I can't really wrap my head around how I could have done that, is there something I'm missing/misunderstanding? Hello Guys. I need some advice. I have a Xbox 1.4 with a windbond chip that I TSOPed a few years ago using a Hexen disk, I don't remember exactly the bios that was flashed, but when I turn on the xbox the evoX logo comes up, so I'm gonna guess my xbox has a m8 plus. The console works fine, but the fan is very noisy (it's a Sunon), so today I disassembled the xbox, replaced the thermal paste in both gpu and cpu (i've gained like 5 degrees), cleaned and oiled the fan and...it's still very very noisy and loud. So, I've been looking for a replacement fan, and found that people recommend the "Nexus 70mm Real Silent Case Fan". But, they also recommend to up the fan speed (to 40% I think) because by default, it won't cool the console as the stock fan does. To do that, ¿I should flash a new Bios right? the m8 plus using EVtools and selecting 40% fan speed? something like this: My DVD drive is dead, so I can't use Hexen, or the OGXBOX Installer, but I can FTP to the console. Any advice on flashing a windbond chip? Thank you so much for your time.

Hello guys, I've tried to search for that kind topic, but did not find any similar. As I recently got my og xbox (already modded), I am not very familiar with all the option of this mod. My main question is - Is it possible to change modded xbox dashboard skin to original green one (like from the factory)? But to keep all the modded xbox perks like 720p+ resolution, hdd saved games etc. Basically just change the look of dashboard, cuz i dont really like that modded look

Was doing a clear out and find an board under my desk that still boots but I'm missing the original HDD. I tried all the HDD's I got but they all gave error code 6 which I understands the board was unable to unlock the HDD. I've Aladding XT and Open xenium chips, can I install either to get around the HDD and flash the tsop or its never gonna happen without the orignal HDD?
