  1. Thoughts? Looks very interesting https://makemhz.com/blogs/news/announcing-project-stellar-plus-more
  2. Sigh.... I feel like such a hypocrite... To be fair, I tried to order the HD+ only so I could use it with the stm32 module since I thought that would be another cool project to try. Apparently I also ordered a Stellar. I was like, ah CHRIST! Now I have to install it! So here goes. It's going in a 1.4 128MB Halo Edition console.
  3. Bahahahahahaaaaa..... What an absolute joke, no wait it's not April... Now he's charging $25usd/$39aud for a cut down STM32 addon board.
  4. Here you get a shit load of pre patched EvoX files. 144 EvoX bios'es in total. These files are for 128MB XBox'es version 1.0-1.4 and 1.6/1.6b. Note: YD = yesDVD and ND = noDVD*. (*Yes you can still boot/cold boot any DVD you like with it!) All these files are also packed as bios.rar files using winrar 3.0. So you could unpack these with UnleashX etc.. (Only of interest if you go to use these of an installer). That lead me to one thing. If you are one of the last ones who creates installer, feel free to use these files on your disc. ******************************************************************************* Credits and a HUGE thanks for the patches fly out to: MakeMHz and Gaasedelen. And also a HUGE thanks to Donnie-Burger for testing. ******************************************************************************* And don't forget to suppport the Devs! 5. Hi everyone, i'm workin on my xbox to install MakeMhz Hdmi. I have 2 questions for you: 1st I've flashed my Bios with M8.CEC.FG.evoxdash.512 and M8.CEC.FG.UX.512 (the prepatched EvoX m8+ Bioses for makemhz) as You can see ,using evox dash they both giving me "Bios Unknow" , is that normal ? also when i load them in evtool they cannot be edited (unsupported kernel..) 2nd i have a 2tb disk with 2 900 gb partitions , if i will decide to edit m8 untouched bios , which is the right choice to choose for the LBA48 support and partition table ? thanks !!
  6. Hey folks It has been some time since I last posted. Hope you're doing well... What have you been up to? I recently preordered the new version of the HDMI+ mod from MakeMhz which will arrive in july and i wanted to upgrade one of my my existing xboxes with it. Since I'm going to solder anyway and i got some RAM chips laying around, i thought about upgrading the RAM as well. In this regard, i was wondering if there is a BIOS that supports both (HDMI and 128MB RAM). Is the MakeMHz-BIOS taking advantage of 128MB RAM? Does somebody have some experince with this? Thanks in advance for you thoughts! Greetings Bot
  7. Hey everyone! Not new to the OG Xbox scene, but am new to using OpenXenium chips. I’ve just done an install on my Crystal 1.6 - rebuilt LPC with a Chimeric Systems QSB - and everything is working fine. However, I’m trying to update to the “unofficial” MakeMHz XeniumOS to address the “lines” issue when using component out on a 1.6. When I attempt to use the MakeMHz updater tool, it throws back the error: ”Unknown XeniumOS Detected” The supplier that I got my chip from seems to have loaded the XeniumGold OS 2.3.1 - as when I boot into XeniumOS I have a “Xenium 24k Gold” skin. How would I go about reinstalling XeniumOS 2.3.1 (as per the recommendation on the MakeMHz GitHub) so that I can update to 2.3.5? I’m sure this is a stupid/noob question - but just wanted to be sure so I don’t brick/soft brick the chip. Thanks for the help!
  8. OK, I had a lot of trouble getting the AV port out of my v1.6 XBox. The solder pump I was using removed the traces on the underside of the board. Traces on the top are fine so I am able to tap the SPDIF and 5V. However, on the bottom, I tried using bodge wires soldered directly to the resistors going to pins 11, 12 and 13. My work so far has unfortunately been messy at best and I am getting flashing orange when starting the XBox so I am pretty sure it is my bodge work that is the issue. Does anyone know if there is a better way to short pins 11/12 and 13/14 elsewhere if my AV port through holes are toast? Reference picture of pins below... http://i.imgur.com/pyjq4y6.jpg BTW, the specific behavior I am seeing is I get a green light on the Xbox initially. The HD+ blue light blinks slowly (about every 3 seconds on 3 seconds off). After 10 or so seconds the Xbox flashes orange and needs to be unplugged to turn off. I did check the ribbon cable installation a couple of times. I checked for bridged connections. I also checked that I got continuity all the way from the ribbon far edge to the opposite side of the resistor that the trace was soldered to. So I believe the cable is soldered correctly (I'm sure, however, I could be proven wrong). I also tried checking continuity from by bodges to the other side of each resistor and had mixed results. I checked my soldering and it appears to be good. Not sure if maybe I fried the resistors if that is possible. Maybe I need to jump across the resistor (not sure if they do anything when pins 11/12 and 13/14 are bridged).
  9. Hi everyone, I'm new here. Long story short. I'm trying to install MakeMhz XboxHD+ Hdmi Mod to my Xbox with 1.6v motherboard and 2TB HDD. I'm stuck with BIOS patching. Patched BIOS gives coma Console issue. All I get is steady green light on Xbox and black screen. All patching was done following official MakeMhz guide with EvTool 1.0.9 and correct ips file. Unpatched BIOS works just fine. I'm using Evox M8+ 16 Bios with OpenXenium modchip. Can't figure out what I'm missing. Tried different Bios'es. Also tried Using my old Aladdin Chip with same result. After patch is applied and flashed, I'm getting coma console. Also EvTool 1.0.9 won't recognize patched BIOS, gives me Unsupported kernel error. BIOS that I've tried to use, MD5 Checksum matches (as per MakeMhz website). Any help would be much appreciated. As I've been trying to work it out for two weeks now.
