  1. Add some solder to the pads on the far end that are not making a good connection. Doing so will raise the contact point so the pogo pin can make a better connection to them.
  2. You may have a modded MSDashboard installed instead of the original. Where does XBMC run your MSDash from on the hard drive?
  3. To solve the FRAG problem, I suggest reseating the solderless adapter. It may not be making a good connection to all of the pins of the LPC debug port to load the BIOS from the modchip.
  4. The spring wire from the solderless adapter goes in the D0 via for your motherboard version. Find it in this manual: http://web.archive.org/web/20051123224643/http://www.teamxodus.com/pictures/Manuals/Locating the LPC & d0 point.pdf Solderless Installation manual: http://web.archive.org/web/20051125214254/http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/~xbox/xbox-scene/tutorials/xenium-s-adaptor.pdf Archived pictures of the Xenium modchip: http://web.archive.org/web/20051214001936/http://www.xbox-scene.com/modchips/xenium_pictures.html More information can be found in the links of the archived xbox-scene.com 4th Generation modchip table: http://web.archive.org/web/20051103024717/http://www.xbox-scene.com/modchips4_table.htm
  5. Linux has its own drivers to set the configuration of the Xbox's hardware. It must be (re-)setting the speed to the original value of UDMA2.
  6. Have games shown up in the Games menu before you uploaded a lot more of them to the hard drive? If so, what changed? Where do you find the default.xbe file for games installed on your hard drive? Generally, UnleashX is configured to scan for them in E:\Games, F:\Games, and G:\Games. Are your games' files in F:\Games\<subfolder name>\ or F:\Games\<subfolder name>\<subfolder name>\? Edit: Reworded content.
  7. What size are the extended partitions 6 and 7? What cluster size are they using?
  8. I have no idea. I believe some BIOS flashing software includes a checksum test to make sure that the BIOS in the executable is not corrupt. You would have to know how the program works and change that value to match the BIOS data you replace inside of the executable.
  9. I don't know about the Xbox One. This forum is for the original Xbox released in 2001. However, I suspect that an Xbox One will not boot without the hard drive connected.
  10. Take a look at the following web page: Serial ATA Bus Pin out [SATA], SATA Pinout, SATA Signal names (interfacebus.com)
  11. The CQC commercial grade version with an operating temp range of 0° to +70° C can be replaced with the CQI Industrial grade version with an operating temp range of -40° C to +85° C. MX29LV040CQI-70G Macronix | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | DigiKey
  12. MX29LV040CQC-70G Datasheet(PDF) - Macronix International (alldatasheet.com)
  13. SST39SF040 | Microchip Technology Not discontinued. It is a parallel program flash memory chip, not an LPC (low pin count) interface device as the SST49LFxxx series are.
  14. The XGecu T56 does require an adapter - PLCC32 socket to DIP32. Your ADP-005 should work but I don't have either of these items to know if they will work together. Edit: Oh, the MiniPro TL866 and other models look like clones of XGecu's programmers. So, they too require a PLCC32 to DIP32 adapter. Edit2: Is MiniPro a different brand or just part of the name for XGecu's programmer? The TL866 and TL866ii plus are older releases of their programmers. T48 and T56 are their latest programmers. See: http://autoelectric.cn/EN/TL866_main.html
  15. The Nano USB Programmer listed on eBay does not require a special adapter. It is made to program LPC flash memory chips. NANO USB Programmer for PC M/B BIOS repairing with Economic shipping. | eBay
  16. There's no easy conversion. Look at the MCUmall Electronics Inc. - ADP-030 adapter. Edit: I suspect that the programmer's power supply level to the chip, Vdd, is 5Vdc, not 3.3Vdc that the SST49LF080A chip requires. Your SST49LF080A may be dead from supplying the wrong voltage level to it. They don't give details of the circuitry on the adapter.
  17. Here's the pinout of the SST49LF080A flash memory chip. Use a multimeter to test for continuity from each pin to the same numbered DIP pin on the bottom of the ADP-005 adapter.
  18. Share the content of the xbmc.log file? Changing the debugging level will help too. Find the advancedsettings.xml file (It will be located in <XBMC4Gamers' install path>/system/UserData/) in the installation folder and add the following line to it: <loglevel hide="false">2</loglevel> The format of the file is as follows: <advancedsettings> <setting>value</setting> ... <setting>value</setting> </advancedsettings> Adding the above setting line to the file will write debugging information to the xbmc.log file. See UserData/advancedsettings.xml - XBMC4Xbox for additional information.
  19. I don't believe so.
  20. Did you change the HDDKey to all 1's before or after you signed up with Insignia?
  21. You mention that the app is in the root of the C drive. C:\ is not C:\xboxhd. So is the XboxHD+ app's default.xbe file and other extracted content of the latest ZIP archive - xboxhd_2_1_10.zip, in C:\, C:\xboxhd\ or C:\xboxhd_2_1_10\?
  22. No, not with the soldering skills you currently have. Get another Xbox. Set this one aside.
  23. How many calls are made to these two subroutines? I don't think there is an equivalent operation available with a GPU that supports DirectX 8. It is a hardware operation supported only on GPUs that support version 9 or later.
  24. Another BUG in UnleashX. You can edit the XBE file's Title in a hex editor - not the easiest. Or, with the PC app - XBE Renamer. It can edit the Title in default.xbe files on the PC or Xbox via an FTP connection.
