  1. I believe GoTeamScotch is well acquainted with TL Gamer's "unique perspectives".
  2. This was nice, but TL Gamer's trail of unhinged, mentally ill rants on the XBMX4Xbox forums are ~~~chef's kiss~~~ legendary . He's actually deleted and taken down much of his online sperg-outs. If you didn't know any better, you'd think he was doing some elaborate troll job. But shockingly, he really is like that.
  3. If you're going to test caps, they shouldn't be soldered to the motherboard.
  4. Color me skeptical that two 80mm fans blowing down on one section of the motherboard...and then being exhausted out the back by a tiny 60mm fan....doesn't sound like two raccoons fighting over pizza crusts in a metal garbage bin.
  5. The voltage drop is on the motherboard side. I would check the capacitors.
  6. That would be my choice.
  7. Not sure what your goal was in removing all those components....
  8. Post of picture of the motherboard.
  9. Buy a USB 3.5" hard drive enclosure. It's useful for a lot of things. If you buy a two-bay enclosure, you can easily clone drives.
  10. I doubt that. Although too much thermal paste isn't a good idea, the clamping pressure of the heatsink retention clip should force most of the paste away from the die.
  11. He should buy one of your tricked-out XBOX's (with a flashed Aladdin XT).
  12. I have 80pin cables with all holes open. But all PATA devices have the tab and the missing pin. It's so that you can key the cable in without putting it on upside down accidentally.
  13. No, they don't. Are you looking at a SCSI cable or something else?
  14. These were built with the understand that their use would be primarily in PC's, where you would have full channel configuration available through the BIOS.
  15. Some do. Some don't. With the cheaper adapters, you're playing the lottery. If you find something that works and you're happy with it, stick with that.
  16. That might be a problem. Also, Slayer's is horribly out of date. Use Hexen's or OGXBOX Installer instead.
  17. Nice. Unfortunately it's not the 8160B like the one I have.
  18. Yeah....some pics would help.
  19. I'm sorry, it's not clear. Where are you getting your 3.3v from?
