  1. Ah yeh...although games play without issue other than the FMV parts. What's strange is that it plays the synopsis video previews without issue.
  2. Yeh, it's an over 20 years' old console so, do caps go bad with age or with use? Could they be bad but look fine?
  3. I have a 1.4 with a flashed TSOP on Cerbios running XBMC4Gamers. First symptom I noticed was a half-second complete video and sound blackout every so often which wasn't too intrusive, but I had other boxes to play on, so never thought too much about it until now when I've started using this box again. I'm not getting the half-second drop-outs like before but what I am getting is really stuttery FMV playback. It's a bit weird in that it plays game preview videos OK, but once I start a game, any video sequence playback is all stuttery - like a record skipping every second or two. The gameplay itself is flawless. I swapped the HDD into another system and it played fine while the other system HDD had the same issue in the problem box. When I got this particular system it looked almost like brand new - and still does, and looking at all the caps, they look in pristine condition. Does choppy video playback point to anything in particular to anyone?
  4. hmm...at the time think I tried it on a second box and was getting the same error(?)...will revisit it again. EDIT: Although now as I think about it the second box drive was a copy of the first... What are the chances of getting PCSXBOX v25 available from the XBMC4Gamers downloader?
  5. Ah I reinstalled the dashboard before you replied. Issue is easy enough to reproduce - just delete the MyPrograms6.db file and reboot.
  6. I have 'Tenchu: Return From Darkness' installed without issue with all artwork, it's 'Tenchu 3 - Kaiki No Shou (Jpn)' I'm having issue with as it's not listed in the artwork installer. What files are in your game _resources/artwork folder MadMartigan? Maybe something to to with your View Settings?
  7. n an effort to clear all my played counters, I deleted file /Q/system/UserData/Profiles/<Profile Name>/Database/MyPrograms6.db On backing out of file manager to the home screen XBMC scanned all my items again and eventually everything was showing zero play with no recents on my home screen. All was good until I had to go into an emulator for something and when I deleted the same file again I decided to reboot the system this time so XBMC would do a rebuild on boot up, but instead the home screen fails to load and displays an error - Script failed! : Home Screen Items.py. . Is there a way for me to repair my XBMC4Gamers dash?
  8. How difficult would it to be to have the artwork slideshow on the Homescreen - when Root is highlighted, carry over to after 'Root' has been selected so it would be a background for the root folders?
  9. That's fantastic. Will try it later. I'm wondering is it possible to apply artwork to the root folders e.g Applications, Demos etc?
  10. Thanks yes, that worked. Got all my apps with art now as well so looking much better. I have two games that still have no art Ex-Chaser and Tenchu 3.
  11. Thanks for the great work! I'm after installing the Ninja _resources folder contents and it's coming up with 'No information' for a title ID and the video preview is all choppy. Not sure what's going on with the preview video especially as it played OK from the download folder.
  12. Looking at this again as I recently replaced the stock fan with a quieter one, but even with faster speeds my temps are still higher. It's a 70mm fan but looks to be only half the thickness of the stock fan so presumably the stock is shifting way more air per revolution. My temps were creeping over 60 with it so I've ended reverting back to the original that keeps temps mid 50s and below. Is there any better performing quiet fan than the original?
  13. Thanks for the help. Yeh that's a real pity about sweetdarkdestiny...hope he rethinks, seems he was in a real pissy mood...it's possible some of what was said got lost in translation and he took offence when none was meant. I'm getting the error 21 as soon as I try and launch xblast either from the bios menus of the TSOP flasher or launching it manually from file explorer. I've revisited the Cerbios BFM disc and have found that the 1.4 system won't recognise the disc no matter what DVD drive I try, and yet if I put it in my softmodded 1.6 in the same DVD drive, I can launch the disc no problem from the softmod menu - which has me thinking now of softmodding the 1.4 and see if I can get the BFM to work then. What's the downside of softmodding first?
  14. And if my solder points are bad?... As it is I renamed the 'Cerbios Hybrid V2.3.1 BETA.bin' to Bios.bin and replaced the 1.02 Cerbios file that was orignially in the the Cerbios folder of Dark's TSOP flasher with it so it would flash the latest version, but once I got the message it was about to load xblast, I got a black screen and then an error 21. If solder points are bad surely the chip can't be written to and the flash will just fail? - or maybe that's what I'm describing above...ugh Not sure if my points are bad or if it's the case of me replacing the bios file in the flasher messed with something else as the flasher I was using was written for the 1.02 Cerbios that wasn't for 1.4s like I was trying. Has anyone got a copy of the latest flasher with the latest Cerbios in it? I tried the BFM disc as well but for some reason the xbox isn't reading it now no matter what DVD drive I put in it - and it's strange as I can't get any of the drives to read any of the discs I'd burned and were loading perfectly OK on other systems using the same DVD drives.
