  1. THIS. This is why Dark left the first time. Why can’t I just make a suggestion or ask the OP a question without you having some sort of comment either defending why your suggestion is the correct one or passive aggressively telling another member that they don’t know what they’re talking about? There is no point is such comments. I’m fully aware of multiple possibilities of why his picture may be messed up. If cleaning the ports out fixes the issue then that’s terrific. So I ask nicely, can you please stop stepping in front of other peoples suggestions? This is a public forum for everyone to post and this type of elitism makes even old users not want to stick round. We don’t need any gatekeepers
  2. What region are you in? I know it's your old xbox but I'm curious if maybe you've moved or changed regions. Reason being is running a PAL xbox on an NTSC TV can also output in black and white.
  3. Understood. I still should point out that the Wii2HDMI is very much a viable option for internal HDMI.
  4. I haven't even tried again. Got busy with work and xbox orders. I will give it a shot over the weekend. Week days are nuts
  5. What exactly is flashing? The eject ring on the front panel or the LED on the mod chip?
  6. This isn't entirely true. There are many hdmi adapter solutions available. Best ones are currently Chimeric, Electron Shepherd, and wii2hdmi can be installed internally. This is just to list a few. Saying there are none is insane.
  7. All of them. Looking for info on any and all.
  8. I used the Mega link. I'm going to try to re-download and burn again. The others iso files burned and worked fine. Being on mobile makes navigating this place a little tough and I lost track of everything. Crazy that it was this thread lol
  9. Yeah for sure. Basically just a bandaid until a new belt arrives.
  10. Sometimes you can boil the belts for a few minutes to restore.some of their shape. After this long however, it's only a temporary fix for those things. They tend to get dry rot and stay oblong
  11. From the link you provided here https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12277-ogxbox-installer-cerbios-edition/&do=findComment&comment=61927
  12. Is anyone else having an issue with the Extras Disc not working? Ive burned it twice and it is recognized, but will not load at all. Im just curious to see whats on it.
  13. It all depends on what your intentions are. Do you want to run Emulators, xbox games, or both.
  14. Can you share what all you did? I’m desperately looking everywhere on info the convert the other way around (220-110). All I’m getting is dead ends.
  15. I would never trust buying something from one of those apps. Good to see a success story tho.
  16. Bump. I’ve reached out to @SS_Dave earlier in the week but no reply. From all my digging and asking around, he’s the only one that seems to have info on converting my 220v PSUs to 110v. Does anyone else have more information on this topic? I’ve posted in multiple places and reached out to many people. Nobody has any information on this other than this picture posted by SS_Dave some time ago. I’m amazed at the lack of information on this subject, after all these years. https://imgur.com/a/FLD6s4k
  17. I wish Don’t question it. Right after I bought this one, another guy sent me an offer for $218. Had to get this one with matching controller and extras. It was a steal
  18. After years of patience and stalking eBay, my grail has been acquired. Now to get with @NeMesiS and pimp this baby out.
  19. You can’t go wrong with the drill attachment that I use. It’s a perfect cut and leaves a very small lip for the jewel to sit back on.
  20. Dremels can be very handy if you're cutting the case. I've done any major cutting that requires one in the longest time. My first jewel mod was with one. Now I use a 2-1/2" wood hole cutter that's attached to a drill bit. Makes it so much quicker and cleaner.
  21. The top part is tougher than the bottom. I just use a small flathead screwdriver to pry up the metal tabs that are gripping the screw holes. Most ppl, including myself, just throw those away afterward. So it's your choice to be very careful or just pop it off. The bottom will just come right out once everything is removed.
  22. As the title states, it’s time to get some updated tips on case modding. Im currently looking for newer/cleaner methods of reattaching jewels after clearing them. With all of the new products being available and unexpected uses for others, I’m extremely interested in hearing what you all do and how. I’ve shared a few of my methods here and there, so share some that you think are helpful. Share anything about LED mods, Painting, and so on.
  23. Act like you’ve never held a spray can in your life, and give a piece of scrap a good coat at a close distance. You will almost immediately see the bad results with that stuff. If you can’t tell, I had to learn the hard way. Sanding an Xbox down multiple times is a major pain so I’m just trying to save you the headache. I’ve had enough frustration for the both of us. Edit before even posting: I’m lazy and don’t want to correct that paragraph. It immediately hit me that I only sanded it down once. Had my buddy sandblast one coat off, which look ruined until that paint hit it.
  24. If you’ve never used chrome or silver spray paint, be very careful not to overcoat it. Highly recommend doing very light coats at 12” or more away from the surface. You’ll regret it if not done slowly and several light coats. Otherwise it will most likely get the orange peel crackling and you’ll have to sand it down and start again. Silver and chrome are the worst
