  1. Just be careful. Most of those adapters are cheaply made and the connector snap off very easily.
  2. Remove the jumper from the HDD all together if you haven’t already. Then on the ide to sata adapter the jumper needs to be on the bottom two pegs. There should only be three pegs. This will put it into slave for cloning or whatever you need to do. When you’re done, if it works, put the jumper back on the top two pegs. Have you tried it this way?
  3. Seems you may be better off just backing everything up on your PC and reformatting everything correctly. This not only may fix whatever problem you’re having now but undoubtedly would prevent some future issues as well as gaining the unallocated space.
  4. Kaos will get you sorted I'm sure.
  5. Gotcha. Then yeah someone else will have to chime in with a fix for the patch files. I don’t get into that stuff. If it was from the archive then it could’ve possibly just been a bad FTP transfer.
  6. Ok and you installed the game directly from the original game disc?
  7. I would go with Hexen 2021, but if your drive doesn’t open then you’d have to insert it manually, assuming the drive still works. Link
  8. Doesn’t seem that the extra RAM will help gameplay of OG games. It’s typically more for home brew, dashboards, etc.
  9. Where did you get your copy of the game and how did you get it on your Xbox?
  10. Come on guys it’s not my Xbox and I’m not putting a chip in this for him. I just want a bit of help trying to get this issue sorted. Can we move on from the flaming portion of tonight’s show and get back to helping?
  11. To answer that simply, it's not my Xbox.
  12. Sorry I had to read your question again. Currently it is on default. Guessing it needs to be on F and G? I forgot how spoiled I am from tsop and chips. I don’t honestly recall the last time I upgraded the HDD on a softmod
  13. Not sure what you want to know about the NKPatcher. I haven’t gone into that at all, but can provide a screenshot of what you want. It’s a 1.6 and I soft modded it with Rocky5 before installing the 160GB with Chimp. I changed the partitions to what is shown in picture #2. As stated earlier, I started reinstalling the games with the roms that were failing; first. Nothing wrong with the roms, they installed fine. However, once again I got to around 100GB of installed files, same problem. After there is about 20GB left on F: it won’t let me add anything else. I haven’t attempted to add anything to the extra 25 gigs on G: yet.
  14. It’s Rocky5 soft mod. I went ahead and formatted as shown in the second pic. In the process of reinstalling all the games and will see if this has fixed the issue. Also switched to FTP through crossover cable to cut out the WiFi factor and hopefully less chance of transfer failures.
  15. Soft modded 1.6. Cloned it with Chimp. First picture was how it was originally formatted. Second picture is how I reformatted last night. Since redoing the partitions and adding G, I tried one of the games that was continuously failing and it transferred successfully. All in all there was a total of 104GB of files when it started to fail while on the single 145GB partition. I’ll attempt to add the rest of the files after work and see how it goes. Before I go any further, should I just split the 160GB evenly onto F and G?
  16. You won’t notice any difference in most games. The menus however will run quicker and smoother
  17. I’ve been filling up a 160GB HDD for a buddy with the normal .7z files(extracted of course) from the archive and after about 38 games, FileZilla is just refusing to fully transfer anything else. HDD has around 20GB left so I’m pretty sure space isn’t an issue. Any ideas/suggestions? FYI same result using flashfxp. It will start a queue and sometimes transfer half of the files and then just quit and the rest fail. Upon noticing this ftp problem, now I can’t delete the last two transfers from the Xbox. I’ve done it within the consoles file system and from FileZilla. They won’t budge. I’ve rescanned manually, cleared the cache, and rebooted several times. Hoping one of you has had this happen before. It’s a first for me.
  18. I’ll see if I can help with getting your Roms running in your thread.
  19. Yea it only includes the basic console emulators. The others can all be downloaded the same way through the downloader. Same with the theme I have. It’s just the XBMC theme, there are also some other cool ones and they download quickly. There might be some games for you in there as well. I have not checked. As for the games not running properly, they’re probably either bad downloads or just haven’t configured a setting. To configure each emulator’s settings, I believe you hold Y or Y+Up while you’re on one of the emulators tabs. Don’t go into the emulator, just scroll to it and try that. But be sure to remember where the settings are before you change them. I’ll see if I can find a reputable supplier of Roms for you. Maybe someone else will chime in.
  20. Emustation comes with built in emulators. Just load your snes Roms into the E:XBMC-Emustation/Roms/SNES folder. Then on the main dash, press start and manual scan for snes games. Then you’ll have an added home icon for the emulator. Edit: Of course use the F: partition as opposed to the E: I suggested, if that’s how it’s set up.
  21. I see. That’s one of the two main reasons I don’t like that dash. Emustation has everything perfectly organized for you straight out of the gate. Just put the files where they need to go, yada yada. I’ll tinker around with a fresh mod later and see if I can shine some more light on it.
  22. Did you make that Emus folder or was it already there? I could be way off but I’m thinking you need to actually install xbmc4gamers into the F: partition and then put the Roms into the correct folder within.
  23. Then maybe you’re not putting the Roms into the correct folders. can you post a pic of the files you’re transferring within file manager?
