  1. Are you saying you recently picked it up or already had it? You have 200 games already installed and working on the HDD? (If so, do they all still work after attempting to install the newer set?) Are you referring to the orange LED around the power button on the front panel? (It will stay orange for soft mods) Is the HDD old? As much detailed info as you can provide will really help to get things sorted quicker.
  2. I know you mentioned not having the time, but it is worth noting that Fatxplorer can transfer data quite fast. Depending on your computer, 500GB won’t take as long as you probably think. Of course this is only an option if you have direct HDD to pc connection and don’t mind unlocking the HDD for a short period. Other than that, HDShadow has already covered your options.
  3. From the pic, it looks like he has soldered the solderless adapter to the chip itself.
  4. I’m wondering if you’re possibly pinching wires somewhere when you put the lid on and adding pressure. Maybe under the HDD where the PSU and controller port cables are all crammed in.
  5. Thank you for the smooth transaction. I do hope you enjoy.
  6. Update: Both sets have sold. Here’s what’s left…
  7. The last 3-4 comments you’ve had in threads besides your own, have basically been asking the OP why they don’t just fix their problem. They are here for assistance on said problems just like you are in your threads. Please don’t ridicule people and post comments that are not an attempt at adding to the solution. I’m sorry if I seem rude, I am not trying to be in saying this, but that is not a good pattern to see in comments.
  8. The faceplates and disc bezel are the only pieces in blue available. Same for the green combo. I’ve picked these all up along the way.
  9. Mostly, it’s complete consoles of various types for sale. The case parts as shown, and just random cables as far as spare parts like a ton of stock IDE cables from changing out HDDs. Is there a particular part you’re looking for?
  10. Guy wanting the blue and green sets has disappeared. They're up for grabs now for anyone interested. I can post an updated list if needed. Not getting many hits so I'm not going to do so quite yet. Feel free to send inquiries and requests.
  11. Bad capacitors are not a “minor” thing though. It’s only a matter of time before the caps bust and we all should know by now where that ends. Look at the way they are bulging already. Using the console will do nothing but speed that process up. I do totally agree that it’s time to change them all out and not just those 3.
  12. This is what you will see when all points are connected properly.
  13. I believe that means that your solder points are not properly connected. If they were, you would get another message about (TSOP?)
  14. Dustin said it was in the works as far as 128mb support. Didn’t ask about 16TB.
  15. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT delete anything else until one of the wizards shows up.
  16. If I don’t get a response very soon, everything will be available except for one of the crystal case bottoms. Edit: the crystal 1.0-1.4 bottom is spoken for. The one left is for 1.6 Xbox. I may have one more available for 1.6 soon.
  17. A deal is in the works for the green faceplate/bezel and one of the blue faceplates/bezel. What were you interested in?
  18. Excellent news. Glad you got the first one up and running smoothly.
  19. For us normal folk, what does this part mean? Was that something you’ve done to your chip or do certain ones come this way? I’m tryin to wrap my head around your findings so far.
  20. Extremely interested in getting one of these for the right price. Let’s hope the retail cost doesn’t hurt our feelings.
  21. Fingers crossed for good results.
  22. You can clone it directly from the Xbox using the application called Chimp. This will require an ide to sata converter, a y-splitter molex cable to power both drives, and then an 80wire 40 pin ide cable for running the SSD afterward. Alternatively you can plug your current HDD into your computer and make a backup of it using FatXplorer or the more difficult to use program Xplorer360. Pretty sure both programs will require your HDD to be unlocked in order to mount. I’m probably missing something so if someone else catches it, please correct me.
