  2. Sorry, @fox That should have said “you can always go up a bit in voltage”.
  3. yes, it's a last ditch effort. After all my troubleshooting I reflowed everything in this area and the same area underneath the board, which is the portion that got flexed. It was certainly at least one of those components with a broken joint. It's something to bear in mind when/if you have this problem.
  4. Thanks , I’ll reflow one more time and if it still isn’t detected I’ll remove and order some other replacement chips , will reach out to you for seller’s details should I need it . Reason I asked is I was also thinking maybe these were just a bad batch or DOA as you said .
  5. If that's the case, then I've been lucky. I've had A/V snags all the time when removing the mobo, especially during RAM installs.
  6. Yes... it would frag. I have like, 75 chips from Ali, and they are working great, actually... maybe yours are just DOA, or fake?
  7. I’ll definitely take a look at them. I could certainly see that being possible. They are old and something could need a reflow especially after I took it in and out a few times. Thanks for the idea. I’m willing to try anything at the moment haha
  8. Have you tried using or are you using Cerbios UDMA6 with it ?
  9. I got them off AliExpress mid last year in a pack of 10 , installed it in December and just been using it as 64mb as it’s not affecting anything . If the soldering isn’t correct shouldn’t the console frag on boot as it did previously before the reflow ?
  10. Those are the proper model number. Where were they sourced from? @L2000

  12. This sounds similar to a problem with my xbox a couple years back. When you were tilting the mainboard to remove it from the case, did the audio-video port get snagged on the port hole and flex the board at all? With my board the problem was a bad joint or joints around the port. Just throwing this idea out there.
  13. Download the mod here https://mega.nz/file/NF1wmKxI#kLS6ZYzS5mC4uBJbtux3ulmwGcaebdWksYaYKg6Ys08 All credit goes to VilifiedOne on Youtube.
  14. Hi all , just wanted to find out by those in the know if these ram modules are compatible for the 128 mb upgrade . I’ve installed all four , failed on all four . Touched up all joints with soldering iron , got the three reboots and Xbox wouldn’t power on , reflowed with hot air station and Xbox goes back to booting as if there’s no extra ram attached . I then replaced one of the ram modules to see if blast would detect it and still nothing . I have no issues accessing Xbox dash or Cerbios flashed Aladdin booting XBMC4Gamers .
  15. That's the older version of the adapter, the newer ones are missing several components on them. I guess they are cheaping out on the production quality now.
  16. So in the last hour and a half or so I has gotten to 51% three times in a row and then reset. It flies through everything up to that point as all has previously been scanned and/or archived and then stops briefly, starts to upload a file from E:\DEMOS and then resets. Hasn't even finished scanning E drive by that point. It is a 6tb drive and has a lot of content on it. I did get as far as 70% once earlier on today. I have been running the app since 9:30 this morning and its now 6:15pm as I write this. Powered off now and will try again in the morning.
  17. LOL, I take it you went and found it now then
  18. Ok thanks for the reply. The only other issue I seem to keep having is "Network Error detected, please restart XCAT" but it seems to continue uploading files after that notice has appeared.
  19. Heh, true. I was kinda joking about the thread being old.
  20. ...... Well damn. I assumed the OP had looked... I am ashamed of myself. @nikeymikey
  21. This is all expected behavior. If XCAT is about to run out of memory to prevent a crash it restarts itself. It will start the hashing again from scratch every session but will only upload files it has not hashed and reported on previously. It will not "rearchive" any files again. Once a file is uploaded to completion one time it will never be uploaded again by any user in any session. Every session is unique including restarts while running. XCAT has no way of knowing if you FTPd in content from another console or otherwise put a bunch of new files on the drive unless it scans the drive again. If a file has never been seen previously XCAT will also list the same file twice per scan, once when hashing it, and once when uploading it.
  22. my adapter has it, interesting
  23. I have it if you want it....
  24. Did you even try googling "StarCraft ghost archive"? Because it's the first damn result
  25. @Harcroft Question regarding v1.02.. Is it supposed to reset all counts back to zero and start again? Mine was at 19% and about 5000 files indexed, then the next time i looked it was back down to 5% and the bottom three counters were al back to zero? Edit- After quickly scanning through again back up to 21% (I presume this is where it reset previously) It has just reset a second time. However this time it seems to be re-archiving everything it did when I first ran the xbe today as if it hadn't run before?? Thanks to the new feature of listing the files as it goes I can see that it is scanning and archiving the exact same files it did first time around.... Edit2- The app has just reset again at 21%. It had uploaded 60Mb of data. I have closed app down and restarted console before trying again. Will update post if it restarts again. Edit3- Made it to 51% this time before saying network error please restart XCAT, then starting the scan all over again. Have rebooted again and re started the app.
  26. Looks great, I'll take a couple when they are available.
