XC-3730C
I got a couple of VGA CRT monitors from a friend, and want to know what is the cheapest, an easiest option for VGA output on the Xbox? I know there exist tutorials for modifying an HDTV pack, but I am not very good with soldering, nor ready schematics. KaosEngineer
Find a Neoya X2VGA AV pack/adapter https://imgur.com/jJTyCnH or X2VGA2 component to VGA converter. https://imgur.com/LQszxOV https://imgur.com/XpakHdP or, build your own cable and install a modchip flashed with a VGA BIOS. https://imgur.com/odRIA8b Edited January 1, 2019 by KaosEngineer
XC-3730C
Yea most of of those solutions are nearly impossible to find nowadays. I suppose my question should have been, "what is the most readily available VGA solution that I don't have to make".
KaosEngineer
None that I know of that you don't have to make.
ecstone
You can pick up a Component to VGA adapter. There are some that actually work well. On Amazon you can find the Monoprice 107113 converter for $37.46. It has been tested to work with the Xbox.
Rays
VGA is the best choice for playing retro games next to CRT but both CRT & VGA emits more radiation and heat. It also occupies huge space.

KaosEngineer
I forgot about that model of the Neoya line of VGA adapters for the Xbox. There are two of the X2VGA2's listed on ebay.ca too. They want way way too much for them. Edited January 4, 2019 by KaosEngineer
XC-3730C
Yea, the X2VGA is definitely not cheap. I suppose my best option is a component to VGA adapter, since I don't have the time, skillz, or steady hands to make my own. Now however, if I had someone to make a VGA cable, are there schematics or a tutorial to do it, and what BIOS is needed, and can it work on a TSOP XBOX?
