GamerID80
Hi all, just wanted to start a thread regarding my Crystal Xbox Original as its modded with Evox chip and only loads the Evox boot when the chip is enabled and I also press the LED pins with my finger (very odd, no?) I've included an image to show what I mean. The chipped Evox works in this case but wondered if there's anmything I should do? I'm also considering selling it once working. Thanks and cheers for the advice. GamerID80 - Also on the Facebook group.
GamerID80
Just an added note: When turning on with the Mod chip Disabled, it always boots fine. But when the Mod Chip is turned on it will restart three times and flash red/green? This does not happen if I put my finger on the LED pins, then it loads the Mod bios fine first time when turning on, let go of the pin and can use emulation and apps like XBMC fine. No idea why. SS_Dave
You could try spraying some contact cleaner in the 3 switches and work them on and off about 10 or 15 times each, but to me it sounds like the solder joints on the other side of the switchboard need to be resoldered . Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. 1
