Really, any SATA drive that doesn’t take a ridiculously long time to spin up will work. Even those are okay, they’re just so slow you have to start the console twice to actually make them get to dash. Think WD Greens.

Well. They’ll work 50% of the time.

First boot they’re spinning up, don’t respond to the Xbox. Error 7 occurs due to HDD timeout.

Reboot and all all is well.

I’d suggest against BUYING one for this purpose but if you’ve got a green laying around it’s better than Stock.

      Dear All,
      As you all know, FTP big chunks of data takes forever on a 10mb limit, however was looking for alternatives, there's those SATA to USB adpaters, which you can connect directly the HDD to your PC and have up to 60mb second on a USB 3.0, btw I'm using a 2.5 inch HDD
      Is there any program that can access the HDD FATX system and copy directly to it via PC, I heard of an app namely USBXTAFGUI_V45, also heard of XBOX360Explorer, is any solution for this? I have hips of gigs  on my HDD and don't want to wait forever on FTP on 10 megs when I can have it for at least 30 to 60 hopefully. My HDD is unlocked obviously or else it would be harder.
      Thanks

      Hi i messed my xbox up by deleting files off the c drive and to cut a long story short ive managed to get it running again using the hexen disc, i want to boot into XBMC4GAMERS which i have on my E drive, trouble is there is no default.xbe  on my c drive? there is just a IND bios config which says the following

      DASH1=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2\evoxdash.xbe
      DASH2=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\UnleashX\unleashx.xbe
      DASH3=\Device\Harddisk0\Partition1\Dash\EvolutionX\evoxdash.xbe
      DEFAULTXBE=\Device\CdRom0\default.xbe
      not sure why it says default xbe in cd rom because i have removed the Hexen disc? any help would be appreciated.

      I'm debating selling this Xbox and I really don't want to be low-balled because I don't know the true value of it, so I was hoping you guys could help me. I know it's an Xecutor 3 Christmas Edition chip with a black pro switch, which I've heard is pretty rare; the 4th bank switch is missing the cover cap but I'm trying to find a replacement for it.
