I was FTP'ing stuff to my 1.6, it was going for about 14 hours OK then it locked up, I turned it off and on and it tried to kick in twice by starting to go green then restarting before anything comes on the screen then the third time it started the light flashing from green to red I thought maybe my mod chip was playing up so I desoldered it and tried the Xbox, exact same behaviour, no signal to screen and flashing red and green.. The boards had all new caps only a few months ago. What could it possibly be? I looked at the board under zoom on my phone and can't see any obvious signs or problems anywhere. -
Checking to see if anyone has ever tried or known someone who has tried to port the Marathon trilogy to the Xbox? I know the source code is here: https://alephone.lhowon.org/ I've seen this running on the Dreamcast, but have always thought it would be great for an Xbox version. -
Been a member for a while. Just recently TSOP flashed, pimped out my Xbox with a new SSD and a Nexus fan. Pretty neat setup, really. Thanks for reading.

I did a dumb thing and tried to hotswap softmod a second console I have, with a guide from consolemods.org everything was going great but Xplorer360 seemed to have deleted my Partition 4. I saved all the files I could (this is pre softmod so i wasn’t able to backup EEPROM) and now when I boot the Xbox it just goes straight to an error screen, no dashboard. I’m unsure how to unlock the HDD again and what to do from here. It’s a v. 1.0 console with 3944 kernel. Any help is appreciated! I realize what I did was dumb and my only other hope might just be to chip the console, but I have no idea to solder so it might just be out of my scope of knowledge and I’ll have to sell the console as parts or something.

chimp clones to new HDD with out problems but i get error 16 when i put in the new drive after cloning. i tried the 'fix error 16' button in chimp, it said it was good but when i put back in the new HDD i still get Error 16. The stock 10GB HDD i got with the xbox still works if i connect it. i then tired booting the xbox with the 10GB HDD then turning off the xbox and putting in the new HDD but then i got error 13. plz help i already spent like 70$$ on this shit. my xbox is soft modded i removed the clock capacitor i have a compatible HDD, 40-pin/80-wire IDE cables, a working SATA to IDE converter Thank you -
I was talking to someone about my A51 arcade cab this morning and how I had changed the old failing IDE HDD out for a flash solution. And as a result it got me thinking if anyone had ever done this with the XBOX and did it work? Ok I one of my xboxes just stopped working. I started desolder the pin header and my vellman vacuum pump ruined a few traces. So now I wonder where to solder the new wires. And should I cut the traces close to the solder points where it looks a little bit sketchy. I want to repair the visa for pin header and put some wires where it seems like I may have ruined the traces or what you call them. And also another question what is required for being able to download files in file section?

Hello. I tried soft modding my 1.6 with the hot swap method in this video. I coped the C & E drives. While transferring things back I suffered a crash. the E partition is now gone and I can't get Xplorer360 to recognize the drive again. I tried making a recovery DVD and it says the drive is locked. I don't think I can unlock the drive again using the error 12 method. Is there another way I can unlock the drive? Any help would be apprenticed. Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbSb7BFRQNo
