What started as a small project to create Kiosk Demo synopsis, led to updating almost everything I could find for the Xbox. Standalone Arcades and Halo Map Packs from Dominater01's Archive, Emulators from Emuxtras, Homebrew from wherever I could find, Project Deluge prototypes, and CoinOPS/OpenBOR/SORR. The only things I didn't update were Apps and Dominater01's Modded games. I'm burnt out for now and need a break, and my 365 trial expired, so no more Excel. I sent out pm's to every developer I could find asking for info on every item, some didn't respond, so if something is wrong, you'll have to update it manually in Notepad++. I'm sure I didn't get everything right, as a lot of info just couldn't be found easily, most notably Single-player or Multiplayer, 720p support, Online Play, etc. If a game didn't specify these, I put Single-player, and left the other features empty. I ran Rocky's scripts to extract every xbe's info, TitleID, SourceName, FolderName, and input what it gave. If it looks funny, that's just how it is, specifically japanese titles. If the xbe didn't have a SourceName, I used the title of the game. I started out creating Override_TitleID's for the homebrew, but that's just too monotonous. Ain't nobody got time for that, I've got bronchitis. If I ever go back and work on these, I may get to them then. But if you have trouble with something in the artwork installer, the TitleID is probably 00000000, or a match to another game. Just grab one of my Overrides from a homebrew game, change it from Override_TitleID.bin to Override_TitleID.txt. Create an 8 digit ID for your game, save, change back to bin, and install. I'd like to thank @Cian Cunningham for his awesome Spreadsheet, without his formulas I wouldn't have got nearly this far, and Rocky's artwork scripts, which saved a lot of time. Big thanks to @Rocky5 and @nikeymikey for explaining how to use Rocky's scripts in Photoshop also. I also used a few thumbnails for Root Sources, by @RoofTop , Emulators and Homebrew, resizing them a bit so they load faster. The Arcade, CoinOPS, and OpenBOR Root Source thumbnails are from Destronger's emuxtras repo, as is the xMugen set. I just added the Xbox banners and resized to load faster. The art that I somewhat created is Metroid Ninja, Premium Castlevania, the random Deluge protos and its source thumbnail, and the Halo map pack thumbnail. I used Rocky's generic controller resource sets for most everything, so they looked tidy. If something has a screenshot or a video preview, it's from that actual game, not a placeholder. I've also installed generic Halo CE/2 artwork for the map packs, and BOR art for those as well. Everything has some kind of art included, so it's not just an empty looking xbe file. This mostly came from Rockys artwork installer, I just installed it to save you time mindlessly copy/pasting. Be sure to keep an eye out for nikeymikeys XBMC4Gamers resource thread on here for better art that I can provide. There should be original Release Dates for everything in my packs, as the spreadsheet has them completed, but I don't see a way to enable them, unfortunately. I spent a lot of time finding that info. Hopefully, this can rejuvenate interest in the scene, once people start reading the descriptions and realizing there are some cool games out there in the homebrew scene. You don't need any of these games installed to use the resource sets, just ftp the folders, takes about 30 minutes, then press White, Add Source, scan the folders in, and have a look around. You may find something that sounds interesting, and go download it to try it out, who knows. I tried to put the most important info of the descriptions at the top of each game as it scrolls, and the changelogs, updates, etc, are at the bottom. If something doesn't have a description, it didn't include a readme.txt file, or I couldn't find info related to it online. I spent time on every single game, without over doing it, so it should be easy to read. Don't forget to Press Y in XBMC4Gamers' dash, to view the enhanced synopsis info, and press DPAD Right, to tab over to the Screenshots and Video Preview, if available. Rocky says not a lot of people even know this exists, hopefully I can get others to give it a chance. Just make sure to not have a music playlist going in the background, or it will run out of RAM on a stock Xbox. LT/RT super scrolls also, very handy. I don't know what the View Type is called in dash, but in XBMC4Gamers v2.1.001, it's at the very top, 3rd one right. There are only 2 that are darkly shaded, this one scrolls horizontally. I think it's the best experience, myself. Here's the link. Have Fun! And keep an eye on nikey's thread for future artwork. -Nok

I'm going through and updating old synopsis for every homebrew and have a few questions. I'll publish them here once finished. Developer/Publisher links are often outdated and the site is no longer, xbox-scene.com, for example. Should I include the outdated link for nostalgia purposes, or update them with working links, if they exist? -aftershock.xbox-scene.com (Should I change this to xbox-scene.info, or xboxscene.org? Or keep the original and add xbox-scene.info/xboxscene.org beside it? If I can't find who ported a game, do I include the developer/publisher of the original game, or just put Homebrew? There are lots of X's in most of these names, should I remove them so it looks cleaner on the dash? AmphetamineX, xArtShot, BarrageX, Battle Pong X, etc. I can keep the actual names in the description screen, but keep it clean while scrolling. Does anyone know anything about the OpenBOR games? I see multiple names of each, wondering which one is correct: -CNSV, Code Name Sailor V, or Sailor V? -Sailor Moon, or Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon? -Rhythm of Destruction-BORR2-Blue, or Rhythm of Destruction-Beats of Rage Remix 2-Blue? -Vampire Rage, Vampires Rage, Vampires Rage-Hide, or Vampires Rage-Alteration? (Are Hide and Alteration the same game?) -Tomb Raider, or Tomb Raider (OpenLara). Should I keep OpenLara in the name, or just Tomb Raider? -Out of This World, Another World. This is named differently for each region, do I keep them both? -Star Wars AfterShock, or Star Wars: A New Hope For Homebrew? AfterShock Pool SX, or AfterShock Pool SX: Lantus Birthday Release? Super Mario War: Halloween, I've found multiple people that helped make it, General Guy, Link901, KingPepe, MC Jimmy, Mr Mister, Tanuki, XS197, Asgardreid, Gadouken, LKA, Jjames19119. Do I include them all in the description window, or does someone know if one or two were the lead? Is there a list of Homebrew that are online enabled. I've found two so far, xConnect4 v1.1 and Quake III: Arena. xLime is System Link as well. When a game states that it's a clone of an original, do I label it as a Port or Homebrew? Are Duke Nukem 3D and Atomic the same game? If not does anyone have a link to Atomic? The following are known to exist, if anyone has a link they can pm me... -Dead Pygmies/Pigmies (Is Dead Babies the same game?) -Double Dragon Returns (I have every other variant) -Golden Axe Remake 2 (I have v1) -Heroes Snakes_V1 -MegaMan Extreme Legend (I have v2) -Primal Rage -Super Mario Brawl -SuperMonkeyBallDX Note: If you've ported or made an Xbox homebrew, and I haven't messaged you, please contact me. I'm trying to get in contact with XPort, A600, ShiZNO, and Mr.Q!, if anyone knows them. Thanks.

Anyone know how I can add a filter to the options in my Xbox games list to filter games by various info taken from the synopsis file. for example, show only system link games, or co-op games, Racing, strategy, platform etc etc. all the info is there. Just need a way to display only selected types

XBMC4Gamers Synopsis Information This is a HDD ready XBMC4Gamers synopsis information setup. It was generated from a spreadsheet I made in which I collated as much information as I could find for the complete list of Xbox titles. The first building block of this spreadsheet was Cameron Brigmans list of Xbox games. The rest was taken from old defunct websites such as HDTVArcade using the wayback machine and the current Wikipedia pages. All sources linked and credited in the spreadsheet. You can filter this list by rating, genre etc. All US games ratings taken from Metacritic for consistency. It's a good tool for exploring the complete list of Xbox titles. As far as I can see it is the most up to date and complete list anywhere. This spreadsheet is very much a byproduct of creating synopsis information for Rockys XBMC4Gamers but it turned out to be a good tool for picking through titles and deciding what to fill a 2tb drive with so I have included it on the Github. Just download the 'Games.zip', extract it for the full list of HDD ready files and transfer as needed. These synopsis should be compatible with all XBMC. 3.5.3 or above once Rocky5's custom synopsis script and custom XBMC xbe are used. The US list is complete, the EU games all have some if not all information (except ESRB ratings) but the JAP games information is scant, description for most but the information is not as detailed for them. Huge thanks to Rocky5 for all his help and for creating the batch tool to automate separating out the individual default.xml files into folders from the initial excel to xml export. Any issues anyone finds I can fix and update accordingly when I have time. I hope this enhances your XBMC4Gamers setup.
