  1. I hope you will do international shipping. Last month there was one like this sold and if I'm not mistaken it went for 700US$.
  2. Some weeks ago I received the package from @Nemesis with the dual fan-mod. After I ordered the correct fans I started to build it into one of my spare xbox consoles. The console is a v1.0 with cerbios flashed to the tsop. The only extra mod I did was replacing the stock GPU heatsink with the 12v mini fan with a fanless heatsink with one of a later model. Parts I used for this mod: Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX, 60mm 2x Noctua NF-A8 FLX, 80mm 3pin fan splitter (I used another model) Step 1 Replacing the stock fan: I decided to replace the stock fan with a 60mm noktua fan. First remove the old fan from the case. You need to place the noktua fan in the bracket (mind the direction of the fan, the fan must blow air out of the case) If you install the fan in the bracket you can add the mounting tabs to the bracket like this: Then put it in place where the original fan was: To power the fan I choose to use the 3pin header where the old 12v gpu fan was powered. In later revisions there is no fan header there but the holes are there. With the later models you can solder the fan header there (included in the kit). Keep in mind if you use this fan header the fan spins at 100%. There are 2 tabs in the kit to close the holes from the stock fan on the underside of the xbox: Step 2 Install the fan shroud: To install the fan shroud remove these 3 screws from the motherboard: Then put the shroud in place and put the screws back in place: Step 3 Installing the dvd remove kit pcb: NOTE: If you use a modern bios like CerBIOS you can skip this step because CerBIOS has an option to completely remove the dvd software by setting "DriveSetup = 2" in the cerbios.ini on your c drive. If you use an older scene bios like ind-bios, x2, x3, evox m8 or project stellar you need to trick the xbox that there is a dvd present. Otherwise you will get stuttering in the dashboard when you go to the file explorer. I just did stick the pcb on the back of the console with double sided tape. Step 4 Install the dvd remove front bezel holder: Remove the front bezel of your dvd drive and put it on this part of the kit: And screw it in place with the 2 screws where the dvd drive originally was screwed in. I also routed my molex power for the hdd drive like this. Step 5 Install the 80mm fans: Place your fans like this so they blow to the motherboard. Here I used a 3pin splitter cable (with this version I can attach 4 fans to one fan header). Also install the 2 cylinder spacers to support he bracket. Screw the fans tight with 2x4 screws and use one of the 2 top peaces to do this (1 black and 1 blue) Step 6 Install the hdd drive in the caddy: Remove the dvd drive from it's caddy and install the 3d printed hdd holder: Then install the hdd drive in it and screw the hdd from the bottom: Step 7 Start to assemble back the xbox: First you need to install the HDD back in the xbox, but before you do this connect the 2 80mm fans to the 3pin header on the motherboard.
  3. strange, I got a whole different experience with this adaptor than you (I must say its like 2 years ago). This adaptor did let my xbox boot slow when a dvd drive was attached. Sometimes it would not boot and gave an error. When I removed the dvd drive the xbox booted normal.
  4. Did you test all these adapters yourself for udma compatibility? If yes, I can add these to the compatibility list on xbox-scene.info
  5. FYI: If you remove the dvd drive some of the cheap ones can support udma5. I have some of these ones with jumper: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005001838556451.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.68.350879d2bfdqAU&gatewayAdapt=glo2nld
  6. What is the resistance of your flex in comparison to MM his cable? As it are high frequent signals this can be an issue. edit: people that not use enough solder on the mm one get the same result. On the 1.0-1.5 flex its the side that is on the left side on the chip (with most connections)
  7. You are right about this but 480i only games will output 480i only. To output these games as 480P you can use a force 480P bios to force the output to 480P.
  8. That spd looks a very nice solution instead of soldering wires.
  9. Yes, you can edit this line in the cerbios.ini: ; Drive Setup ; 0 = HDD & DVD, 1 = HDD & No DVD (Legacy Mode), 2 = HDD & No DVD (Modern Mode), 3 = Dual HDD DriveSetup = 2 The modern mode removes the whole dvd code out of the bios so you don't have the stutter and freezes in the dash menu. So with cerbios there is no need for the pcb.
  10. You just did say you have started to test all the games on your origins build one by one. My question is: will you share the results, the games that don't work ect. I'm interested to know what games have problems. And my other question was if your xbox where you do the testing with uses cerbios as bios? @Bowlsnapper you are right about the assh**e part haha, but I can forgive you
  11. Are you testing with cerbios and are you planning to release your findings here? I'm genuine interested in the outcome of your testings.
  12. Does this also remove the softmod files after the flash and put the ini and BootAnims folder on c?
  13. Ah ok, didnt get the joke sorry, Im not native english thats why. No not that I know of, not documented as I know. As a lot of people use the origins image it can help them to fix the origins build and replace the not working games.
  14. You will not kill your hdd by playing games and igr out, if your hdd is killed by doing that it has a problem already. I did this for the full library of iso games btw, no hdd where killed that way
  15. Inside joke: We are stil not at the end of the week haha. I can't make a list because I don't have the origins build anymore, but if you have time you can try and make one. Even if you just see if the game boots to the first level there will be a usefull list. Then people that play the game over time can leave notes if the game keeps working further in the game.
  16. This is not for all games the case, toca3 give a dirty disc when you play world tour. The version on origins is patched so you can play world tour but when you come around 50% of the world tour then it trows a dirty disc error. When you make an xiso the old way with quix it also give an dirty disc error. the only way to be sure this game works is to have a full dd xiso or make a xiso/cci with repackinator. lots of work if you know you can get xiso build over night when you sleep, repackinator build them in batch
  17. With xiso and cci your games are untouched. This way you are sure the game works till the end of the game. I don't know how long you are in the scene but I had a modded xbox back in the day when they where the present console. I can recall one of the star wars kotor games that where freezing mid game because of the long file names. Well the solution then was to use a save game past that mission to play further in the game. Well this things are a pain in the ass anno 2023 when we now have xiso ect. Because a lot of the games in folder structure need to be patched you never know if the patching is done right till you play the game till the end. There are also games that need to be patched and that there is no patch available. Thats where iso and cci come in, with these files you don't have to play the game till the end to know if it will work or not. ps @Bowlsnapper your list is not complete, I did mention some extra games after my initial comment to you that need to be xiso. Also for the origins build, I do not remember them all anymore, these are the ones I remembered but there where more problem games on origins.
  18. no there is no problem with cm3. I was saying to nemesis this game was working with an unpatched bios with the HD+. considered this is a 480i game this should not work but it does. for examples of problem with insignia check there discord. I think the big challenge is the 3 different video encoders. The kernel is not that big of a problem. I think the kernel is not that different from each other because later games must also work on v1.0 hardware for example.
  19. Colin mcrae rally 2005 can run 480p, I was talking about Colin mcrae rally 3, this is an 480i only game. for the folder vs xiso debate, it's the other way around, folders can give problems with some games. I gave you the advantages of xiso in the cerbios thread some days ago so I wil not go over it again. If you want to hear another plus for xiso: games that run from folders must be patched in a lot of cases to run properly. This is done by dvd2xbox with the acl patches. While these games do run they can cause problems with insignia if you want to play online.
  20. I run the xiso and have no problems with that game.
  21. Thats something you will need to test. In the makemhz discord they always say the flex is not soldered good when there is little solder on top of the flex when people have image problems. btw that flex looks premium
  22. This is not the flex for the encoder chip right? edit: or is this just an generic example picture?
  23. Enter the matrix is a game capable of running at 1080i No, I only run untouched xiso and cci made by repackinator. These have the best compatibility. This is not a good route to go, this can cause problems with insignia. also not every game can/have a patch. Having aa patched bios is the most clean route to take. (my opinion)
  24. One man is steering the ship, but you have the whole community behind you. I think everyone wants to see a 2nd big hdmi mod with support for multiple chips and bioses. For the software side, I did tests with my HD+ modded console with cerbios. This runs fine if you stick to 480p games. When you run 480i only games its another story. (not with all because colin mcrea rally 3 runs and that game is a 480i game) Edit: I think the makemhz XBOXhdmi is based of the ryzee119 project
