  1. Damn, 100 federal reserve. Maybe lot's of other stuff, other than controllers? Console on the rarer side?
  2. Duh. I measure temperatures while it's turned off.
  3. try following on screen instructions about component connection messed up softmod?
  4. Better buy original controller. Third party analog sticks and triggers uses crappy potentiometers, out of spec or something, making super sensitive, same goes for triggers. You can replace it with original alps from scrap pile. Madcats or any other brand will suck. Not sure about logitech, but i doubt they use proper ALPS brand analog sticks and triggers. I had few off brand controllers, where ok build quality, but analog controls were funny, unplayable. And never had problems with it. Probably funky software problem you have there. Try other emulators.
  5. do you shill for thermal paste companies? Everyone is changing xbox thermal paste left and right, because no one explained this properly without before and after comparison, and everyone is thinking that replacing thermal paste on some machines is worthwhile. It's like talking to audiphile, Oh these power cables does make sound better.
  6. CPU/GPU temp decrease are so marginal, that is pointless, fan speed is not confirmed nor denied since no measurements were taken. There is also thing called placebo effect. Stock thermal performance is more than adequate and still works. For 1-2 degree gain, it's like comparing super expensive and average priced thermal paste. For my ears fan speed did not changed, humming sound of the fan was identical,. Talking about my real life experience. Remember, placebo effect is real.
  7. this video supports that repaste is pointless, and i'm, talking from my personal experience too. xbox 360 is also the same case, i have 2008 falcon v2 with stock paste. ps3, ps4, xbox one, xbox 360 slim uses regular paste, in these cases it matters to replace. All experiments and evidences backs up my statement. xbox 360 with 2008 mfd goes strong and cool with stock cooling compound. I can show pictures if you don't believe.
  8. there are plenty of other sites to download
  9. too much hoops for a 80gb drive. but if you really want, why not.
  10. yea, dvd error. could be connection broble, anything.
  11. don't bother with ide 2.5" drive. 3.5" ide yes.
  12. benefit is marginal at best. same thing for x360, they use some sort of cement as well. ps4, xone uses regular paste - worth replacing. x360 overheating is a myth.
  13. it doesn't age, maybe in 300 years, while regular paste needs change after 1-2 year. it's practically glued. no air gaps for sure. benefit is like 5c, not worth it.
  14. the compound used is sorta like a rubber, under heat it softens. like ps2 rubber pad, but more advanced and more efficient. same for cpu.
  15. i get dirty disc error, any hdd fix or tutorial?
