  1. this is the best one, looks like its on sale too https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Drive-Optical-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00EOJNGC2
  2. I believe you have to do it in a programming language
  3. green fan looks sick. you could put a heatsink on the MCPX chip with adhesive pads. if you did all that and the temps are 60c I am not sure. Sometimes it doesnt seem to make sense. I did the same thing to 3 xboxs (fully cleaned, thermal paste changed etc etc) and 2 of them idle at 40c, one idles at 55c no matter what. I have heard the xboxs chips are rated for 100c before the xbox shuts down, and I have a suspicion your xbox may idle at 60c yet not go over that while gaming.
  4. awesome man thank you for going through the effort. I always wanted why DHCP wasnt by default.
  5. I have the monster Svideo cables and i love them
  6. You will love it. Something about buying a $20 xbox and making it so damn useful
  7. I have a paid version of FlashFXP and never have any issues. UnleashX does seem to have the highest speeds. So I run UnleashX as an Application, then FTP.
  8. pcsxboxv22b25 is the one I use. I have only played 2 games on it. Shadow Tower and Initial D. both worked flawlessly. However, I think i remember trying to Diablo 2 back in the day and it didn't run so well. I think it depends on the game of course.
  9. ive heard this is normal but you can disable it by soldering 2 points on the chip itself. not 100% sure
  10. My quake 3 arena that works is about 1GB in size. Also doesnt show up on XBMC so I have to manually go to file explorer and launch the .xbe manually. The game works great for me. No servers found on multiplayer but I havent messed with it or anything, and there may be no servers. Launching single player matches works great though, game feels so smooth.
  11. You use the Pal version if you have a Pal xbox. No you don't need to delete your game saves. You can transfer your saves to the new HDD yes. Easiest way is once you have your dashboard modded, FTP to the xbox when it still has stock hdd, backup all your TDATA/UDATA to your PC. Then use "XSaveMgr" aka Xbox-saves Manager. This program is very easy to use. You just select the UDATA I believe, and it will FTP all the saves to your new HDD with no hassle. The new HDD has to have a dash and stuff obv to FTP to it. Alternatively you can just use Xbox-saves Manager to backup all your saves in the first place if its easier.

    Starcraft: Ghost

Did anyone ever get a hold of this game? if not, I bet a Blizzard dev kit would be the motherload of finds. This was a Starcraft game for Xbox,GC, and PS2 that got scrapped.
  13. i usually just softmod installing unleashX, bridge TSOP points, use Hexen to flash the bios I want, then manually install XBMC by designating the install directory with the new bios config file
  14. TSOP doesnt need wire unless its a SHARP tsop chip
  15. congrats man, im too much of a wimp to attempt ram upgrade
  16. this filezilla I linked should work on windows XP. To put emulators on for unleashX is really easy. Assuming you have a stock HDD, you go into your E drive, and make a folder named "emus". Then you extract your emulator(use WinRar), and drag it into the emulators folder. Make sure its not double foldered, for example : E:\emus\Surreal64\Surreal64\default.xbe. This would be wrong. It should be something like E:\emus\Surreal64\default.xbe. here is a good place to download roms but its illegal bla bla bla https://www.emuparadise.me/ here is a pack of 97 emulators for xbox. Some may be slightly out of date but its a good place to start. http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/xbox/emulators/97-emulators-for-xbox/ FileZilla_3.8.0_win32-setup.exe
  17. Finally! This version actually works. Instead of dragging it to the batch though, I dragged them onto the XBMCTex.exe. When I dragged onto the batch it gave me an error.

  21. Ultracore 0.5mm thin solder wire, non-corrosive alloy; 60/40 Tin/Lead, with inner cores of flux from Eurasia, Kynar wire 30awg, liquid flux from amazon, Hakko 939-1, 700 F, isopropyl alcohol 91% just did my 1st LPC rebuild recently and it went smooth. Felt pretty easy.
